Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

"Is my help required for this, or should I prepare for possible violence?" the apprentice asked, thinking back to the maid's statement about being... well, hit in the face. If they actually went out to recover the vase in person and one of the thieves was injured, it seemed quite likely that things would get out of hand.
@Raineh Daze
He harms his enemies by healing himself with their lifeforce. Could rp it as the enemy withering slightly, while he became more lively, while his wounds close.

I mean, let's be honest, that doesn't work from a story perspective given... everything ever written about Middle Earth. But from a roleplay perspective it's only one step above trying to introduce RPG mechanics like "quarter your HP" that cause nothing but weird arguments and dissociated effects.

For instance, someone once had an ability that was supposed to quarter your HP. It opened a black hole in you. <_>
Draining health doesn't really make sense out of gameplay mechanics?
@Raineh Daze You are constantly making snarky comments towards wraith about her character and claiming she's god modding when Gilgamesh is completely a god mod character

I think we're encountering a difference in vocabulary, here. God modding, so far as I've ever known, is taking control of someone else's character in some way--so, attacking and saying "your character is now choked". It's roleplaying without letting the other player intervene in their own character's fate.

Which has nothing to do with what I've done or am doing. I'm mostly trying to establish Wraith's view on someone approaching Magnus as trivially as Magnus seems to be treating someone else, since Gilgamesh is a terrible match-up for magic users.
@Raineh Daze just so you know your glass house is pretty fragile and I'd suggest stop throwing stones from it.

You do realise that proverb's about hypocrisy and none of my characters have even tried to hit anyone, right? xD
@VitaVitaAR ... Alright fine. It doesn't even matter, but if it's such a big deal to you, then fine. But I am putting zero effort into this inconvenient edit.

And there'll be less of this in future if you don't assume that every phrasing and every comment means permission to land a hit. Seriously, you seem to get from someone acknowledging something to "that means it hit" too quickly.

Plus, since you asked: every single weapon Gil has is at least as dangerous as Roukanken. His default projectiles are things like Gae Bolg, Dainsleif, and the Kusanagi. ;P
Reinhardt Wilhelm

Soon enough, the one that Set had been fearing wandered in. If it hadn't been for the armour, one would have seen the sheer level of excitement that this induced in the old man: of all the things that could brazenly show up in this crazy world, nothing less than a living, breathing (to an extent) film villain? Reinhardt could still remember being introduced to the classics in his childhood, the bombastic theme that went with them...

He promptly stopped humming.

That's right, this was a villain. Not an irredeemable one but someone to take seriously, even if it was the stuff of childhood fantasy to imagine fighting. He couldn't let his guard slip for even an instant--first, deal with Vader, then make sure to not turn his back on Set!

"Vader! Your days of villainy are at an end! Reinhardt Wilhelm shall face you in glorious combat and bring you to your senses!"
<Snipped quote by Raineh Daze>

Much like with Leman Russ, who was also impervious to magic, Gilgamesh would probably kill Magnus. Magic is Magnus' thing, and even casting enhancement magic on himself to improve his speed and strength, he'd still be too unskilled to hold out in physical combat against a melee expert. The only catch is that Gil would have to have a weapon that could do significant damage. Mag's daemon form is much more durable than his mortal form ever was.

I take it you didn't look at the bio.
@Wraithblade6 So... it's perfectly fair that Magnus is screwed if he runs into Gil, right? Since even limited, Gilgamesh is a terrible matchup for any sort of magic user. :T
Also, I feel like I need to veer into the construction of swords for a second: you're heating the blade. There's never any metal in contact with the hand, because metal has bad grip and would rust if you're holding it under sweaty layers all the time:
