Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Shirai Kuroko

Things here were simply beginning to get out of hand. It was good that Onee-sama had held back from assaulting complete strangers, yet that was only because other people were getting involved... though Kuroko could agree that the girl shouldn't be taking Takoyaki like that. Yet a robot was picking her up? Robots simply weren't advanced enough to operate autonomously like that! Now there was a new woman here, going on about Champions for some reason and with antiquated weapons...

The horns, at least, could be pinned as some sort of genetic abnormality. Possible but extremely unlikely, though even someone as rational as Kuroko fancied herself was being pushed to maintain any sort of logical explanation for the absurdity here. A task that only got harder with the unmistakeable sound of armoured feet.

How could someone be that big?

Reinhardt Wilhelm and Ana Amari

Kino wasn't the only one laughing at the motorcycle's odd comment, the boisterous German joining in as well as he scooped up his helmet. With no leads to follow--and one small girl alone in a strange world--he trudged along behind her, musing as he went. "Don't you find it strange that something seems to be translating for us?"

After all, it was clear that there was a translation going on. He was hearing German from the child--but as normal, speaking English to communicate with Ana. No doubt the sniper was hearing it in Arabic and the child in whatever their native tongue happened to be.

"This is something I haven't seen before, the sniper agreed, eye scanning over the crowd they were approaching. It seemed like a normal group for the most part, with a token omnic represented. But the one Japanese-seeming lady with the horns wasn't a normal thing... unethical experimentation or something natural but exceedingly rare?

"Champions? I love the sound of that!"

If there was one thing Ana could trust to never change about Reinhardt, even more than his principles, it was that standing next to him for a long period of time was a fast route to a headache.

You asked for my opinion, the duellist thought, frowning in Gillian's direction. If you asked someone for an opinion on how military manoeuvres were going to play out, then you shouldn't complain if it wasn't as optimistic as expected. Someone had to present a cynical attitude rather than carelessly throwing away lives or not arranging logistics for an extended operation.

Which lead her to be rather critical of this Ludwig's statement about villagers; surely the villagers proper should be kept here, where they were protected, whilst arranging soldiers with some armour as a decoy. It would bolster their efforts twofold: firstly, there would be no civilians to protect; secondly, the additional bodies on their side when the fighting started would hardly be amiss.

It was a shame that to take over from the captain would be such a breach of protocol. But she'd taught Fanilly a lot, the girl should spot it.

All the talk about new armour and the implications thereof passed completely over the unarmoured knight's head, due to her lack of familiarity with Gillian other than knowing of his general existence somewhere in the roster. Yet the question--of how long it would take--was an easy one to answer: "Should the plan work as expected, as unlikely as that would be, or some other way to smoke out our quarry arises, then I expect we could be done within a day. Yet if we find ourselves hunting them down like rats... then there can be no guarantee of our time. Years were spent hunting down the remnants of the rebellion and they crawled out of it one way or the other."

Not wanting to be left entirely out of negotiations--or, privately, wanting to make sure that Fanilly's lessons had stuck outside of their original context--Lilianna spurred her horse forwards, drawing herself to the captain's side.
We could apply "Misapplied Phlebotinum"... Both have displayed qualities of not taking the more logical and easier (for them) approach to situations they've been in...

If we apply that logic, I would be playing this.

Seeing what was about to happen, Kuroko intervened in the only way actually available right now--as she could hardly claim that this should be left to Judgement after having ended up in another city entirely. That was by appealing to the idea that whoever was in charge here might not give her as much of a pass on the wanton shocking of petty thieves as Academy City was wont to do.

Of course, she stumbled over her words a little when another teleporter dropped in. With only a tiny fraction of all Espers being teleporters at all, and an even smaller fraction being Level 4's, the chance of running into another was... extremely unlikely. On the upside, at least this was clearly not Musujime; her Onee-sama would probably react first and think later with her...

Reinhardt Wilhelm and Ana Amari

"... friendly monster?" the huge man said, hesitant to believe that something so abundantly... well, dead looking was actually in the same boat as they were, brought here and bereft of any sort of malevolent intentions. Yet it seemed like the creature was as lost and abducted as the rest of them were.

Ana took the lead in actually explaining things: "All of us have been brought here but we don't know why. Your appearance gave us quite the shock, and you look a lot like a wanted terrorist." Not to mention the quite obvious dead part, yet that had been quite the second thing to go through the old sniper's head
That's just fine. Playing weak-ish characters bother a lot of people. We had a decent amount of interest the last time we did it but it eventually died 'cause I suddenly had to go in for surgery.

As was said, it's not a "you've got to play weak characters" issue. It's more the restrictions imposed by the setting. The characters have to be detached from the great villages pretty much by default, which writes off borrowing almost all the entertaining abilities. And then you have it slapped square between two of the wars, which leads to two conclusions:
1) We're following canon, so even more abilities are restricted in their availability.
2) Nothing the characters do is going to matter because canon is charted already.
I will be posting tomorrow, things got in the way today. <_>
Checked it out, didn't appeal to me. Sorry. :T
Double posting for the hell of it.

If the GM doesn't return soon, I might just take over this RP. I need this in my life right now.

How many people are still lurking?

I'll fight you for it. xD

Though really, I don't think taking over's the best idea.
