Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Drinking Vampire

"The gap's short, but it was always going to happen sooner and sooner. The ritual's been gathering speed down the years even when I tried to slow it down," Elizabeth answered, watching the other girl effortlessly carry in the heavy box. As soon as this discussion was over, she was going to ask what the hell was going on there; she definitely wasn't a vampire or any other common kind of supernatural and she wasn't here before. Shiroi's presence was plain confusing.

Then, having apparently taken five minutes to realise, Kanon's memory managed to pick up on the familiarity of the vampire's appearance. Somewhat surprised, Elizabeth carried on as if it wasn't surprising to be remembered, "Yup, I was here last time, too. One of the perks of vampirism is being able to watch this mess since it's conception."

The brunette paused to drink from her dish, "Anyway, I came here before checking on some of the other magical families in the area, since your father was with me, last time, in trying to stop the ritual from completing or going to someone who'd abuse the power. I planned to just let him know, but instead, how about you join me? The ritual might be dangerous but I've survived it this long and I should be able to make sure you get out of this fine."
@VitaVitaAR, Osamu will have to interfere now that a 'Mundane' (Hiroko) is involved.

You're inside. Eating. Osamu has no reason to even know it's going on, let alone get involved with the fight. Let alone know that Hiroko's not a mage.
And I've... not been having the most productive time. Hence my delay on the other elves.
Thing is, they're not really a major force in Toriko, either. It was this or just random wildlife, because otherwise there's too few enemies. 'Horde of oversized locusts' really sums it up... XD
With all the mentions stuff... I'm concerned that if a character isn't mentioned in some way, the post's been ignored.

That, and Symphogear is as subtle as a brick... magical girls with musical backing singing and apparently immune to being out of breath. It just doesn't seem like something that can be... entirely ignored? Like a character spontaneously turning into a mobile fireball is just too flashy to NOT remark. XD
@GameGuruGG @LuciansMentor Did... either of you actually read my post at all? Someone literally right next to you singing and then attacking the obvious enemy... does not seem so completely ignorable. @_@
Magical girls. Magical girls everywhere.

Fortunately, Hibiki is the loudest. XD
Oh, right, my signup image isn't perfectly accurate...

Here we go:

(As it turns out, the image is accurate, I thought it was a pre-G picture.
Hibiki

Hibiki attacked her bento with a ferocity that would seem almost inhuman if not for one of the people that happened to be in the tree right above her head, even with other people showing up and Damian literally dropping in. Nothing had been addressed to her and as such filling her stomach took precedence over getting involved in the conversations, especially as this was a surprisingly delicious lunch for something grown from the tree--particularly the rice, though that was probably just her biases.

The first inkling that this wasn't just a dream came when the insectoid shapes came into view. Not because dreaming of large amounts of monsters was unlikely for the schoolgirl, but rather because they were the wrong type; if any hordes were going to turn her dreams into something more nightmarish, it would be the Noise.

Listening to Ranma, along with the Chinese girl, gave Hibiki some idea of what was going on--if not a good one, and still not fully convinced that this wasn't a dream. But Hibiki was still Hibiki and with civilians in danger, along with monsters to hold off, she knew exactly what she had to do.

The short phrase the girl sung was nothing but gibberish, except for the name 'Gungnir', yet it was enough to initiate a bright transformation that replaced her uniform with something far more athletic, and with rather bulky add-ons to her limbs. And, for some reason, headphones. Unfortunately, for anyone in the area that might have a dislike of j-pop, she was still singing, music and all.

That was when the magical girl took off towards the encroaching insects, taking only a few steps before leaping the rest of the way. Whilst in flight, the springs on one arm drew back as she prepared her own punch. Hibiki's 'landing' only came after slamming her fist into one of the insects, followed by the piston releasing to amplify the impact immensely. Unfortunately, whilst the punch was more than capable of taking out one enemy, it couldn't do anything to stop the rest from surging onwards, even as she spun around to roundhouse the nearest.
And now to work out how to best word the sudden unavoidable j-pop...
