Kate

September 9th - 12:30am

Throughout the exchange, Kate had been silent. She was trying to process it and not let her temper out. It was hard, though; seeing her boyfriend distraught. He was Innocent, sweet, and kind; he always was a gentlemen and cared for others. He was one of the sweetest people. She had been drawn to his sweetness and he had eventually captivated her. Why did it have to be him? She sighed in frustration and ran a hand through her tousled pixie. At least he had Xander and her to help him and wasn't on his own. The thought struck agonizing pain throughout her. It was unbearable to imagine it.

When they mentioned drinking human blood, Kate had stiffened. It was a dark secret she kept between Xander, her, and of course, Lee's vampires. Still, though it pained her, she reminded herself she hadn't been herself. She had been starved for how long when they found her? Nonetheless, she argued with herself mentally that she should have been better. The other side, mainly Xander's faith, conflicted her by reminding her that it wasn't her fault. Her brother's faith was important to her. Thinking of him, she reached into her pocket inconspicuously and turned her location on for him to track. The memory distracted her from the conversation and when she turned, Zane was staring at her. She felt guilty for missing it.

If her heart beat, it would have stopped. The look in his eyes saddened her more than anything right now. He was so scared and traumatized. Kate pulled him to her side protectively. She carefully took a flask out of her pocket and slide it into his hand secretly. It was labeled "Pig's blood" on it. It was better than forcing him to drink human blood. She pulled him into a tight hug and turned to glare at Micah.

"You could try being sympathetic you bastard. You put him in this situation and maybe you're emotionless because you're a rich jackass, but this is new to him and he's scared as hell. Don't be a jerk to him and stop judging him. It's going to take him some time. Let him chose what blood he wants. Besides, I won't let him starve." Kate glared at him and looked at the spaghetti. As delicious as it smelled, she didn't want to eat it in front of Zane. How would he judge her? "For God sakes," she muttered to herself and pushed the bowl away from herself.

She stood up and gripped the table with white fists which were clenched from fury. "You shouldn't have taken this poor boy out of his birthday party of all days, even at all, and killed him. You need to quit acting like humans are indispensable toys for us.They're not and while we are considered predators, they still have family and friends and people who care and love them. If you had killed Zane permanently, you'd have upset various of people but I suppose you don't care about that, do you, Rich Boy?"

She banged her fist on the table with aggravation. Part of her temper flaring now was how similar the mansion looked to Lee's castle. The flashbacks whirling through her mind was enough to drive her up a wall. She was trying so hard not to lash out and attack him. Kate knew they were outnumbered and she wanted nothing more than to leave. She wanted to take Zane back to her place and cuddle him all night and watch movies with him to cheer him up.

"I thank you for saving us, but I'm not thrilled with you at all and it's taking everything not to rip your goddamn throat out. How much longer do we have to stay in your mansion? Cause I'd like to leave and I'm sure he would too. Or, - the earliest, - if we can't leave, and if not, let us have some privacy in another room without one of you hundred vampire buddies nearby."

Fiona

September 10th - 8:15 am

You can do it this year kiddo, I love you. Try to make some friends, okay? What aobut that Violet girl? She seems nice, right? Fifi - you're an amazing, strong and kind girl - I know you can do it. I'm so happy you have Micah. I love you two together. Remember, if you text, don't get caught. You usually don't, though, you're so sneaky. I love you, Fiona, have a great day! I'll see you after work. I'll bring home Olive Garden!"

The string of sentences her mother had told her that morning raced through her mind. She missed her already. Despite loving to learn, Fiona couldn't find it in her soul to be excited for the start of the year. She wasn't a fan of her classes - psychics- and more importantly, Micah wasn't here. She felt lonely without him by her side. She rubbed her temple as it a dull ache began. She knew she had to find more friends; yet her mother's reminder only intensified her tension. How could she when she didn't follow fashion, didn't care if Bonnie kissed Mike or Paul, and wasn't interested in knowing every little detail of Hanna's summer? Who cared who had done one another over the break? The popular girls lives were the gossip of the school. She couldn't understand why anyone would want that attention. And what did it matter? It wasn't as if colleges or employers were going hire someone based on their high school popularity.

