Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Do you have a sample CS or do we make it on our own?
Vladimir kept his distance from the others. What he really just saw were mere blurry figures and only a few key features like Dae's wings were the things he could see. He could feel them there, just like how an electric eel could feel their prey around them. The blurriness of everything would take some getting used to especially if he wanted to go back. And he had to get this electricity under control too.

The black haired male eyed them cautiously. They were all victims of the experiment so he could trust them to an extend correct? He slowly walked towards them, making sure that the hospital gown that he wore actually covered him unlike the other person earlier. He felt odd in this get up and he wanted out of it but there were no clothes for them.

Before he could think of a way to maybe shock one of the scientists into giving him their clothing, one of them spoke. He, or perhaps she maybe? introduced himself. He could not see the awkward smile he gave off but he listened to every word, at least that didn't get impaired. "My name is Vladimir, call me what you want." He supposed he might as well interact with them. A name is but a name, that's all after all. "I practically shocked someone there unconscious without knowing. I'd like to explore more about this. He said, looking at his light gray hands. "But of course, we can still wait if there are others."

He wanted to know how exactly he could use this electrical pulses to his advantage. He could feel them around him. There was... six of them? More inside the laboratory. Too many. There were probably tons of scientists and doctors in there. He would like to go back in there later on, to ask how to get out of this place without having to swim who knows how many miles back to civilization. As an eel, he could do that but maybe he should see if he could go back to normal because having a tail and gray skin isn't the most normal thing in the world.

He then turned to Felix, returning the half-hearted chuckle. "Well, it is definitely interesting. If... I can ask, uh, what do you guys look like? I really can't see three feet in front of me." He told them.

As for Julia, she looked back to the entrance to see the others there. She scampered down the tree and then nimbly headed towards them. Her eyes scanned over them quickly, analyzing them, just like how she would do that to her clients. If there were any signs of aggression and such, so far there isn't. One thing caught her eye, the beautiful wings that sprout from Dae's back.

She cautiously approached the male. She then tapped his back to get his attention before grinning at him, "Nice wings." She complimented before jumping back again, as if to maintain a certain distance from the male. She then turned her attention to Vladimir who had asked what they looked like and she immediately assumed what animal was infused with them.

"I'm Julia, or Jules, you guys might know the name as the daughter of this drug dealer and pickpocket. Well it's true. Anyway, I'm a monkey! See? Long tail, extra hair. Although I still look mostly human considering primates are our closest relative and stuff." She said everything without hesitating. Even revealing her past just like that as if it was the most normal thing to say. Weird kid but that's her.

One way they showed me how to type up a wall-o-text was to think, what exactly would your character do? Feel? Respond? Orally? Physically? And stuff like that. I can't keep that up for long but they know how to do it. Don't worry, sometimes, I don't know how they do it either.
@Framing A Moose

Actually, Skelly was supposed to be more of a joking dragon. He would be all less professional as opposed to Vincent's 'do everything by the book' manner. Then I decided against it. And now I pretty much regret that.

@olcharlieboi

It took some time for me to get to that point. Mostly because of friends from another site who post this huge walls of text and I just felt compelled to match it... or something like that.
@olcharlieboi

Thanks, been working on that for an hour or so.
The twins had filed up with the rest of the trainee adventurers. It hasn't been long since they entered the Adventurer's Guild which explains why they haven't moved up yet. They didn't mind though, they had to work hard to get somewhere and there was no shortcut to becoming a professional. While no one was talking yet, Vince looked at his sister before asking, "Has there been no important messages from Lady Ju'tai?"

Celestia shook her head. "The only thing that she does is ask me questions about how we are doing and if we are learning things here." Was her reply, prompting his brother to groan in reply. He thought that there was some ulterior motive to this whole 'join the guild' thing. Maybe there wasn't and the Lady simply wanted them to learn more about the world rather than being stuck at that occult shrine. He wanted to know more about it but then they were all silenced by an old man standing beneath the skull of the dragon who had once claimed this city and that very spot its home. It's dead now, obviously.

The old man claimed that his name was Bendis and began recounting the tale on why they were hired for this job. It was a sad tale as this man lost almost everything dear to him. His brother, his son, his wife and his valuable, leaving him only with a wrecked village and a grandson. They wanted justice. Upon the mentioning of Vrediln, the twins visibly tensed up. The God of Torment, Agony and Torture. He was one of Lady Ju'tai's enemies. Ju'tai may have been the mistress of darkness and stealth and may have wanted sacrifices but she was never as evil as the other gods and goddesses. But she despised Vrediln the most. Legend says that the two fought and almost everything was taken from Ju'tai, it was a truly horrid tale.

