Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village

Zaru listened to the Mudkip in front of him. From the forest huh? Could he be a traveller like his family was? But from how this Mudkip was acting, it seemed like he was more lost than what a traveller should look like. Before he could reply, however, a Luxray passed by. Zaru tensed up. That wasn't good. This Luxray was an adult and who knows if he would tell Spirit about Zaru's late night habits.

"H-Hey, Luxray..." He called out to the 'adult' and then looked down. "Can you keep this a secret? I don't think the guildmaster would like it that I'm out here at night." It was way past curfew after all and only a few children in the guild had the guts to go out and explore at night. As for him, he was just hanging out here at night so there shouldn't be anything wrong with that right? Well even so, breaking curfew is still breaking curfew and he might get another earful from Spirit.

And then suddenly, a female's voice piped up and a Mawile appeared. And she was obviously angry at them because it was late at night and they were still awake. Gods, this was the first time he got busted in a long while. The Chimchar couldn't even make up a proper excuse right now. So he decided to lay down the truth. "I ain't tired but I just hang around the village." He stated his reason why he was awake and then gestured to the Mudkip, "And he just found his way here." His statement was further reinforced by the Mudkip telling them that they needed a place to stay.

Zaru looked at the Luxray once more. He hasn't seen him before really but that didn't matter, it seems he's part of the guild too. Maybe one of those seniors that always went on expeditions and just came back or something. Yeah, that must be it. "Do you think they can stay at the guild for the meantime?" He asked Milton. Outsiders can't usually stay inside the guild if he wasn't mistaken but maybe they can make an exception for these two.

If not then maybe they can go around asking the people to take them in for a while. He remembered the time when his family just entered Valiant Village, the villagers welcomed them with open arms and they even gave him a place to stay momentarily. They'll surely do the same for these two right?
Zaru the Chimchar

Valiant Village

It had been a long and uneventful day for the Chimchar. He only went through two requests and both were simply taking supplies from one end to another. It was a tedious job, but pays good nonetheless. He wasn't sure whether he regretted not being in one of those teams who went on expeditions every now and then or not. The jobs went well enough and he got paid. It was over even before noon and so he spent almost the whole day lazing around the town square or inside the guild.

At some point or another, he fell asleep for quite some time and so when he woke up in the night, he wasn't tired at all. He really ought to fix those sleeping habits of his. It was all over the place. He couldn't count on both hands how many times Spirit, their guild's master, had chewed off his tongue because he couldn't wake up properly in some mornings. But everyone knew about his odd sleeping habits so as time passed by, everyone just got used to him being late or at least groggy.

Currently, he was sitting atop a tree, looking over the Valiant Village. The fire in his backside glowed brightly for a moment when he spotted a pokemon approach the entrance. It wasn't anyone he recognized from the village and he looks a little bit lost. He knew those looks everywhere since he used to encounter those kinds of pokemon when he was younger. He nimbly climbed down the tree, almost silent even as he did his best not to disturb the leaves, and approached the pokemon.

"Hello there." Zaru greeted as he walked closer to the pokemon, hoping that he hadn't startled him in some way. Now that he got a good look at him, he was a Mudkip. Yup, definitely not from the village. He then stopped in front of the Mudkip. He couldn't clearly see any indications to where the Mudkip came from but he definitely went through the forest if he entered through the entrance. After a pause, Zaru spoke once more. "Do you need help or something?" He figured he should know what this certain pokemon needed first before asking his name. He paused so the Mudkip could answer. Zaru didn't want to make the other panic by showering him with a ton of questions.
@RiverMaiden@Narcotic Dollie

Hm, this should've been expected. The only reason Aurora stopped fighting before was because her captain, the fairie that had accompanied the princess before, let him go. Of course she wouldn't be oh so willing to hand over the grimoire just like that. And what she was doing right now was actually quite effective. To threaten something or someone that is important to another is a great way to get them to follow your every whim. He should know, he had seen it before from his legion's torturer/information gatherer.

Uriel could clearly see how much Naya is suffering just from this. The demon general knew that if he even moved an inch, Aurora wouldn't even hesitate to burn that book. He didn't know what was inside the book so he remained silent, his eyes traveling from Naya to Aurora. It was obvious that the witch was struggling to keep herself from grabbing and then possibly attacking the fairie who was holding her book. Well at least Naya could keep this calm right now.

If Aurora burned the book, Uriel was more than sure that Naya might mangle the Child of Fae's body with her own bare hands. Alright maybe that was an exaggeration but she would attack her and Uriel would be forced to help Naya do so. If Aurora did burn the book and Naya managed to contain herself and just leave, Uriel would probably be more than happy to watch the Child of Fae stumble everywhere to desperately find a way out of Deathwood without their help. Who knows, she might even encounter another General who was more merciless than him.

So it's free roam for now?

Oh wait, I'll jump in the next day then.
Ulrich Halechstin

Ulrich couldn't contribute much really but he did listen in on their brainstorming. He was pretty much amazed by how they were able to figure it out that quickly. They might be wrong though but it seems they were keen on putting out their only source of light. The idea of having no light was quite familiar to him as he travelled in the dead of night without a single light source before, courtesy of their village. He quickly took out his tome from his bag to prepare himself. Who knows what might happen in the dark. And lightning should make fire right?

He looked at Varrus and then nodded. He waited for further orders from them as it seems they were the ones who would be leading this group. He kept his senses alert. He then placed himself behind the nobles and would slowly follow them from behind, as if he was in charge of watching the rear part of the group.
Name: Zaru

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Chimchar

Backstory: Zaru was born and partially raised outside the village. Their tribe usually travelled from one place to another to hone their talents further. They would climb mountains, travel through forests like it's any other day. That was Zaru's everyday life and he enjoyed the heck out of it. He and his brother would usually compete on who's better which just makes Zaru better and better. They were one happy family but then their parents got sick and soon died from this illness because they didn't have the necessary herbs to heal them.