Still, she tried to improve herself over the summer to be more likable. She started watching more sports beside dancing, the Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers. Her wardrobe had become slightly more chic, though Fiona refused to wear anything lacy. Furthermore, she had tried to learn more makeup tricks though it wasn't something she enjoyed wearing; eye makeup and lip gloss was it for her. Fiona bit her lip, thinking, and finally decided to possibly make an effort this year. The vampire hunter group, despite her mother's warning, was filled with nice people. Violet always seemed nice, and Holly was friendly to a point. Or, at least, it seemed that way during school. Who knew what their real personalities were anyways. The uneasiness of each situation and advice in her mind caused her stomach to tighten.

With a sigh, glanced at the parking lot. She wished she could run back to her mother's car and not enter this place. Unfortunately, her mother had already left. Fiona sadly entered the school, her bushy mane covering most of her expression. She sighed as she passed through the halls. Students ignored the cafeteria gathering and leaned against lockers, texting or talking to people. Fiona kept her head down and finally arrived in the cafeteria. As usual it was crowded and hustling with already-exhausted mods trying to stop students from texting. She sighed and looked around for an empty table. There was one and a red-haired girl sat there. People were glancing at her and whispering under their breathes. Fiona sighed, seeing the gossip spreading. She knew she didn't want to sit anywhere else. Talking to people here was impossible, but this girl was new, at least. Perhaps she could be her friend.

Fiona headed towards the table and sat down beside the girl. Thankfully the girl was texting or doing something in her phone - the girl was buried in it. Fiona wondered if she'd ever come up for oxygen. Fiona slung her Under Amour backpack on the chair beside her and glanced over at her. The girl had such blue eyes that Fiona thought they were glowing. She stared at her and then quickly said: "I know it's early so I won't bother you too much but I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Fiona, and it's nice to meet you." Then, she looked away as her shoulders tensed.

Fiona coughed into her arm and glanced around at the clock. It was almost 8:30. Classes started soon. Their schedules had been emailed to them already so nobody had to deal with it on the first day. Fiona sighed and took her schedule out of her backpack's front pocket and glimpsed at it. "Shit," she murmured under her breathe and groaned. Trig was first. Screw her life. After that, psychics, and then Honors English. She tossed it into her backpack unceremoniously and zipped it shut.

"Fiona," A mod named Carol came over to her, arms folded. God bless it, she thought and glanced up. "There aren't any hats allowed inside. Surely you must've learned that over the past eleven years."

Fiona stared at her, eyes narrowing. "Surely you must have realized that nobody actually cares about the rules, much less a hat."

"Take it off or I'm sending you to the principal's office." Her voice turned to ice. Fiona glanced around self consciously. People were again, staring. She sighed. It was to early to argue with this old bat. Truthfully, she found no reason it was offensive. The classes hadn't even started. She took it off and set it on the chair beside her backpack.

A delicate smile curved her full, light pink lips. "There we go. Problem solved, right, Carol?" Her tone had changed into sugar and she wondered if the woman would take the bait and go off or drop the subject. Classes hadn't begun and nobody else had cared.

"It's Mrs. Green to you." She quipped and then disappeared to go harass other students. Fiona waited until she was out of view and across the cafeteria to sling it back on. There were more important things these people needed to focus on instead of a hat. Besides, school ahdn't begun yet. Goodness.

"Mrs. Bitch more like it," She muttered to herself and glanced over at the girl beside her. "Sorry." She smirked despite it and pulled her backpack over to lean her face against it. Her arms wrapped around it in front of her and she ignored the noise from everyone else.
sorry, i didn't mean to double post. i don't know what happened. :o
hi everyone! :D
hi! :D
Ivana

Ivana stared at the door, frozen in shock. Was that woman honest to God clapping her hands to wake them up and switching on the light? Her eyes widened, jaw slack, and found herself afraid to move. It was so rude. What in the world? Is this how they woke up people? It caused panic to surge through her. This was so... unfair? She didn't know how else to describe it. Her mind was a blank. She turned to find her roommates moving to get up, one by one. She watched them and looked around in confusion. They all grabbed a box with their last name written on it and moved off to the showers. Ivana looked at her hands. She had them clenched all night since she hadn't been able to sleep. She didn't feel comfortable showering, not one bit. The amount of discomfort made her skin crawl. Nonetheless, she swung her legs over her bed side and stood up. She shuffled over to the shelf and grabbed her box. Though she wouldn't shower with others around, she would clean up.

