@Kronshi A respectable, if strategically flawed, way of doing things. Anyway, will Corrupted Gems ever become a thing in the near future, or is it just going to be a rest period of training and misadventures.
@KronshiCommanders rarely ever go to the front lines, much too risky, but if that was the case then it would make much more sense. Main reason I was pushing so hard for corrupted Tiger's Eye was A) It would be an awesome way to intro the concept to the new gems if Aqua/Blood recognized the monster by it's gem, 2) It would definitely effect Mars quite a bit to see what he came from degraded to such a horrifying state, 3)I've had an idea for a corrupted version of Mars in my head for a while, and wanted to involve it in the story some how, but without having to essentially kill off my Gem character.
@Kronshi Okay, I know this is really nit-picky of me, but what sense would it make for Bloodstone, the commander of the Homeworld forces, to go and retrieve the scattered shards of a dead gem, when the experiment can be performed without taking the unnecessary risk. it just seems like an unneeded complication to the process. I din't really see any Military officer taking that level of risk for something as inconsequential as preference of methods.
@KronshiI see what you're saying, but how would he be able to find said pieces, or be able to? At the point tiger's death\dissappearance happened, the war would probably be at it's halfway point, and given his skill, he'd be a frontline fighter. Finding the shards of his gem in the middle of an active battlefield, and finding enough to make a re-creation of him seems like a stretch.
@pyroman I don't know about that one, since the gems of the monsters seem pretty okay, unlike the cluster ones, and if they were shattered, then wouldn't they have a cracked, put-together look to them. I know it not like that for cracks, which kinda pokes a hole in my rebuttal, but this theory seems a bit iffy to me.

@AkayaofthemoonI doubt they were purposefully made, given evidence to the contrary(that freeze frame of the centipeedle taking a humanoid form before changing in that one episode) but it being a virus or something is also a possibility that I think could work rather well.
@KronshiReally, I would think they'd only need data on him or something, and then make adjustments to the design based on that.
