4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

Was supposed to be productive tonight. . . will try to be productive in the morning
@RocketteThanks, glad you enjoyed it. Figured that having his prey try to escape would serve as a big enough draw to bring out his inner beast. Curious to see how the others will react to his little breakdown and very blatant display of a creep as all hell power
Finally got around to posting, and I hope it isn't too out there/hard to follow. My longer mobile post tend to be a disjointed due to the fact that if I take a second to look it over too much while writing, I lose the idea in my head.
James Lockeheart, Luan Field, Couple Dozen feet in the air[/hr]
As the Eagle attempted to escape into the skies, James felt a surge of exhiliration enter his blood, smelling the beast's fear and panic with his finely tuned senses. This awakened the beast in him as it strained to break free of its cage. As he held on for dear life in order to resist the monstrous bird's bucking, he felt his breath grow more haggard as a dark force began to enter hus mind. Visions of ancient hunts and bloody feasts under the light of a black and red moon igniting his mind with primal urges. He hungered for the hunt, for the chase, and now, for the kill. He would not let this one escape his grasp, he would end it here and now . . . and to do that he needed to give into to his inner beast. Letting loose on final breath, he opened the gates.
Like a stampeding horde, the waves of dark emotion and predatory instinct ripped throygh his body, tearing his body apart with maddening pain. Underneath hus helmet,,his eyes took on a savage glow as he suddenly charged up the beast's back, making his way up to it's head, where it once more tried to throw him, but his grip waa too tight as he brought up his free hand and sent down blow after visicious blow upon it's skull. Soon, his fist was coming away with it's blood and the beast flight pattern began to falter, the blows to the head taking there toll as it's end was in sight. But that wasn't enough for the beast . . . it wanted more than this paltry offering of blood. Working it's will through James, the beast thrust it's iron claws forward, the strength in which they struck brealing through the base of the creature's skull with a brutal crack. The Eagle gave an aguished cry that only seemed to grow as James began to break open it's skull, pulling it apart with a savage roar, distorted and haunting as it rolled across the valley.
With one last push, the back end if the eagle's cranium burst open with a bloody squelch, bit's of grey matter flowing out asmit went careening to the ground. James quickly leaped off near the last second, landing with a harsh thud before he rose, his body shaking from the rush. His black armor was now dyed red with gore, adorned with feckled bits of the avian's gray matter here and there like dull pearl, glistening in the sunlight. And as James stood there, looking at his bloody form, the only thing he could manage was an uncertain laugh, straddling the edge between disturbed fear and dark insanity, it grew with each passing second, ringing louder and louder in his ears until he couldn't stand it anymore. His hands desperately clawed at his helmet, ripping it off and throwing it too the groind, the laughter still echoing bpth in his head and out his mouth. His gore-strewn hands tore at nis face and hair, painting it with the same red stain as he fell to the ground. His eye's were glowing, literally glowing red, and a dark blackness was suddenly rising from his body. It writhed and leaped in tune with his laughter, spreading further out to wreathe him in it's unholy embrace, framing his bent figure with a blackened ayra of corruption. Not only that, but it was spreading along the ground as well, killing the grass as it made it way across tne ground like an oozing pool of shadow. And throughout all of this, there was his laughter, a sound that sounded as if it were made from equal parts pain and pleasure. It was the laughter of the mad, and it seemed as if it would consume him, until suddenly, it stopped.
The darkness faded away as his form ceased it's erratic movement, resigning itself to the ground in a small heap of armor, flesh, and insanity. His eyes were still open, his gazed locked with that of his dead prey, it's golden gaze fixated on him. He'd been struggling to return the beast to it's cage, and it had stopped fightung the moment the creature had passed. It slunk back into it's hole, the cage doors shutting behind it. And yet, it smiled with contentment, for it had gotten it's kill, and even better, it had gotten it's slice of fear. For in the struggles, the thing that drove James so close to madness were memories returned to him of his life before. That was what the beast was, what it always would be, and what it would feed on as long as he was unaware of it. His memories, now forgotten again, were the key to uncovering it . . . and are now the key to mastering his new found power lay in taming the beast . . . in harnassing his pain into power for him to call on. But that is a mission for another day, for now, James is weak, the violent birth and use of his power draining him heavily of his energy. He could barely move right now, and in this case, it was probably for the better. Otherwise . . . he was unsure what he'd do, to himself or those around him.
