That's pretty much on the money, yeah. This is exactly the kind of question I wanted people to ask- the line between hero and villain is often more blurred than people realize. Each person has their own moral standards, and that's one of the things I was hoping to explore here.

@EkkoRhodes

Great idea! I wish I had thought of that. Should definitely streamline things.

As far as starting goes, I'm going to begin work on the first IC post. If you're still working on a CS, don't worry, there's time yet for you.
MrD is right. It's about a week after the Nagoya Incident. You guys stuck around to answer questions/ recover in the hospital/ help with the recovery effort. And plenty of time for a falling out, of course.
and the hideous cyclops Polyphemus.

how dare you

In seriousness, though, Odysseus looks great! Consider him accepted. I'm very glad you're feeling better and happy to have you join our little RP.
@Mr_pink@NubianLegend@vietmyke@Iktomi

How are those sheets coming along, guys?
@Polyphemus Hmm, thinking about the feasibility of a giant man-eating marshmallow....

Also Poly, did you get the plans to [REDACTED]

Yes! Sorry, been one thing and another! We'll talk.
Alrighty, folks, for starters I'd like to thank all of you for conducting this disagreement in a civil and constructive fashion. I've seen too many RPs where this kind of argument would devolve into the online equivalent of a shouting match, and I'm very glad to see everyone here is above that!

@Renny
I think the tellerium weakness is a good compromise. Thank you for being flexible! In addition to that, I would say that his youth and inexperience count as weaknesses as well. You're in, with the understanding that you're not going to play God Fist as some kind of invincible Mary Sue (not that I think you will, just want to make my expectations clear). I guess the onus is on me and MrD to make challenging, creative villains.

@RumikoOhara
That's a very creative power! I can honestly say I've never seen that one before. Consider yourself accepted, unless you put something batshit insane in the rest of her backstory.

If you're still working on character sheets, don't fret! Plenty of time, just let me or MrD know when they're ready.
Does that mean we're starting soon?

I'll give some more time to people who are still working on sheets. But I don't want to put it off, either.

Remember, folks, this is going to be largely character-driven, so have goals in mind! Have ideas for what you'd like your character and team to accomplish! If you want to overthrow a government, go for it! The sky's the limit.
Oh yeah, and I guess we're full up on past and current members of the Champions from the UK.

I'm going to include a list of heroes who died at Nagoya under the roster in the OP- since it was such a major event I'd like to keep the names straight for everyone to reference.

Keep up the good work everyone!
@EkkoRhodes

Looking better. Consider yourself accepted! And if you have any questions or need any advice about how things work around here, don't hesitate to ask!

@Renny

I like the character a lot, actually. An inexperienced kid with powers he doesn't fully understand- makes me think of Star-Brand. As MrD said, though, I'd like to see either some weaknesses to balance out his raw power or dial it back a bit. On a side note, he's probably wanted in Japan for negligent homicide, so don't be surprised if people come gunning for him to take him to Japan to stand trial.

@Sterling

Your character looks good to me, so consider yourself accepted! I'm equally puzzled by the fae/ demon debate but I guess that's just semantics, I guess it's possible she doesn't really even know herself. I've seen "fae" used as a catch-all term for supernatural beings, though folklorists would probably wince at that.
@Sterling

I have nothing against the idea.
