I started ATLA late, around Covid. But I love the first series and think TLoK is pretty good despite some problems

Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

On a more serious note, this kind of reminds me of Nixon's madman strategy.

I'd say you're right if I thought Trump was treating this as a strategy rather than a cliffhanger for the new Apprentice.

Rannon gave a small laugh, smiling at her joke and watching her eyes. Below the table his right knee bounced, and he rested his chin on one of his hands as he watched her talk. There was a warmth in his chest and a restlessness to his body, yet at the same time he was comfortable. In essence, by the maker was she cute. Her smile and her exotic eyes, and the curl of her hair waving down her shoulders. Not to mention she was funny and witty.

And of course, those thoughts led to him appreciating how...attractive her form was too, but he did his best to suppress those thoughts. She was both adorable and hot, but she wouldn't ever consider the same about him. Now wasn't the time in any rate, even though he very much would rather think of her than dwell on the burnt remains of his current life.

"You played soldiers and darkspawn?" He asked, letting out a chuckle. "You know if we weren't already doing that more than enough, I wouldn't have minded playing that with you. I love sparring, honestly." It was one reason why he was in the tournament. Or, why he didn't mind being in the tournament. He was there by necessity of their situation of course. It was just, if this was a normal day in normal circumstances, he could see himself joining recreationally too.

"How many siblings do you have then? Did they join the army like you?" She asked. He gave a softer smile this time, and his eyes traveled down to the table. "No, none of them did. Edmund's an armorer's apprentice, and Wilfred I hear is going to follow my mother's business." Rannon said, thinking inwardly. "They're both younger than me. Edmund by 2 years and Wilfred by 4. I haven't been very close to them in awhile, though. Me beating up those people who messed with them was when I was a kid." He breathed in deep. "After I joined the army, I'd only seen them a few times."

He wondered if they were ok. He knew they had to be. Ironbrook wasn't without its outposts and watch, but still... Rannon pushed those thoughts away and focused on the present. His eyes lifted back up to Feri's face. He didn't know what to say next, actually. I know this will sound weird but I like listening to you talk, can you talk more? Yeah like that'll be smooth. He paused, simply looking at her contentedly. "I think I'm kind of too tired to think of anything to say, but I also don't feel like sleeping yet." He said, hoping she caught on instead of thinking he wanted her to leave. It was nice sitting here, honestly.
@MiddleEarthRoze
The Elf ranger's hair waved lazily in the breeze, a soft breath from the north flowing through the pass to bid them welcome. Calanon did think Rayadell's suggestion was better than anything he could come up with. He'd rather not permanently dispose of the man, for he wasn't a foul Orc or a poacher. Simply someone who had been given hard choices in life, and unfortunately took the ones that led him down a dangerous road.

Calanon took a sure step toward the man. "If you're gone when we return, you'll be tracked." he added in no uncertain terms, agreeing to the suggestion by Rayadell. In fact he gave a nod to her once the promise to the man had been made. Behind him, the highwayman nodded, sweat beading off his forehead. He swallowed what little moisture remained in his throat. "Y-Yeah, sure as I am, I'll stay put yer Elfships, swear on me father's grave."

As if a blanket of grim sorrow had been lifted off of Calanon, it seemed to be enough for him and he gave Rayadell and cheerful smile. "Well, that's settled," he said. Brogach nudged the Elf, and Calanon patted the Elk's snout. "Right," Calanon replied, and lively hoisted himself upon his steed's back with ease, bringing Brogach around so Calanon could extend a hand to Rayadell to help her up. "Less than a day away," the Elf said to her confidently.

The pass before them was not much farther, and through the thinning woods their keen, Elven eyes could catch glimpses of rolling tundra and rocky crags.

And poor old JonTron was too racist to keep his speaking role...R.I.P.

I agree. And that is for both Roleplays and Novels. When the character writes the post/story, not you.
I've never read the series, but I loved your Dragon Age RP way back when so I'll give this an interest.
I wouldn't say I generally self insert, but I have various types of characters.

Type 1: Characters that represent different parts of me: I love to make characters that represent me when I am angry, when I am silly, when I am happy, when I'm in a more intelligent mood, etc. So it's easy for me to delve into them and become them.

Type 2: Characters that interest me: I make these characters just because I enjoy what they are. Let's go with examples. I love Warhammer Fantasy and my two favorite races are Lizardmen or Dwarfs, so I choose one of them to be a character often enough because I simply am interested of the races. Or if I am interested in being an Anglo-Saxon because I am a history buff, etc.

Type 3: Characters that represent something I value: These are characters I make because I think they're needed to add value to the roleplay, or they'd be valuable to our world in general. Either they're fiercely uncompromising in being effective in the roleplay/role they are in, they represent something I believe is needed in our world, or they're very good simply because they're a contrast to the other characters.
