Zander sighed as he watched his partner reach her hand into her pocket, only for a panicked expression to appear on her face as she started staring in all directions.

"Alright, I know that look." He said, reaching into his pockets and pulling out about twenty dollars, holding it out to the red-haired girl. "Hey Gabby, here. This should be enough for, what, two days of coffee? I don't know, I'd never waste money on something that tastes like that anyway, but you do you, I guess. I can't give you anymore though, unless you're fine with not eating for the rest of the week."

Still, despite his aversion to coffee, he was still gonna follow her to the cafe anyway, just to make sure no fights broke out. He could still remember the last time after all, seeing it every time he closed his eyes.

So much screaming...

"So how long are we gonna be out anyway?" He asked. "Because I'm eager to just lie on the couch and recharge for tomorrow, you know?"

Whether you mean his height or his stomach, Zander is someone you'd be hard pressed to not call... well, large. Somehow, this manages to consistently increase, despite eating relatively healthily. His skin is ever so slightly dark, and he rarely dresses in anything other than Hawaiian shirts, cargo shorts and sandals.

Personality
Zander is a fairly laid back, optimistic person. It is rare for him to not be smiling, and he tends to try and go out of his way to lighten everyone else's moods as well.

However, if there's one thing that annoys him, its when something interrupts or otherwise cuts into his relaxation time, which in his own words, is unquestionably sacred. He values sleep and rest heavily, and anyone who gives him too much sass about it will quickly learn what it's like to be on the bad side of a guy who is built like a hippo, moves like a spider monkey, and constantly tries to bury his anger.

Backstory
Zander's life, when compared to many others, has actually been fairly tame. Shortly after his birth, his parents, a skilled weapon and meister couple, died while on a mission. This led to his placement in an orphanage, where he was closely watched by employees of the DWMA just in case he turned out to be a demon weapon like his mother.

Sure enough, that turned out to be the case, and he quickly got taken in by Sid Barrett, who had been close friends with his parents. Over the years, Sid helped him learn to control his abilities, as well as teaching him how to fight somewhat effectively without needing to become a weapon.

When he finally ended up joining the academy proper, people quickly learnt that he was surprisingly capable despite his large size and blatant laziness.

Weapon Form Description
Zander looks like a simple three section spear. His blades are curved, similar to a naginata, and each section is around one metre long. It is also entirely possible to retract his chains, connecting the three sections to use him like a normal double-bladed naginata.

Miscellaneous Abilities/Skills
He is surprisingly agile considering his size and weight, leading to him being given the nickname Acrofat.

He is capable of transforming his arms into the two bladed sections of his staff form, chains included, allowing him to fight even without his meister. However, he prefers not to do this, however, as the way they hang from the chains can make it difficult to properly control, and he worries he might accidentally hurt himself or someone else.

He is a startlingly good cook.

Well, I've gone over everyone's apps, and they all look alright to move over to the character page.

However, I will just ask everyone to be aware of the power level everyone should be at, at least at the start. We aren't strong enough to destroy the city yet. We could maybe cause some mayhem to a few buildings, but nothing city wide yet. That being said, that's mostly my fault for not explaining it back at the start, so its fine. The powers will probably get to that level over time anyway, as long as you show your characters training them over time.

But yeah, apart from that little detail, I think they're all pretty good! I'm looking forward to interacting with them all!

Yeah, assholes should be fine. And yeah, being human is good too. I mean, if you want an idea of the level of power the brad can give a human, look at my character Elijah. It's not even that much lower than others. It just means they might need to be a little more creative in how they use it.

Joseph Moore

Name: Joseph Moore

Appearance:

Very distant demonic nephilim, although he has no idea.

Brand:
A large hexagon, with a series of smaller hexagons inside.

Power:
His skin turns into a dark, metallic substance which can defend against a lot of damage, but is still malleable enough to him that he can move easily. At the moment though, he can only alter his hands and forearms.

Personality:
Joseph is an extremely shy person, practically unable to make friends due to a natural awkwardness. If he's not talking to a member of his immediate family, he is barely able to keep himself from running away.

Sometimes not even barely.

He has an unfortunate tendency to move without thinking though, which gets him caught up in troublesome situations more than he would like.

Bio/History:
Joseph was born to two martial arts enthusiasts, Lucas and Sarah Moore. At almost every moment of his life, he would join his parents and learn how to fight, or exercise, or... stuff he never really wanted to.

Honestly, for most of his life, he just wanted to read. Even if he couldn't make friends with other kids, he could at least imagine what it be like. Still, he also wanted to make the few people he could talk to proud, and so did his best to become a good martial artist anyway.

Unfortunately, unlike what his parents had hoped for, he never really made friends with anyone in his martial arts classes. His personality just made it too difficult for him. However, due to a combination of the classes, the exercise he did for the classes, and just a little bit of crazy genetics, Joseph grew up to be what many people would call 'built like a brick shithouse.' Some people in his high school even wondered if he was really a teenager, due to his height and early emerging facial hair. So perhaps in the end it really wasn't a surprise when students began to get nervous around him, mistaking his shyness for plain antisocial behaviour.

