Dyna Soleil, Champion of Aelios & Ranni Soleil, Priestess of Aelios

Dawnhaven - The Temple of Aelios -> J A I L

The two had barely stepped off the steps leading to the temple's entrance when a small yelp escaped Ranni's lips, and she staggered as a psychic shockwave slammed into her mind and nearly overwhelmed the young Priestess. Ranni seemed to freeze in the moments after... eyes locked on a distant occurrence she couldn't have possibly seen. In a mere moment, the golden-armored figure of her sister had spun on a heel and blocked her sister's vision. Worry painted clear across her features, and strong hands gripping the Priestess' shoulders, her intense gaze met Ranni's fearful one. "Sister, what happened?" She said, a light squeeze to Ranni's shoulders to force the Priestess out of her own thoughts. A few silent moments passed, with only the light breeze whispering between them and the soft thumps of Ranni's tail anxiously slapping the ground while she formulated her thoughts.

How to best explain them to somebody who couldn't... feel like she could.

"Trouble." She whispered, finally, seeming to find her footing after the sudden shock. "I-It felt like the Princess? Just... raw force, like she lost control of some powerful magic. I-I can't tell any specifics but... I think she is angry." Ranni said softly, watching as her sister's brow knit in both frustration and concern. Yet, before she could say anything, Ranni let out another loud gasp as she felt a more familiar outburst... one who had seen her memories, the Prince, tear across Dawnhaven... before cutting off into an uncomfortable silence. The Priestess staggered again, eyes wide as her stomach dropped with worry. "D-dyna. The Prince... he flared then went... quiet. I-I don't know if he's hurt or something, b-but it didn't feel normal!" She said, words rushing from her mouth as worry crept heavily into her voice.

"Where?" Dyna demanded in response, her expression hardening as the girl's training kicked in. As the Priestess pointed into the distance, the Champion grabbed Ranni's arm by the wrist to guide the pair towards the source of the disturbance. "Lead us, Priestess." She said, tone losing any sense of the concern that had been shown earlier. Instead locking into the cool professionalism drilled instinctively into all of Aelios' Champions from a young age. As the two set off, Dyna's hardened gaze scanned the streets and surroundings, as if daring any sort of threat to step out and attempt to stop the duo from reaching their destination.

It wasn't long before scenery began to grow familiar, an a sinking feeling within Dyna's chest set in. The jail. They were heading towards the Jail. She bit her lower lip in frustration, sending a silent prayer towards Aelios that the prisoner she had taken there previously wasn't causing issues. That they'd arrived to find the Prince and Princess unharmed, that Ranni's feelings had simply been some kind of marital spat.

Even she didn't believe in the chances of that.

As the duo finally grew close to the jail, a distinct chill set into Dyna's bones. The ground around them seemed to slowly be turning white and growing covered in ice. Behind herself, Dyna felt the Priestess' hand on her back. As if the girl were trying to hide from the source of all the ice. Still, they continued onward, the figures outside the Prison slowly taking shape even as the Champion's golden boots caused the thin layer of ice beneath her to crack loudly within the still air. A small sigh of relief did escape the Champion's lips as she noticed both the Prince and Princess outside... seemingly unharmed. Coming from the jail itself, she noticed a woman who appeared to be a guard emerging as well. As the duo approached, Dyna ensured to keep her footsteps heavy. Both to ensure she her footing and announce her presence to those waiting outside.

While all seemed to be calm at the moment, save for the layer of steadily thickening ice on the ground and the tense air sitting heavy about them, something still felt... off. This causing a deep concern to sit in the young Champion's gut...

Almost as much of a concern as her sister's steady-yet-silent attempts to keep Dyna between herself and the Royal Couple.

The tension between the guard and nobleman heating up, Dyna quickly decided to swallow her pride as she stepped between the two. Fixing both with a firm, unyielding, stare. Men were... so quick to take up their blades when arguments grew heated. A situation she'd much prefer to avoid within the temple's sacred halls. For those able, or willing, to read the Champion's glare it demanded a simple order of those within her home.

STOP.

Then her attention was once more on the more irritating of the two inhabitants within her Temple. The Nobleman. "I'll show you to the baths, if you will follow me. I should, however, remind the both of you that Aelios would not smile upon strife within her temple... so please keep your thoughts to yourself for the time being." She said, before turning to lead Ayel off towards the baths. Leaving little to no room for arguments to be leveraged with her. While at the same time, sticking by close enough to ensure that the boys did, in fact, behave themselves. Fortunately for the Champion, all went about as smoothly as she could've hoped.

"Only the Priestesses shall enter, should their chores mandate it. Do not disturb their duties." Dyna's voice rang in a neutral, firm tone as she ignored his statement about dismissing her. Turning then, the Champion disappeared out the door she'd just led him through. The moment the door closed, Dyna set to work, collecting a piece of paper and scribbling down a small warning. Attaching it then to the sign outside the door to access the private baths, the Champion took a step back and allowed herself a small grin of satisfaction as she admired her work.