Back to the matter at hand, so they were supposed to kill all the bandits, including the priestess. It was perfect. Vince thought that this was the reason to why Ju'tai sent them to this place. To help slay the priestess of her enemy. Celestia thought that it was too. She didn't care about bringing justice to the old man; she simply wanted to do what was right for her goddess. Vince raised his hand, "Is it safe to assume that you know of the whereabouts of these bandits?" It was a basic and obvious question. Should the old man not know about the place, they would have to spend hours upon hours trying to search for them. It was simply a waste of time.
Vincent half-listened to the orientation while half-reading the open book in his hands. It wasn't really that long, sadly, and he only got to finish two pages worth of text before they had to sing the anthem of the school. From what he heard, the summoners inside this arena would either go big or go evil. Was there no in betweens? He sighed and then stood up with the other students, closed his book and start singing the anthem. It wasn't long after that when they were dismissed to their first classes.

As he headed for his classroom, he was looking for another person. The friend he made at the library, Pamela. She said she passed the examination for being a summoner and last he heard, she was going to enrol as well. Having someone you know really does ease your nerves a little bit. This was all very new to him. As someone hailing from a commoner background, seeing something so extravagant and humongous in size and being able to walk, live and learn in it is quite a unique thing. Well, he guessed that summoners did have special privileges; privileges that neither one of his parents ever got to taste before going to the grave.

Shaking the thought out of his head, he followed the other students into one of the classrooms and took his seat and quickly examining the books in front of him. One was "The Basics to Summoning", a familiar book that he managed to find in the library but he never got to finish it before moving onto the next book and it was such a long time ago that he didn't remember much about it. "Our World and the Others" was just plain unknown to him. Ah well, he guessed he didn't really needed to know about it in the past since Ms. Oni is going to teach them.

She began a rundown on the type of summons and stuff which a beginning summoner should know about. While she was doing this, Vincent began to flip through the pages of the second book, the theory book, to get to know more about it before they even start the lesson. He had a habit of being ahead in classes. When she mentioned that the headmaster's grandson was going to demonstrate the summoning ritual, Vincent looked up to see how it actually worked. He introduced himself as Charles and claimed to want to become a dragon master in the future. So there were others like him who had their minds set on a specialization. Charles began the summoning ritual and Vincent watched intently. The step by step procedure, the chants to start the summoning, Charles was doing everything exactly like what he read. He hasn't seen one in person so this was actually pretty exciting for him.

It wasn't long until a small white dragon materialized from the fan. The two exchanged their vows mentally or something like that. After a bright light, Charles was once more alone and tired. A summoning was a tiring thing to do after all. He then went back to his seat. A successful summon, that's pretty good. He wondered if he could do the same.

Well, he wanted to find that out now. He stepped up to the front. "I am Vincent Validosta." He started before bowing his head to the class. "I want to become a necromancer someday." He continued. His eyes quickly darted through the whole class and seeing the familiar blonde there put a small smile to his face. He then turned to the chest, picked up an old looking black crystal ball, a weird color for it but it works, and then picked up a chalk to recreate the magic circle earlier and then placing the black crystal ball next to it. He knelt down and placed one hand on the circle. With eyes open, his magical aura flowed from his body to the summoning circle, its color being the same light grey color like his hair. "I, Vincent Validosta, call upon the ancient contracts of the past to summon thee, please, heed my call." He took a deep breath and his eyes seemed more focused on the circle. "Come, Shadow Elemental." His voice wasn't as loud as Charles's but it had the same effect. The black crystal ball started shaking and darkness seemed to seep out of the ball and then it started to take form of a white skeletal dragon, with a size of a pup. It started talking to him mentally as well. 'I hear you, so, what is it that you want?' Vincent couldn't help but smile at the response. "In accordance to the ancient rituals, I, Vincent Validosta, which is my real name, have summoned thee to form a contract. I have revealed my true name, what is yours?" He replied. It was sudden, the pouring of the dragon's memories. Darkness began to creep from the corner of his eyes until it completely blocked it, blocking his vision of the classroom. It was painful, yes. It was like the shadow was constricting him. He relived the one where he was stuck in the well from three days until rescue came, those were dark times. The dragon would fly up to his head and then rest on it and the pain vanished. 'My name? Well, I am Polopostrous. Odd name, I know. And that is why I permit you to call me Skelly. Your choice what to call me. And you are Vincent Validosta.' Vincent nodded as his reply. "We are one as the ancient contracts decree." "Our souls are one." "I am Polopostrous." The two couldn't help but snicker at that. "And I am Vincent Validosta." Like with Charles's, their magical energy would exit their bodies and intertwine above them. "Until the soul meets its end, we will be forever as one." With that, their contract has been sealed. A flash of light washed over them and Vincent would be alone, without the dragon or the circle.

Vincent's shoulders would slump and both his hands would hold onto the floor to keep him from collapsing. It looked like it took every bit of his strength to maintain his position. He took deep breaths and then stood up. He headed back to his seat, sitting down from it before massaging his temples. That was awesome and scary at the same time. He had a smile on his face. He made a successful summon. This was the first step to becoming a professional summoner and necromancer.