Now, at the age of 18, he is alone once again. However, things are about to change, turning his life upside down, all thanks to an odd little brand he found on his right hand.

Despite not really liking it, he is very good at martial arts.

Also, he's never actually cooked properly before, but he reads cookbooks a lot.

Race: Human

Brand: Four spirals looping into each other, with the ends flowing out into a cross shape.

Power: His brand allows him to manipulate airflow around him to increase the natural speed of his movements exponentially.

Personality:
Elijah is a relatively kind man, who does his best to be virtuous and good to those around him. However, he also has a very strong belief in working for the greater good. This means that, despite how little he actually likes it, he is willing to sacrifice anything to ensure the good of the majority.

He also tends to have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with getting stronger, in the hopes that he can help more people, and he enjoys a good fight, even if his calm demeanour would suggest otherwise.

Bio/History:
Ever since he was an infant, Elijah had grown up in a church run orphanage, never knowing who his birth family was. For the first fourteen years of his life, he did his best to follow the guidance he was taught by the sisters working at the orphanage. However, when he turned fifteen, he was given an offer by the priest.

They had been watching Elijahs development, and deemed that he was the kind of person who would put his all into protecting people and furthering the interests of the church. As such, they asked if he would be interested in joining a group known simply as the Knights. If he accepted, he would be given all the necessary combat and magic training, and in return he would be required to defend the church's interests, and their followers.

Seeing this as a chance to return the kindness the church had shown him during his time at the orphanage, Elijah eagerly accepted, and spent the next four years going through the training to become a knight. By the time he was nineteen, he was a great deal stronger and more agile, and he'd become particularly skilled with polearms. He was finally a real knight.

However, it was the next right years that would prove to be the real test. As a knight, Elijah found himself in many difficult positions, having to make hundreds of unthinkable decisions. He had a duty to protect as many people as he could, but that often meant sacrificing the minority to protect the majority. Even knowing how necessary it was, it never got easier. Now however, he might have found himself in one of the hardest missions he'll ever have had to deal with, being the only knight in his area to have become a candidate.

Akihito Izami

Name: (On'yomi) Akihito Izami

Age: 17

Appearance:

Race: Demon (Oni)

Brand:
Seven rings, going up her left calf.

Power:
Izami's brand increases the already great physical strength available to her as an Oni, allowing her to punch with a force equal to being hit by a train if she so chooses. However, it does nothing for her endurance, so while being an Oni gives her a slight advantage there as well, hitting hard objects with her full strength could still cause damage to her as well.

Personality:
Izami has a fairly abrasive personality, being quite irritable a lot of the time. She regularly snaps at people, and swears basically every third word. She rarely makes friends with people unless they impress her, and even then its mostly because she sees a way she can use them.

However, if someone actually does manage to worm their way past her irritation, she will become quite protective of them. She'll tease them relentlessly, but if anyone else tries anything, she'll verbally beat them into the ground.

Maybe physically too.

Finally, she is obsessed with getting revenge against the demon kingdoms of Barbatos and Allocer, for pain caused to her in the past.

Bio/History:
Izami grew up in the region of Greed, born to the current heads of the ancient On'yomi Oni clan in the kingdom of Furkas. During the years of her childhood, Furkas was at war with the kingdoms of Barbatos and Allocer, which made life difficult. Food shortages were common even for a prestigious clan like their own, and while her parents were often able to alternate their time of active service, it was rare for them to both be able to spend time with her at the same time. However, despite all of this, her life was still quite good, all things considered.

And then one day, Izami and her father got word back from the battlefield. Her mother had been killed in battle with Allocerian forces. Distraught and enraged, Izami convinced her father to teach her how to fight. Being in a similar emotional state himself, he quickly agreed, teaching her as much as he could before rejoining the armies on the field once more. While he was fighting, Izami was taught by the On'yomi clans retainers in the arts of combat, although even their numbers were rapidly dwindling. As she grew older, it looked as if she would join her father as a warrior of Furkas.

However, it was not to be.

When she was fourteen, Barbatosian forces lay siege upon the capital of Furkas, quickly breaching the walls. As the enemy made their way into the city, two of her retainers escorted her from the city. During the escape, they were ambushed by five Barbatosian soldiers. Due to her training and the help from her retainers, they were able to fight them off and escape. However, one of them managed to get a strike in with their own sword at her face, all but destroying her left eye.

After a difficult escape, they managed to escape the city and flee into the countryside. However, before they could figure out what to do next, one of the retainers, Shimura Kotaro, succumbed to his wounds. Despite almost begging the other retainer, Eltra Alcero, to allow him a proper burial, Eltra sternly told Izami that their duty was to keep her safe, and that Kotaro understood this and wouldn't want them to waste time on him.

Tearfully, the two continued their journeys, travelling through the surrounding caverns for half a year before finally settling down in a small town in the kingdom of Amon under new identities, far from Furkas, Barbatos, and Allocer. There, Izami continued her training, never forgetting the pain the kingdoms of Allocer and Barbatos had brought her, and vowing to bring them down to their knees.

And now she would have the chance, after learning exactly what winning the King Candidate War meant.

She wields a simple, cleaver-like sword, and heavily enjoys drinking, despite being a total lightweight.