James kills Eagle in violent manner, goes a bit insane due to unlocking his ability, before his trance in madness ends with him falling face first onto the ground.
As people walked around, enjoying the festival in it's entirety, a walking mound of prizes would make it's way through the crowds, humming a happy tune as it did so. Those who manuevered around this mound would see the silver hair and purplish grey skin of Golem's Hand mage, Xae Kyvirn. He was dressed in a thin black jacket, violet shirt, dark blue jeans, and a pair of worn brown boots to complete the deal. The young man had obviously been very busy this morning cleaning out the prize stalls. He had always been weirdly skilled at thesd sorts of games, as the more rigged it seemed against him, the better he got within the first few rounds before he won . . . not that Xae was aware of their being a chance of the games being rigged against him though. As far as he was concerned, every game here was one of skill and chance, and if you didn't win, it was simply becausd you were lacking in one of those areas.
"Ahhh, I love this Festival so much, it's full of games, friends, and best of all, great food. My mouth is just watering at the thought of tearing into some of the Golem-pot pies. But first, I've got to put all of my sweet loot awa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!"
While Xae had been walking and talking to himself(something he tended to do when things got to quiet for his liking, no matter how weird it looked), he failed to notice that one of his prizes, a chibi toy version of himself that he had to get as soon as he saw it, had been jostled free from the top of the mound, falling down to the ground in front of him. Within seconds, Xae had stepped on in just the right way to suddenly lose his balance falling forward into the unfortunate form of Amaterasu as they turned the corner. The two would likely go doen in a flurry of limbs, stuffed animals and assorted candy, and after a small amount of flaling on Xae's part, would find themselves in a bit of a compromising position with Xae on top of Amaterasu, the two being eye-level with each other for the whole of a second. In this second, Xae felt his hand on something round, soft, and covered in fabric, amd he very much doubted it was one of his prizes, and this realization quickly caused his skin to instantly turn bone-white as he nearly hurled himself off the woman and crawled away backwards from his fellow guildmate.
"imsorryamaterasuididntmeantofalliwasjustpassingthroughanditrippedandifellandyouwerethereandiwasthereandthingshappenedmistakesweremadesothebottomlineiwanttogetacrossissimply: PLEASE DON'T BURN ME AGAIN, I'M REALLY SORRY!!!!"
As Xae prepared to bolt for the guild hall in an attempt to escape from the crazy pyro-woman who he'd just given reason to light him up for the something-th time, he spotted a familiar figure lazing his way through the crowd. Seeing possible sanctuary(or a sacrificial lamb to be offered in his stead), Xae launched off the ground to hide behind Sunny, starimg worriedly at the prone woman.
"sunnyimadeamistakeabdnowithinkamaterasusgoingtoburnmeagainsocanyoupleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasehelpme.!?!?" The God Slayer begged the sniper mage for assistance in the same rapid-fire manner of nearly incomprehensible gibberish that he'd spouted at Amaterasu, never taking his eyes off the woman and prepared to run in case she decide to burn first, ask questions later. He could still feel the heat from the last time she'd decided to exercise her desire for igniting living things on him, as it had only been a week ago. Luckily, he'd been near the lake shore and had extinguished himself before any further harm could be done, having switched to Ky and using Twilight God's Veil to escape.
Why does she seem to like burning me more than othee people? I've never done anything to her! Xae held his head low, grumbling under his breath about how this crazy fire woman saw him as nothing more than kindling.
". . ." "Have you ever wondered what life would be like if people would just stop fighting, sit down, and eat bread together. Food is the cure to all aliments, and if the need to hurt others for stupid reasons ain't an Ailment, than I don't know what is!"