So Zaru and Rick departed for Valiant Village, the nearest village to their position. They managed to ease in perfectly thanks to the hospitality of the people there. He didn't think about it much but he was interested at Spirit's Guild. It was for explorers they say. Before he knew it though, he had gone through four seasons in the village already and he grew up. Despite coming from a family who can't stay put, he seemed to be very relaxed and just watched the other pokemon play. Suddenly, Rick up and left and said that he didn't want being stuck in one place. He asked Zaru if he wanted to come but the chimchar politely declined and stayed at Valiant Village.

Another year passed after that and he finally decided to join Spirit's Guild. Although this would be his second year there, he still hasn't joined a team yet. He usually takes applications that are basic and that's why he managed to get by without a team. But he seemed keen on joining one so he can get to more explorations. Sometimes, even a laid back pokemon has the spirit of an adventurer after all.

Personality: Zaru's the type of pokemon who is very laid back. He seems to just go with the flow, and doesn't seem to think about what the future has in store for him. He is friendly and usually spends most of his time basking in the glory of sunlight while sitting on a tree branch although he likes rain too of course. He also likes watching other pokemon play around while he simply watches, not seemingly intent on joining in on the fun. It's odd that he isn't as hyperactive as pokemon his age but that's just the type of guy he is.

Although this doesn't necessarily mean you can't pump him up to go on expeditions. Actually just say the word and he'll spring to action. He won't take the lead or become one of the most hyperactive person but he will follow around and try to help as much as he can. Despite being very laid back in his free time, he's seen to still be more agile and quick than most Chimchar's out there making him quite an asset. He isn't afraid to get down and dirty and can hold himself against a real fight.

Team: Zaru does not have an established team, yet.

Moveset:
  • Ember
  • Fury Swipes
  • Flame Wheel
  • Taunt

Special Features: Looks just like any other Chimchar but he's more agile and stronger than average.

Family: Rick the Monferno - Older Brother (Traveling)

Guild Affiliation: Spirit's Guild

Name: Drogo

Gender: Male

Pokemon: Salamence

Occupation: Treasure Hunter

Backstory: Drogo was raised in a family of proud Salamence. They were rich bankers who really earned every penny they had. His mother and father thought him from a very young age that he should appreciate what he has and if not then he'll have to work for what he wants to have. That is the start of Drogo’s love for money. He had started exploring dungeons dungeons as a job and even entered an exploration guild once.

But then something went wrong. His parents were attacked while on the way for a transaction with a client. He was in the guild back then and he dropped out after inheriting his parents’ money. He deposited all of it to the bank and began exploring dungeons again but as a treasure hunter.

Although no one knows where Drogo actually lives. Some say that he moves around, some say in a small village that is unknown to others while some go as far as saying that he lives in the dungeons. He does not disclose this information to anyone else, even his friends. They also say that he has more money than what he has in the bank, way more money, and that he hides that in a secret place. Whether these are true or not eludes everyone who knows him.

Personality: Drogo absolutely loves money and that is why he goes around defeating dungeons to collect a lot of treasure. He doesn't do anything to hide this part of him. He is greedy in terms of money and wouldn't give any to people unless it would benefit him as well. However, he does not steal from innocent Pokemon and does not kill others for it. He can also be a good friend given that one wouldn't expect him to give you some of his riches.

However, he still has brains and does not easily give in to the lure of money if he thinks it is a trap or if he has to risk his life to get it. After all, his life is more important than small chunks of gold and jewels.

He has a sense of loyalty to people he deems worthy of it. People who gained his trust, people who fought with him and had his back. They are the only exception to his endless greed. But even then, it is only a small portion on what he has.

Moveset:
  • Dragon Breath
  • Dragon Claw
  • Fly
  • Flamethrower

"She was just being cautious I guess; she never did travel in a group before." Alex replied. "Nice? Yeah, I guess she is." He sounded unsure at best but it was understandable considering he just met her and he couldn't be sure about her personality yet. He then nodded and then opened the gate, careful not to alert the zombies around and then quickly closed it once she was through. He then hopped inside and then waited.

"Maybe he should've gone back here." He muttered before getting out of the car and then looking around. The lack of zombies made him feel weird. He was too used to seeing them around that it was very odd now. He waited outside and allowed Nikki to choose what house they should go in first. When she chose one, he followed in.

"Sure, why not." Alex replied before moving forward but he stopped as his hair was ruffled. He would've argued not to do that to him but found no reason to do so. Oh yeah, they had a bunch of cars now. Personally, Alex never really learned how to drive one, just the basics, and even then he would prefer to walk. But he was still exhausted somewhat so he just nodded in agreement.

"I saw him with the new girl, Eliza, earlier on. Don't know where he is now though." He replied, accompanying it with a shrug. He wasn't really sure on what happened to the two since he didn't pay any mind to them as he played with the zombies outside.

Miroku stood up when he heard the alarms go off. When Mr. Zodiac said something about their first mission, the red haired boy didn't know whether he was excited or scared. Probably both really. Nevertheless, he stood up. Alright so evidently, fighting wasn't everyone's strong suit but they should scrape by if they worked together on this. Or if they're lucky, the monsters they'd be fighting are really weak. Something like first level weak when you compare it to a video game.

He then awaited for further orders from Mr. Zodiac. His body seemed primed and ready to fight by now.