Ivana found an empty area and stared at the showers. Everyone was using it... Oh lord, would they judge her? Like she cared. Ivana didn't are so why should she worry about the others' thoughts? They were all in here to get better from whatever they had. Ivana cleaned herself up, though she didn't shower. She pulled her hair into a bun lazily and exited. She set her box back onto the shelf and followed the others out. Ivana had received a routine schedule upon arrival though she still felt confused. Her joints ached and she felt incredibly cold. She wore warm clothes but it didn't help too much. Everything felt cold to her lately.

A nurse came over and took her blood pressure. Ivana watched her settle the cuff on her arm and looked away. She hated having this procedure done and being here. The feeling of the cuff squeezing her arm always bothered her, too. It also reminded her of being in the doctor's office and hospital. It was a reminder she was sick, and the reason for it. At least, her parents and friends called her sick, but Ivana wasn't sure if that was the right word for it. A cold wave of panic and grief settled over her and she found her breathing becoming irregular. The nurse, noticing the sudden change in blood pressure, began to speak soothingly and rub her arm. Ivana didn't notice: her voice sounded distant. She sank to her knees, clutching her head and breathing rapidly. It felt like hours, but the nurse managed to calm her and help her up. Ivana remained silent, their soothing voices doing nothing to console her. It didn't seem like anything would... Ellen was gone, and the guilt... Oh God.

The nurse, noticing Ivy's dilated pupils, clammy hands, and hot forehead, moved her over to the scale. This did nothing to console her but induce panic and fear. Was she heavy? Ivy felt it, sure as hell figured she looked it too. She tried to watch her number, but the machine was designed not to let her see it. Ivy buried her head in her hands. The nurse surely thought she was big, didn't she? She glanced at the nurse who remained irritably (to Ivy's distinction, anyway), impassive. While Ivana tried to look over her notes, the nurse tilted the paper way and escorted her outside. Ivana felt tension rising, especially seeing all the other patients. There were so many people here... What were these teens in for? It boggled her mind to see everyone so young and inside a psych facility.

Afterwards, they were called one by one to take their medication. Ivana stiffened. Her name was eventually called. She stumbled upfront weakly and coughed into her arm. She stared at the pill the doctor headed to her and felt dread. She took it in her hands and stared. What would this to do her? She glanced up and met the doctor's gaze. He nodded encouragingly to her and smiled kindly. Ivy narrowed her gaze and stared at the pill. She shook her head and turned away. A nurse looked at her but Ivana kept going to the cafeteria. Her heart rate increased. She stared at the food and cringed mentally; a boy had exclaimed "Jesus! They're stuffing us!" and Ivana felt pins and needles rub through her body. No way would she stuff herself. Ivana didn't want to be her in the first place. She took food and scowled at the ground as she left the lunch line. She felt horrible inside. Hot, clammy, and shaky; this place was daunting. Ivana glanced around. There was only one table, though primarily full, that had room left. Ivana shakily came over to it and sat down.

She glanced around: one boy, couple girls, and perhaps a non-gendered person. Ivana decided to label the mas a they instead of a female or male pronoun and sighed. She kept her gaze down on her food and munched on a few eggs. What would Ellen think of her here? Would she be disappointed? Ivana felt a rush of guilt and sadness and took it out on eating instead: she started to pretend she forgot about her food and looked outside instead. She felt too skittish to greet anyone or speak. They would probably, to her dismay, end up leaving before a friendship could be forged. She sighed loudly and hunched her shoulders.