Basic Info
Name::Kyvirn Xaesos Nickname/Alias:: "Ky"(pronounced Kai) "Xae" Gender:: Male Age and date of birth:: 17
Guild:: Golem's Hand, his guild mark is on his right shoulder
Rank:: A
Personal Information
Personality:: Ky is usually quite tame and silent. He hardly talks much, and communicates mostly through gestures, body language, and(if he's stayed in one place long enough) a form of sign language that is relatively simple to learn the basics of. He refers to keep to himself rather than intermingle with others most of the time, but when the occasions calls for it, he can stand to be around most people, though if some gets to be to annoying he tends to leave soon after. His views on the world, at least from what most people can understand of them, are very pessimistic, as he believes that humanity in general is doomed to drive itself head long into it's own destruction . . . but that bing said, he's also not one to stand idly by complaining about it. He'll do anything he feels he's able to do in order to save another people, and has even risked his own life to do so on more than one occasion. When asked why he does so much, he replies that how can he expect the world to get any better if he doesn't expend the effort to make it so in the first place.
His other half, Xaesos(or Xae), is much more talkative and sociable than Ky, when he makes an appearance, that is. Xae loves to stick his knows where it doesn't belong, eavesdropping on conversations or talking with servants in order to get the latest in guild and town gossip, mostly because Ky never talks to anyone, so he has to make the most of his time whenever he does gain control. Like Ky, he loves to help people, and is very open about it, but he also tends to go overboard in his attempts. One such instance is when he used high level magics to bring down a purse thief, or break a magical artifact to keep it out of the wrong hands, even if such actions were unnecessary. Another thing about Xae is that he's a but gullible and highly impulse, never being one to look before he leaps into whatever danger he's confronted with.
History:: Ky belonged to a village of forest dwellers who worship gods of the Light and Darkness, Good and Evil, etc, etc. They believe that for every positive force in the world, their must be a negative one to counter-act it, and vice versa, less the world fall out of balance and be destroyed. To symbolize this ongoing struggle, the forest dwellers had separated themselves into two groups and fought in a series of wars, switching the mantles of the Darkness and the Light every few decades as they battle and battle.
One day, however, an unthinkable event happened. A child was born between the two sides, something forbidden by the old rites, and yet, despite this blasphemy, he was born with powerful magic. Light and darkness melded around him to form a shadowy twilight, a fusion of Light and Darkness that had never before been seen by either tribe. Many took it as a omen that the constant warfare they did in service to their god may not be the way thins are meant to be . . . while others held on to their old ways of war and battle and saw the infant as the spawn of Chaos and something to be cast out . . . or killed.
Over the next 7 years, the child grew, learning much and exhibiting more strange abilities that grew stronger as time passed, but in the depth of one dark night, the child was taken, stolen by a follower of the old ways and sent faraway from his forest home through the work of a spell. And through that spell, he was scent to the footsteps of Golem's Hand, a scared child with no where to go, no one to turn to. Luckly for him, he was taken in and cared for, and when his magic was discovered, he was trained greatly in it's use as a powerful tool to help others. However, he'll never forget his family and his old tribe, and still longs for the day that he can once again be reunited with them.
Magic
Magic Name:: Twilight God Slayer Description:: A strange magic that he has possessed since birth, Ky and Xae both possess one half of the Twilight Godslayer magic, with Ky possessing the highly offensive powers of Light, shining in black radiance to show case its slightly darkened taint, and Xae holding wielding the powers of Darkness, glowing a soft white that still manages to hide him in the faintest of shadows and haunts his foes with vestiges of their own inner darkness and fears
Ky, like any other Slayer, is capable of absorbing his element to refill his magical energy and cure him of fatigue. He's also quite fast and powerful, thought this is balanced out by him having lesser defenses. He's at his most powerful during the day, when the sun is shining on him, which further increases his abilities by feeding him power directly, but is very much weakened when trapped in a place the has little to no light, as the darkness overwhelms him. Xae, like Ky, can eat his element to gain strength and stamina, and is at his strongest during the night and under the cover of darkness. While he suffers a weakness to intense lights, things like moonlight or low lights to not drain on him much, if at all. He's also a much more balanced fighter, able to fight both offensively and defensively with equal levels of skill, though this isn't as impressive as it sounds, as he hardly gets as much time to practice as he'd like, and thus is still inexperienced when it comes to combat.