PEACOCK WARNING: ENTER AT RISK OF YOUR OWN SANITY.

Her sisters would understand the warning... wherever they were. She'd ranted enough about the irritating man the previous evening. Certainly, the comparison was downright impeccable, with how that damned noble strutted around flaunting his perceived self-importance. With a little shrug, Dyna turned away and her way back through the temple... ensuring to lock every door she didn't want the nobleman entering as she passed. Which, as it turned out, left the nobleman with access to the hot springs and the main chamber. Exactly as much access as he would need to pray, if his ego allowed that, and leave the Temple. A small breath of relief left her lips as the Champion turned to make her way towards the Guard from earlier. "Apologies for... that. Are you in need of spiritual assistance, or is there else that brought you here?" Dyna asked, her tone noticeably more polite than it had been when dealing with the previously tense situation.

Yet, a familiar tug on her mind quickly stole her attention. Turning on her heels a mere second before the Temple's main doors opened and a familiar presence came practically skipping the hall. A girl in Priestess' robes, but otherwise nearly identical in appearance to the champion... save for the horns and tail marking her as one of the blighted. In her hands, the girl clutched two pastries that quickly filled the main chambers with their sweet scent. One of the two already had two or three bites taken from it, while the other was nearly instantly thrust into Dyna's own hands.

Dawnhaven - The Temple of Aelios

"I know you haven't eaten, Sister, and I found a bakery selling these while dropping off the co-" She started to say, before suddenly realizing she felt two different presences throughout the temple. One, unfamiliar, and the other filled her heart with a sense of dread at the impending verbal assault. Quickly, the pastry was whipped around to be hidden behind her back as her head popped out to peak around Dyna towards the... guard? The Guard. Not one she recognized. Curiosity radiated throughout the temple, albeit it slightly muted compared to the previous day, as Ranni stepped around her sister to approach the man. As she walked, the Priestess' mind was almost entirely focused on trying to figure out how to mute her own telepathic presence. How to avoid influencing others unknowingly like she had been doing to the Princess the previous night.

"Ah, hello, I am Priestess Soleil. Did you need something from our Radiant Aelios today? It would be my pleasure to aid you in communion with her!" Ranni offered with a pleasant smile, even as her sister still seemed to be reeling from the rapid arrival and transition her sister had gone through. From caring sibling to warm priestess in the mere blink of an eye. Ranni felt her sibling reeling and looked back to offer a friendly smile and a mouthed 'Duty Calls'. Then once more she was focused on the guard before her, tail swishing behind herself in a clear indication of her curiosity about the man.

Then mere moments later, another firm knock was heard at the Temple doors... along with a call from a young-sounding man.

"I've a message to deliver to Priestess Ranni Soleil and Champion Dyna Soleil!"

Followed immediately by a sigh from the Champion as she turned to answer the door, mourning loss of a chance to try the pastry her sister had brought...

Dyna waited until she was a good distance away from the vexing man, certainly until she was both out of sight and earshot of any others before letting out a rather irritated sigh. Emotion finally allowed to flow over her features as she let the professional mask she'd constantly hid behind finally fall away. A moment of reprieve, long enough to let herself vent the frustration before it could begin to boil over, before she was once again an emotionless professional. The Champion turned then, deciding that with her report to the Prince out of the way, it was time she returned to the temple in the hopes of finding either of her sisters. Ranni had been off early, and Tia... Dyna wasn't terribly happy about the woman's disappearance the previous day.

As she grew closer to the temple, Dyna felt a sense of comfort washing over her mind. The temple was a place of comfort, under her Goddess' radiant gaze, she could allow herself to simply... be Dyna. At least, as long as there weren't visitors within the temple. Coupled with the likelihood of seeing her sisters, Dyna's soul warmed a bit. Shaking off the last of the irritation from that vexing conversation as she quickly mounted the couple of stairs and pulled the front door open to step inside. Quickly, she cast a look about the temple with a hint of hope hidden in her gaze, searching out either of her sisters... and falling a bit as she found neither. Instead, she found a guard who looked just the slightest bit confused... and the sounds of footsteps heading towards the private chambers of the attending clergy.

Perhaps one of the Priestess' is in their quarters?

As the thought crossed her mind, the Champion gave a polite nod to the guard before quickly making her way towards the hall that led to the private chambers. Just as she rounded the corner and was about to call out, she instead noticed an... unfortunately familiar figure gripping the handle to Tia's private chambers.

Instantly, Dyna felt a migraine coming on even as she sent a silent question towards her Goddess.

Radiant Aelios, why must you test me so?

With heavy footsteps so the man would know she was approaching, Dyna's voice took on a firmer tone. "I'm afraid the Priestess' Chambers are off-limits." She said, not stopping her stride until she was one step away from the man. "If you're lost, I'd be happy to point in the correct direction. However, I will have to ask that you stop trying to enter that room." She said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Hopefully, the damned peacock would step away without putting up too much an issue.
