Personality: Garlenn's gruff and boisterous, and is always ready for a good scrap. He's got a savvy mind, reflected on his oft grinning face. He'll kill (most) anyone or anything if there's good enough coin. He tends to respect certain peoples more than others and goes easy on them.

History: Born as a Dwarf commoner who grew up in poverty, stealing, exploring the deep roads for abandoned valuable, and dealing under the table with merchants. When the 5th blight showed up, he had a weird sense of loyalty to his people, and many Dwarves agreed that whatever happened in this blight, they would be hit hard. Garlenn joined the Legion of the Dead, and he and his fellows fought for every inch of ground. Garlenn was among the most feircesome of fighters in the Legion. For despite his underhanded nature, he truly valued his race and homeland. That is, until the war was over.

He fought and bled for his people, almost seeing it as a way to atone for his criminal acts. And after all of that, he realized that there never was a place for him in this society that wouldn't be in poverty. Well fuck that. The stone take them all. He'd rather the surface world instead, and so he did. He made his way to the surface, and decided to make his living as a mercenary, traveling across Ferelden and Orlais, killing bandits, beasts, and all manner of enemies. When he heard Darkspawn had returned however...they were always on the top of his list.

@MordonTbh I've only ever beaten the game with Dwarves in Origins because I am a huge Dwarf fan on almost any fantasy series. But I admit I was thinking of the initial cutscene about the history in Origins, so you're right. I'm thinking though that the Dwarves still fought a fair bit behind the scenes though, while the Warden fought above. But I can still edit it that he fought mainly as the Blight ended.

Blood Debt (Medieval/Fantasy, Rangers)

Beren nodded in earnest at Keira's suggestion of a funeral. He could almost feel the sadness appear across his youthful face as he nodded. Brand deserved a proper burial and they would give it to him. Hands in his pockets, he looked around the tavern and observed as casually as he could. Keira's words reached his ears, and he realized they thought in a similar fashion. He was glad she was here though. With all these emotions coming to the fore, he had let the fact there was real danger slide right past his radar.

No more. He clenched his fists and crossed his arms. His dark eyes seemed to kindle a simmering fire, but he held his warrior's reserve. Beren was ready as ever to fight whoever would dare threaten innocents, much less his family. He kept his lips sealed and his breathing steady, letting his siblings hash out the details. As usual, Beren already made up his mind on what would happen. Follow his family and protect them with his life. He looked to Ashira and Grey, giving a smile when his brother patted his shoulder, and then to Keira. He nodded casually towards where Loden walked, indicating time was short.

Colin 'Crackshot' Nelson

Name: Colin 'Crackshot' Nelson
Gender: M

Appearance: His dark hair and eyes contrast his fair skin, Colin is lean but trim. He has long legs and an endearing, attractive quality to his face. When not in uniform, he wears a vest over a linen shirt, with long, baggy utility pants with many pockets. He wears two red wristbands and a leather belt, with a belt buckle shaped into the Atlantic Federation insignia.

Personality: Crackshot is quick on his feet, within his head, and with his rifle. He finds something to talk about generally, and can sometimes find himself thinking so fast that his words haven't caught up and he trips over them. While this makes social situations sometimes awkward (sometimes it's in his favor, having a wit to match) it's excellent for his role as a scout. He makes decisions fast and shots even faster, retreating before anyone realizes he is there. He has a kind heart that he wears on his sleeve, but he's not above making a joke or two about someone he considers close enough to be a friend.

Bio: Colin's folks were common people living within the Atlantic Federation, right on the brink of the Principality of Gallia. His father was a baker, and his mother oversaw the business. They had three kids, Colin being the middle child. His father would often take his two sons (Colin, and his older brother David) hunting in the mountains. It was good practice, and bonding time for the three Nelson men. His sister tended to stay at the bakery and held their mother hold down the fort during these adventures.

When the war broke out, his parents lost the bakery when they fled from the encroaching warzone. Colin and David decided to enlist, David quickly becoming a field officer while Colin did the best that he could, eventually being witnessed as a quick and fine shot with his rifle during training. He eventually gained the nickname crackshot, for his tendancy to fire accurately with little aiming, though it was also a running joke, since he had very nearly accidentally hit a few allies as well with his lack of observation. He remembered his hunting forays with his family, and eventually grew calmer and more competent, and became an accomplished scout.

RP Sample:
"Now when we get back, you'll need to sweep up the place and spend time with your mother." his father told him. Colin nodded, turned the corner and fired, hitting the bull seye right along the tree almost perfectly. His brother David watched, shaking his head. "Now if that was a wolf, that would have been fine. But that could have easily been your sister." his father said. David took the rifle from Colin, aimed a split second longer, and fired. It hit the bulls eye perfectly. "Take your time..."
Colin scratched the back of his head and sighed. "You're right. I can't help it sometimes" he admitted, giving a nervous chuckle.
"You'll get it" his father said. "I have faith"
