Dropped into an unknown server, what will our protagonists do!?

Yea, sorry it took a while to reply there. I was really tired from work this weekend. -.- Retail sucks when you're short of staff and you still have call-offs. On that note, just as a warning, I'm going to be moving at the end of the month but as it stands, I don't plan on letting it delay my posts more than a day.

Oh! I forgot to mention I added some basic knowledge on the group "Thor" on the first post.

Manaka smiled again. "That condescending tone's cute." Looking to Noru, "Now, why might Jormungundr resurface? Ichirou has a few ideas... But I'll tell you if you can impress me enough with this test I'll give you." She tapped on another terminal for a bit. "Here's something to think about though, you two with knowledge on hackers. What do you know about Kousuke Uehara? And the group known as Thor? I wonder how much you know of Norse mythology." With that, she finished tapping on her terminal. "Oh well, the Direct Link is ready to go. I'm confident you all can get through this. I wouldn't send you all if I weren't."

When she finished, a light appeared beneath the hackers and their Digimon. A 'Direct Link' as Manaka put it. Much like a Hyperlink on a web-page, it takes the users directly to where the Link is programmed. Can only be used on one's server to a known URL. The group quickly fell down into the portal and disappeared from sight. "I wonder how long they'll take."

The group found themselves falling through cyberspace and soon landed on their feet. It was dark with the only light being torches lining the walls. By looks, it was like a creepy dungeon from a game with brown brick walls and ceiling. The floor appeared to be of dirt, but the weird circuit design that flooded the design philosophy of EDEN made itself known here as well, reminding them they were still in EDEN if they forgot.

Currently, they were in a square room surrounded by torches. More odd though, were the weird trees in the room. About four of them and the hackers could notice that instead of fruit, the tree seemed to have things of meat on a bone growing. Almost like out of a cartoon of some sort. Anyone that had visited a Digifarm would recognize though, that this was a Digimeat Tree! While not exclusively used on Digifarms, they were mostly used there and it. They didn't come "naturally" in EDEN either.

There was also a hallway, with torches about ever five feet but always in holes in the walls on the opposite side of the wall. Far down the hall, a big chamber could be seen, though nothing was really visible inside. Not from where they were at least. One thing was for sure, they could hear some voices being rather loud. If they wanted to get out, they'd have to move forward, wouldn't they? There had to be a Server Access Point or Log-Out Platform somewhere.

Name: Shchegelsky Tsezar Ilyich

Age: 12

Personality Traits: He is calm and wise but can be zany and lazy.

Background: He was born and grew up in a decent family in a broken community, he lived in peace until he was about 5 years old, but at that point life took a turn for the worst.

He lost his home when it was destroyed after a robbery gone wrong and was shunned. All alone he had to survive in a mad world. But with his talents and fighting skills, he managed to conquer all fears and doubts and battle the elements. This has turned him into the man he is today.

With new found pride and some happiness, he now works buying a house. By doing so, he hopes to find vengeance for the actions in the past and finally find pleasureful life he has never had.

I don't even know where to start with this. I can tell according to "3 posts in 0 days" you are new around here. Let me start by saying it's rude to just post a character in the "Character" Section without approval or authorization for the most part. (There are a few roleplays that run this way, but this is not one of them.)

As for the character sheet itself, it doesn't even look like you paid any attention to the setting. Or really put much to any effort into it. The roleplay takes place in a "close future" Japan. Your character's name definitely speaks against a Japanese origin and his backstory speaks against him moving to Japan. Those Personality traits are rather lacking as well. How is he "calm and wise but zany and lazy"? I can't get a real feel on how your character would react to a situation.

His age does not fit my criteria either. I'm looking for High School aged to late college. (Though I'm more lenient on the high end of the scale)

His background, while there, feels lacking and doesn't fit my criteria of "Please at least include what prompted them to be a hacker in the first place." He's a twelve year old that lives on the streets, working at a better life. That's what I'm getting from the background? While that's a fine background, it doesn't match the setting nor does it mention EDEN even once and that is the main setting of the story. There are many more things I could nitpick, let's just start with those points.

While I'm willing to accept a second try at it, I would suggest instead that you start by looking at the Roleplays in the "Free" section of the forum. Practice your skills there and then work up to the casual section. As it is, I cannot accept that Character Sheet. It is out of format and lacking many vital parts that I required of the other members of this Roleplay.

I know this is your rp and you're the gm, but I have a few issues with the post you made that I'd like to bring up.

First and foremost, did you ask Rune if you could control her/his character? If you did and they said yes, then there's no problems here, but if you didn't, I'll have to remind you that controlling characters without permission is something nobody has the right to do, even if you're the GM.

Second of all I think you shouldn't have anyone have the ability to delete someone's account, it's just too much of an All solving hammer. I mean why bother dealing with someone's Digimon when you can just delete their account and vise versa.

And along those lines Manaka, having mega Digimon has the same issues. Why bother sending in our Digimon when Manaka can just send in two Megas that can just destroy the enemy. I think you should turn that down to Ultimate it's still intimidating, but it isn't a total story breaker.

I'm actually friends with Rune, and I asked. So, there are no problems on that front. Maybe I should have added a disclaimer. Manaka may or may not be lying about deleting the account. Fumi's no hacker and all things considered doesn't understand security very well either. Could be really easy to get into his personal details or she's an utter liar. (Plus there's a failsafe installed so you can't delete the account while it's currently active in EDEN.)

Onto the last one. I think you're just assuming she could just run around with her two megas, guns ablaze. Or that she cares enough to do so. I understand your complaints, but we just started and you have little information as well.

As I mentioned, I do plan on having your characters be in the spotlight for most of this. Manaka may seem like she can just throw around her weight, but in the setting (you'll see soon enough) that it's just not something that can happen. If you do have issues, feel free to share them. This world is not free from bugs, to be sure. I'm in no way the best GM ever, but I like to think I try to play it fun.

"Fearless aren't you all?" Manaka said with a smile. It wasn't a happy smile though. Instead, it looked sinister. "An old lady and creepy?" She held her hands up and two terminals appeared. Typically, most could handle one... But this was Manaka's area of expertise. "Ariyoshi Fumi... Easy encryption... And in." At the same time, a door opened in the back and two giant specimens stepped out and behind rex..

The second terminal disappeared and she turned her focus to the first terminal. "Meet my friends, Ophanimon and Raguelmon. I hope they're creepy enough for you Rex." She said, seeming to have finished up the First Terminal. "Let's see. Fumi... What do you think will happen if I press this button and delete your account? It's getting a bit old isn't it?" Obviously, she was making a point. With both the Digimon and threat.

"Ack! I'm sorry beautiful leader lady please don't!~" Fumi said, seeming repentant enough for Manaka to make the terminal disappear. Someone learned quickly enough at least. A good sign.

On the other hand, she did greet someone properly as they were polite enough. "Welcome Ichirou and his Digimon. I was going to reroute the money you took earlier, but since you were so polite you can keep it. Rest assured, while you don't have a "robot dragon," in the future your partners will turn out to be quite magnificent if I do say so myself."

With the necessary threats out of the way now, she continued. "Now then, you all. I'm rebuilding Jormungundr from the ground up. Would you all be interested in the rebirth of a legend? If so, I have a little test for you all."
