Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

I can't really do that.
In medias res is annoying in a roleplay. At least stick the 'why' in the first post. If there's any sort of coherent explanation, it doesn't really count as that. <.<
Seems like a good idea to me. Much simpler than trying to work out which posts are still relevant and where everyone is.
Apologies. I've been busy with college preparations the last couple of days, and after considering a couple of things, I believe I will have to withdraw. Generally, I find that outright kicking a player should be nothing less than a last resort, and it doesn't feel like that here. I mean, if I kicked every player that showed interest in the world I had created by asking a couple of questions or who had assisted me with GMing when I was having a rough time, I'd be right out of good players.

I do have a problem with that, and it makes me wonder if I'll end up getting kicked for asking the wrong question or doing the wrong thing. Things like this lead to an uncomfortable atmosphere, at least for me, which is the reason for my withdrawal.

Once again, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors despite the circumstances. Have a pleasant evening.

Unilaterally taking over after questioning every GM decision because someone wasn't around for a day is not 'helping'. All that stuff actually slowed it down. Without half the stuff that happened OOC and IC we'd have been at the castle within one or two days.

Not to say that helping is wrong, but that was not an example. :/
And hopefully I'm not going to not be home one day when I'm needed to exposit. Or at least have advance warning.

On that last point, it's an order of Necromancer-Witches called the "arcane wolves", and for some reason one of their members, the ten-year-old Yorik, was valuable enough to be worth keeping around for two years until a zombification ritual could be prepared.

Well, that just makes it worse. So it's an order that presumably goes against every law the most relevant religions or the whole kingdom have, that resurrected a child necromancer who's still named for a Shakespeare character.
@Scarifar
To him it's a matter of"because why the fuck not?"

So... obvious flaws... you haven't even given him the full ability section, for one.

Secondly, he's an undead necromancer. ~1/2 of the party are in religions where raising undead is extremely frowned upon.

Finally, magic wolves resurrected a guy who shares a name with a deceased Shakespeare character as an undead? Er.
Have the post you could've had earlier if people hadn't left for no apparent reason. I'm assuming SOMEONE suggests the explanation. >_>
It was rather frustrating to the small harpy that, with everything that was going on, nobody even paused to stay around or listen--not even the person whose arm had just been healed. In Sophia's knowledge, it was generally not a good idea to walk out without knowing if you were in top form. The only warning would be to not stress her arm until tomorrow in case it broke all over again but it was definitely worth knowing if you were that rough.

At least being on the go made explanations considerably easier to hear... though it seemed doubtful that people were listening properly after leaving before they got the chance to hear.

"As you probably know, Mad-King Haldric was once King Grigori Fel Haldric II, ruler of Telrun. The longer his reign went on, the more paranoid he grew, and the castle's original construction reflects this. Even trusted servants fell under suspicion, and the traps and danger either drove everyone off or killed them.

"The last we know is that the king, still wealthy, sought to become undead or otherwise achieve immortality and his kingdom, with no line of succession was absorbed into Velt about nine hundred years ago.

"Though the castle has decayed since then, many attempts have been made to enter, but the most successful were investigating what had happened to cause his kingdom's collapse. Those that survived managed to record important information, as have more recent adventurers.

"The front entrance isn't worth considering for most, due to a trapped lock and a pit trap. The mindless undead that have survived are likely to be unusually tough for something with no intelligence, since their ranks are from the castle's original inhabitants. Even with bare instincts, soldiers with nine hundred years' experience are dangerous.

"Unfortunately, due to numerous recent attempts indicating the state of decay, the original plans are only useful as a guideline. Former pathways are blocked off, and even with many of the traps broken, some continue to be a hazard despite no longer working as intended.

"Finally, nobody has reached the bottom two layers since the castle was inhabited by the living. When we reach the bottom levels, everyone should be as careful as possible."

That was it for the harpy's knowledge, at least that which could be applied without some sort of idea where in the castle they could possibly be.