Josephine

8:00 A.M Bedroom, Bathroom, Cafeteria

The sound of clapping not only surprised Josephine who startled out of bed, but also raised bouts of anger irrationally.mHer gaze switched onto Miss Fairchild. One day soon, Josie would find that woman's sleeping quarters and bang pots and pans inside of her room repeatedly. She would find something to irritate this woman. That she was sure of, and was not going to let go of that goal. Why couldn't they fire this woman and bring back the nice one? What the hell was this woman's purpose? Josie grumbled, slipping out of bed and onto the floor. She watched Evangeline head to the shower and sighed. She wished she could have her own schedule but these people insisted on controlling their everyday life. It drove her crazy. She hated sticking to it, and was often too energetic to sit around and do what they wanted her to. Her restlessness kept her awake at night and sometimes, she found it impossible to sleep. It wasn't enough to be insomnia, but her racing thoughts wouldn't turn off. It was harder with all these random people in the room with her. She didn't trust them at all. How did the staff expect her to just sleep?

After she climbed out of bed (by now, two other girls had left), Josie grabbed her box. She glanced over at the idle patient laying in bed - what was her name? Oh hell, Josie didn't care. She sighed and went to the bathroom and found her own spot. She stared in the mirror, tracing her reflection in the mirror. How'd you get here, JC? she thought to herself as she turned her attention to showering, Where did you go wrong? Of course she was aware of what had pissed off her parents: the intercourse, in the least, was the last straw. She had used protection. What was the big deal? Her idiot brother did way worse than her but wasn't ever caught because she existed to take his blame. And God, did they overreact on shit.

She rolled her eyes and showered, carefully taking her time. She didn't want to have to speak to anyone. Josephine was not in the mood to speak to these people. She of course wanted not to be looked down upon; that would not suit her. In the back of her mind, Josie remembered her old academy. It had been amazing being there until her parents pulled her out. The friends she had made - Josie felt dominant, powerful, and in control. But now, she felt none of that and felt lost. She climbed out of the shower once she finished. She continued with her hygiene routine and glanced over. There were still others around so she pulled her hair back into elaborate fishtail braids. She wanted to keep something of her old self in this wretched place. Besides, Josephine was sure nobody would care.

It wasn't until she was finished and ready that she forgot to use deodorant. Josephine groaned and doubled back. She used it and hoped nobody else had seen. Sometimes, she recalled, her parents would yell at her for not remembering basic things. It had upset her to times she had gone in her room and slept the entire day; others, she remembered, becoming defensive and fighting them in return. Josie rubbed her head and pushed away the memories, feeling a slight sting in her chest.

She returned to her room and lazily tossed her box onto its' shelf. To her, it didn't mater where it landed, as long as the damn thing was on the stupid shelf. Her body pulsed with energy and she itched to move around on her own but she followed the others out. The schedule as confusing her and annoyed her: she hated sticking to it. On top of that, the medication she hated even more. "King," Josephine stepped up for her medication and took the pill in her hands. She wrinkled her nose and rolled it around. Why did she need this? She hated taking medication, especially after her parents doped her up with a bunch of crap. Josephine huffed loudly, scrunching her shoulders and narrowing her gaze at the doctor. To her displeasure, she took the medication and glared with hostility at the staff.

She followed the other patients, folding her arms with displeasure and scowling. It was no secret she hated being here: there was nothing she liked about this place. Josephine found a spot in line and refused to budge, forcing people to move around her. If anyone dared to test her, she gave them a piercing glare. She shuffled into the cafeteria with the others and over to the line. She grabbed everything, not bothering to be generous. Josephine only put food back when a lunch lady barked at her enough times to annoy her.

Josephine rolled her eyes once more and looked around for a table. Most of the areas were littered with people. However, one table was not, and that was with Raf, Evangeline, and Nikki. Josephine wasn't quite positive what the latter was here for, and decided not to comment. She didn't care nor wanted to know. Raf and Evangeline were nice souls - and it frankly disgusted her. How could they be so friendly? It made her shudder. She huffed and sat down nearby their stupid smiling faces. Nikki, thank God, didn't look up. She started to eat without greeting anyone or glancing around. While sitting, Josie bounced her leg and soon became distracted by everyone else. This meant she paid attention - which was agonizing - to the others. Dear God, did anyone actually care?
I'll post soon - sorry, dealing with headaches on and off. ><