Ky and Xae can switch places whenever they want, but in order to do so, they must be able to meditate for a short amount of time, like around 10-15 seconds(a post or two) in order to do so, making it very ill-advised to perform this during a fight, especially when fighting an opponent on their own. Known Spells:: Twilight God's Bellow: Basic Slayer Breath attack
Twilight God's Fist: Basic Slayer melee attack
Twilight God's Pulse: Sends out a shockwave of light/darkness in order to push enemy's away. Low damage, but has a lot of force behind, making it very difficult to resist getting blown off one's feet
Twilight God's Shining Spear: A piercing beam of light, this is an enhanced version of the Bellow Attack, focusing it's power into a long-range beam that has heighten piercing potential and can leave some pretty nasty burns. Can also be used to break through barriers, and has an added effect of wiping away illusions that may be cast on the target on a hit or near miss..
Twilight God's Veil: A spell that either cloak the user in shadows or bends light around them, hiding their presence with great efficiency. However, the moment they move to attack some one, or make any sudden movements, the effects of the spell will be broken, instantly revealing them.
Twilight God's Blinding Gaze: A blast of light coming from the user's eyes, it has a wide area of effect, blinding anyone who gets caught by it for about 2 posts.
Twilight God's Haze of Nightmares: The user breathes out a thick black fog that obscures the vision of those that the user deems an enemy. Foes caught in the fog will be subjected to visions of monstrous creatures chasing after them. Seeming to block their every move, and only attacking when the foe is attacked by an outside force.
Twilight God's Burning Retribution: Coats the user in burning light that's solid as steal, enabling them to take more damage, as well as allowing them to deal more damage with their physical attacks.
Twilight God's Shadow: Coats the user in formless darkness, increasing their speed and evasiveness, as well as giving them the ability to split into up to 5 duplicates, all being able to fight to some degree and take one or two hits before fading away.
Twilight God's Penance: A mark of either burning light or chilling shadow that slowly weakens the target's ability to use magic, making it feel as if their veins are being filled with burning lead or ice, depending on the user, whenever they try to use their magic. It'll either wear off after 6 posts, or can be removed through any form of mid-level curse removal magic.
Twilight God's Radiant/Umbral Shield: This spell creates a barrier made of either light or shadow, depending on the user, that defensive power is dependent on whether it's in an area that aligns with it's element and how much energy the user feeds into it.
Twilight God's Radiance: This spell allows the user to rejuvenate and heal his allies by basking them with their light. Can also be used on the user, but to a lesser effect.
Secret Arts: Twilight God's Secret Art: Hyperion Blaze: This attack by far the most powerful attack that Ky has, and is one he'll only use when he means to end someone's life. This spell begins with Ky activating it with the code phrase: "The light shines brightest in the darkness when it has nothing left to fear, for it is in fear that darkness gains it's strength." Ky then proceeds to begin to absorb the magical energy from light around him in a charge up process that takes about 4 posts. As time goes on, his magical energy, physical strength, and speed will continue to increase until either the spell is completed or he is defeated. If the charge up is completed, Ky is completely cloaked in radiant darkness, which glows with such brightness that it's hard to look at him directly and gives off an very large amount of heat, so much show that it's likely to blister skin if one gets too close. He then gathers all of this energy into his palm before firing it at his foe in a highly concentrated beam. It'll tear across the ground at an extremely high speed, ripping the ground apart and practically disintegrating anything that gets within 10-15 feet of it, due to the immense amount of heat contained with in the beam. The attack is than followed up by a sphere dark radiance following the line of the beam near the attack, slamming into the target and exploding in a large vertical beam of energy, with a radius of about 10 meters, and the heat from the attack can effect any where within 5 feet of the beam, causing some mild burns to those nearby.
