Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Today I've learned that I can completely miss peoples' existence. Even after counting through a thread carefully several times. D:
Eh, I think a couple more people than you originally intended won't do much harm, really.

Although I count seven. ^^;

Don't think they were counting themselves. :P
Nono is sad that only the katana lady wants to fight her, and everyone else would rather fight Saber :p

Kerri is annoyed that anyone else wants to fight Saber. :P
... so, absurdist British humour appears to be the dominant interest amongst those to have posted so far? XD

Favorite Book/Movie: Discworld for books, and then either Big Hero 6 or Lord of the Rings for movie. Well, the Discworld Hogfather might count (not the Going Postal movie, and I did like the Colour of Magic one)
I believe the idea is that, as a dungeon crawl, if you want details on something, the character investigates (preferably with a 10' pole) and the GM then fills them in, since things are already prepared. Traps would suck if they required players to add them in, since they lose the surprise factor.

... wait, are we investigating a dungeon without a 10' pole? D:
Turning the thread into a debate on 'correct' roleplaying etiquette right after moving thread so that it wasn't full of OOC arguments over things seems like a bad idea. So how about we don't?

Holy shit, that's terrible if it's true. I'm sure Vita had good intentions and is only looking to have a good time like the rest of us, but it this kinda thing is a legit trend, that's pretty uncool.

It's getting cause and effect the wrong way round on thread creation. And that's all I'm going to say on any of this.
The Twice-Betrayer

Like essentially everyone else leaving the Foecrusher, Kerri opted for the direct method of getting to the ground: step out and let gravity do the rest. She was not, however, the most acrobatic of combatants: her landing was rather more forceful than the rest thus far. Yet the blackguard was as unharmed as anybody else to have taken the direct route.

It was almost disappointing that the exterior of the castle was defended by exactly two people. The one on the roof she obviously couldn't deal with, but the girl in front of the door... she was so inherently good that it made the fallen paladin want to wretch. Here, then, was her opponent. Someone to keep occupied whilst that grunt with the explosives dealt with the door, or some other means of breaking in was found. If they died or ran too quickly, then she could rejoin the assault.

Darkness flickered around the ever-shifting blade as Kerri started forwards, picking up speed as she moved closer and the oppressive aura around her brought itself to bear against Saber. Saber and any enemies that might be lurking nearby.

Misaka Mikoto

Much in the way of intelligent conversation from the Railgun was absent: aside from yet another child, there was a fairy. Not a robot, or at least one running on electronics, otherwise the schoolgirl would have been able to detect it, but the sheer unlikelihood of a fairy actually existing wasn't a big concern either. It was just so small and cute, and Mikoto was staring intently at Tear (who, it had to be said, did not have what you'd call a cute expression).
  • Name: Ruins of Hauhazberg, the Mines of the Mountain Witch.
  • Brief History: A recent 'dungeon', nobody's quite sure what's happened... only that a remote mining town was, several years ago, razed in a single night, with the survivors only mentioning that the conflagration came from apparently nowhere. More recently, undead have been noticed, but the place is so out of the way that few have investigated
  • Layout Summary: The burnt-out shell of a town, with a path leading up to the mines that used to provide its wealth. The mines themselves are old and quite expansive, but the tunnels were built along neat, geometric lines, keeping to them when finished following a seam.
  • Threats: The ruins themselves are crawling with undead, though many are burnt and altogether nonthreatening. The mines themselves are quite heavily protected by magic, with several barriers and wards around, and a few magical traps. There's fewer undead here, but they're generally much more intact than down in the town, and properly armed for conflict. Then there's the person behind all this...

  • Name: Sophia Lemongrass
  • Age: 19
  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Harpy
  • Class: Nun
  • Appearance: Sophia's most obvious trait is that... well, she's got feathery wings, white flecked with grey rather than the normal darker tone. She is also small, even for a harpy, and it wouldn't be unfair to tell her to cut down on the sweets a bit. Her hair matches her feathers, and is far too long for someone with no hands to take care of it by themselves. As for what she wears: it was presumably patterned after a normal, red-and-gold (what other colours would you expect from a sun goddess?) habit, but it's been shortened a bit--and naturally, given its relatively simple construction aside from the trim, it has enormous arm holes.
    Predictably, Sophia's eyes are blue.
  • Personality: Having spent most of her time hanging around with books or doing religious things, Sophia is rather shy and not too good at socialising with people. She's got strong morals, however, and won't refuse to help someone in need. She's also an enormous glutton, and even manages to overcome her own race's tendency to not gain weight through the sheer amount she'll eat if able. Pretty good nun otherwise, though.
  • Brief Backstory: With her great-grandmother having been the last person in her family to live outside a city, Sophia's rather more civil than many harpies, and wouldn't ever have the first clue how to go about living in the mountains, though with all her recent male ancestors being Nem, she'd have a bit more luck at surviving in a desert. Oddly enough, despite their race, her mother and grandmother both worship Reon, and Sophia chose to join the church when she was younger.
Given that dungeons are dangerous places, and she's a pretty skilled healer, she was sent out with someone she remembers from her schooldays on their current mission.
  • Equipment: In case her magic fails, Sophia has a normal first aid kit... not that she can use it at all, but it's still useful to have it around.
  • Abilities: Not just a nun, Sophia is something of a scholar, as well as being trained in various positive magics--particularly the art of healing, but also magical barriers that can act as an extra layer of armour, or temporarily letting someone push their body past its normal limits (though she insists that they let her fix things after the fight). She's pretty knowledgeable about theology and history.
What she lacks is good survival skills, due to never having lived outside of civilisation. She also has a stubborn inability to acknowledge that she's actually pretty badly shortsighted. Which is an even bigger problem than normal when you can fly, since everything you can navigate by is kind of hard to see...
