It seemed like there were an endless number of stairs that led up to Haven Academy. Not that it really mattered all that much to Bren, the monotony of steps let his mind calm down a bit as the nerves he hid so well began to rear their ugly heads. He was further away from home and his parents than he'd ever been in his entire life, but this was what he wanted. He had argued with his parents repeatedly to convince them to let him go someplace other than Atlas Academy, and he wasn't about to let cold feet stop him from doing what he loved. A quick mental shake was all he really needed to push those emotions back down and focus more firmly on his surroundings. He felt a bump against his side and let himself glance down at the spectral canine that was currently walking up the stairs next to him. A collection of purple and black energy that bled of in small wisps around the form of one third of his semblance in the shape of a large wolf-like entity. This particular spirit being the first of the three that he summoned while training with his mother, and was the most relaxed of the three, always calmed his nerves even further than he could on his own. Something about it reminded him of home and that was enough to completely put his mind at ease. He gave the spirit a pat on its, mostly, incorporeal form before continuing on. Hopefully he'd be allowed to keep the spirit present, the instructors in Atlas had never really had much of an issue with it, but he didn't know what kind of rules were present at Haven.

There were plenty of people, his own age and older, heading up the stairs and he couldn't help letting his gaze wander to try and get an idea of the types of individuals he may end up on the same team with. Everyone had their weapons and the upperclassmen were clear to see as they walked with a bit more confidence than the rest of the group. He could overhear some of the conversation, something about a person named Reine which was not a name he recognized; probably some famous Mistrali hunter if he had to guess. Eh, if it's important I'll hear about it later. He was at Haven to learn after all.

The quad was much more open than the stairs and that was something Bren greatly appreciated. While he had no problem being around people it made his skin crawl to be packed in with so many at once without much personal space. Not many people caught his attention has he stepped up the final few steps, though he could see a red-headed young man who appeared to be in several places at once with how quickly he was moving as well as a silver haired individual who looked more than a little pissed off. He made a quick mental note to keep his distance on that one...last thing I need is a fight on my first day at Haven. He'd also heard mention of someone who was from a wealthy Mistrali family, he wasn't sure if it was someone his family had dealings with as they were more on the technological side of things, but he supposed there was always the possibility.

A quick sweep of his eyes allowed him to find a space by a bench somewhat away from everyone else where he could post up and continue to people watch to his heart's content. He found it was the easiest way to get an idea of who he would be dealing with, especially if someone didn't know they were being watched. He let himself sink down onto the bench, maybe the stairs had taken a little more effort than he would've liked, and snapped his fingers to command his spirit to post up underneath his legs. He had no intention of letting anything go awry, having just one of his spirits present took very little effort anymore, but it wasn't worth the risk. However, he simply decided to watch and wait to see what he could figure out about the unfamiliar space.
I’m good with discord

When Frogkit actually turned to look at Duskwing she knew she'd gotten through to the young she-cat. She could've been much more harsh, but based off of the way she reacted towards Blackpelt, force was not the way to go with Frogkit. Moosepaw had been much the same way, quiet, reserved, and responded well to explanations rather than being told what to do. She gave a nod and surprisingly gentle smile towards Frogkit as she apologized. "Thank you Frogkit, I'm sure Blackpelt appreciates that," she sent a pointed look towards their medicine cat to not make this any worse, "Now if you'll excuse me I need to prepare for Moosepaw's warrior assessment tomorrow morning." She gave a nod towards Blackpelt and took a few steps away before turning back to Frogkit, "Remember you can sleep in the warrior's den until those strangers are gone if you like. Just don't be loud."

She turned her attention to the rest of camp and could still see Moosepaw sitting nearby Highstump and padded over to join her apprentice. Sleep could wait until she was sure he would be able to sleep as well, and judging by his response to Fernstar he was nervous. She settled down next to the fluffy tom and tapped him on the flank with her tail before wrapping it tightly around her paws in an attempt to stave off some of the chill. "You feel prepared for the assessment tomorrow?" She gave him a reassuring glance, "And it's alright to say no or that you're nervous." She had a plan for what she was going to do for Moosepaw's warrior assessment. It would be somewhat more difficult to do in leaf-bare, but she knew it would only further prove to both Fernstar, and Moosepaw himself, that he was ready for the responsibility of being a fully fledged warrior of Willowclan.

Stormheart gave a nod to Sunfur, "Alright, be careful. Those branches don't look super sturdy for someone bigger than Spidernose." He definitely didn't want to hear the sound of breaking wood and come back to find one or, Starclan forbid, both of his clanmates with broken bones. With one last glance up to where Spidernose was perched up in the tree he turned and padded off in the direction that Sunfur indicated. He had little hope that he would actually be able to find anything, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to give it his all for the good of the clan. He was hungry and he imagined the rest of the clan would be as well; they needed this freshkill desperately. Especially with those strangers in camp, they had even more mouths to feed.

He kept his ears pricked and kept his steps as quiet as he could through the snow. He came to a pause next to one of the other large trees in the area and scented the air, mostly stale from what he could tell, but there was something fresher there. He pricked his ears and faintly picked up on the sound of scuffling paws against the snow. He couldn't tell exactly what it was, but at this point any freshkill was good.

Unfortunately there was no underbrush to hide in, but once again he was thankful for the color and thickness of his pelt. The white blended in much better than many of his other clanmates and allowed him to creep across the ground with careful steps to peer around the trunk of the tree. The sight of an, albeit scrawny, squirrel digging underneath a small bush was enough to set his mouth watering, but the clan needed to eat first. He sunk low to the ground, now uncaring of the faint chill of the snow on his underbelly, and took the few steps needed to close the distance and leap across the ground to pin the bushy tail of the squirrel to the ground. A swift bite to the back of the neck ended the chittering that was beginning to come from it, and he pushed down the temptation to yowl in triumph. It wasn't much but it was a start.
The world isn't going to be destroyed at the end of the final day right? Right?

Duskwing couldn't help her whiskers twitching with amusement at the complete lack of awareness that Frogkit had for what she did, and why Blackpelt was so upset about it. She knew that the kit was smart enough not to eat anything that was in the medicine den, every cat even at a young age knew better. She could tell Blackpelt was getting more and more frustrated with Frogkit and forced herself not to sigh. This was why she didn't tend to the younger cats in camp as much, or deal with conflict between clanmates. That was something left to the deputy most of the time not her, but Stonefall was busy with Fernstar and this needed to be resolved before something came of it.

"Frogkit," she waited a moment to ensure that the little she-cat was at least listening to her, "I know you're aware not to eat anything that is in the medicine den, but while Blackpelt isn't here it's rude to go in and mess with his things. What if someone got hurt or sick and he didn't know where something was in the den because it had been moved around while he was gone?" She gently tapped Frogkit on the flank with her tail, "Even if you didn't mean any harm by it you still need to apologize to him."

Hopefully some of that would get through to her. She didn't really want to have to take something as simple as a kit messing around in the medicine den to Stonefall or Fernstar to deal with. It shouldn't be necessary to do something like that. In the moment though she became more and more grateful for how easy Moosepaw was to train and deal with. The fluffy tom always had a great deal of respect for everyone in the clan even when he first arrived. With luck the situation would be resolved and she could go to sleep and be ready for Moosepaw's warrior assessment the next morning.

Stormheart followed after the older tom as he lead the way through the trees, keeping an ear out for any chirps or small paws; nodding in agreement with what Sunfur said. Normally he would've been able to make a decision like that on his own, but he had to focus on putting one paw in front of the other more than he'd like. Spidernose also made a good point, he didn't fancy digging through snow and hard earth for the possibility that there might be a mouse or vole underneath.

At Sunfur's suggestion Stormheart's eyes went wide as he glanced up into the branches. They were thin and partially covered in snow, possibly ice, but he didn't have any way of defending why they shouldn't other than the obvious tremble he could hear in Spidernose's voice. He didn't blame her for the fear. He was not a climber and the prospect of potentially falling from that height was terrifying. "Be careful," he knew it went without saying, and he kept his voice low, but it felt better just to voice it. The last thing they needed was someone with a broken leg that would prevent them from hunting at all. With the strangers in camp, as long as they weren't allowed free reign, they would be feeding three additional mouths, so they needed all hands on deck.

He glanced towards Sunfur as Spidernose slowly clawed her way up the tree for some sort of indication of what the rest of the plan was. He didn't like the idea of perching up in the canopy, but the birds could easily get away from them if they were still on the ground. He sighed slightly, looking up at the branches of the nearby trees or even a spot on the ground that might work better. They needed this prey and he wasn't about to let it get away.

Bren means fire in German, relation to the color there. Last name is reference to Cerberus—more myth less fairytale-means noble wolf

For reference the allusion used for him was Cerberus given his semblance. Let me know if anything needs changing
Post should be up this weekend
I’ll get a CS up later tonight

Edit: something came up for school so tomorrow morning for sure