The drawback however is that Ky will almost instantly be knocked unconscious due to the immense strain on his body, both from draining himself of so much magic and increasing his reserves way past their limits. Even if he isn't unconscious, he will definitely be unable to move and well on his way to entering the 3 day coma that his body requires to recover from this attack. This is his ultimate, all or nothing, last resort attack, so he has to be absolutely sure that he wants to use it, cause once he starts it, he can't stop.
Twilight God's Secret Art: Rivers of the Underworld: Xae focuses his energies into the ground, causing a large amount of magical energy to build up before bursting out of the ground in five flowing rivers of pure magical energy, the glowing white substances writhing with the souls of the dead. Xae much name a river of the underworld, and that will decide the next effect as the rivers of energy continue to flow on, except now the souls within it are whispering darkened whispers in a language none can understand. Upon hearing these whispers, a person will find themselves under whatever effect is associated with the name of the river selected. Xae can also choose who to spare from the effects when he cast the spells, as well as shift the flows of the rivers of energy, which while not damaging, can be used to protect himself or others as they are quite dense and malleable.
Styx: This river of hatred imparts the grudge of a thousand spirits upon those who listen to their melody, causing them to come under assault by a horde of spectral assailants for up to 5 turns. Each person is haunted by their own demons, invisible to all but them, either hideous monsters or more personal ones that resemble a person that they despise with all of their being. These specters will call out biting taunts to the afflicted, who while under the influence of Styx is also much quicker to react in anger to such things. The assailants can't do any damage to the individual physically, but their blades can cause a feeling of numbness if they make contact with the target.
Lethe: The river of forgetfulness will, in essence, drain away ones knowledge on how to use magic. Over the course of 5 posts, they'll find their control over their magic and ability to cast become progressively weaker and weaker until the effect ends, but even then, it'll take about as long for their powers to return to their previous levels
Acheron: The river of pain and agony, those who hear their maddened cacophony will become struck by an unspeakable level of pain that will leave them paralyzed for 1 post, and have them move at a much lessened pace after that for about 4 posts, as the pain they feel makes it hard to move and also makes it difficult to focus on their magic, making them incapable of using their more powerful or complex attacks.
Phlegethon: This river functions a bit differently than the others, as the voices of the dead began to spread ethereal white flames randomly around the place, leaving allies on harmed, but causing a lot of damage to foes. . . or so it would seem. In actuality, it´s all a very powerful illusion that is laced into the melody, and thus makes it harder to dismiss due to the fact that the magic is so diluted and constantly being applied. The illusionary flames appear and last for about 6 posts before they finally wink out of existence.
Cocytus: The river of lamentation shall lock those who hear them into a world of despair, the cacophony of harrowed wailing and cries, regrets of the past will rise up to torture the victims, playing on their self-hatred and dark secrets to make them lose the will to fight, the will to live. However, if this reminder of past transgressions enrages the opponent instead of breaking their spirit, they´re anger will be turned onto either their former allies or just nothingness as they fight with the air. This lasts for about 4 rounds
This attack is fairly draining, but not as much as the other one due to it using much less energy. However, while the effects are in place, he´s unable to use his magic as freely as one might normally, as the magic is still feeding on his magic, and if he uses it up early, the effects could end prematurely.
Other
Relatives:: N/A
Posseions:: Dusk and Dawn: The only thing he has to remember his clan by, as his kidnapper, in a last second moment of pity, decided that even deserved to have something to remind him of his home. Ky and Xae are fairly proficient with them, and they have been special enchanted to allow the two to channel their magic into the blade, giving it an added versatility. Not only can the edges be imbued with magical power, but the reach can be extended as well. The blades themselves can even be manipulated from a distance, allowing for the two to do a lot of impressive things with them
Theme Song::
Kyuuten Ralis Ky: ". . . He's okay . . . for a Harpy."
@Vongola_HasayoUnderstandable. Probably for the best, anyway, cause I'd probably bring Revan back and start neglecting Ky and Xae as a result. So, we got an ETA for this to start yet, or are we still waiting for Goelm's Hand to get a few more members?
