Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Lilianna Belwiss

She didn't like this. She didn't like this at all. The terrain was unfavourable and they were hamstrung by escorting a group of civilians at the behest of some lord or other that, in all honesty, should have raised their own troops to do such a thing. Treating the knights as a glorified delivery service was plainly arrogant and there was no other way to put it.

Lilianna's attempts to hide her status were, to put it simply, non-existent. There was no mark, no identification that would signal that she was a knight or one of the knights--and who would be surprised by some minor noble accompanying the peasantry? Of course she had a sword; to do so was both fashionable and incredibly stupid to not do.
The Ripper

It didn't matter that she'd been doing this for months now, there was still something so enthralling about watching other girls throw immense amounts of power around... even though she could scarcely conceive a more inefficient way to bring down the Negari than throwing everything you had at it until it complied with your desires to stop moving. Not that she'd been watching the girls over finding the weak point or anything!

The white-haired girl slipped from her roof, eyeing up the beast. Its carapace was definitely too thick for her to cut down in a single blow, so she'd just let the others supply the force once she'd marked the point out. The only trouble was getting to it. Noriko could clearly see the fault line, it ran straight down the thing's chest, like the keystone in an arch, but to land the blow she'd have to get in and get out without anything hitting her.

Then she put on speed.

First, bait out an attack. Deliberately move slower than you can, wait for the swing...

Second, move as fast as you can, faster than any other girl present and jump over its blow...

Third, materialise a knife, slashing at the hard shell and leaving an oozing line down the centre...

Finally, kick off the negari's bulk before anything hits you. That the beast cracked its own torso further trying to swat at the irritant getting too close to it was just icing on the cake.

"It's weakest along that line!"
@TheHangedMan Brute force works really well when you can basically overwhelm everyone else in a way their abilities aren't able to keep up. But being stronger's fine. :P

@Crimmy "On average" is a pretty low number, given how many people just got them or haven't even got them. But just under a year sounds good? I mean the RP's in May, so if you go under a year she could've picked them up and gotten used to the things in the summer break. xD
@TheHangedMan Er... not without some edits. To put it bluntly, she's far too strong. Being stronger than everyone, tougher than everyone, faster than almost everyone, more skilled than almost everyone, and then having a super-strong attack on top of that... well, something has to give, you can't just have a character that's better than the rest of the cast in pretty much every way. It doesn't go well with a personality of 'self-absorbed asshole' and looks a lot like playing to win rather than RPing.

Also, she's been a magical girl too long, everyone's supposed to be relatively new and not too established. It's mostly a problem because it's been stacked on everything else and just makes things even more overkill. ^^;

... and why have you capitalised the first word of every paragraph? @_@
A Khajiit? Acknowledging the existence of first person pronouns? D:
Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus

As soon as the word "Princess" left her lips, Ascelia was confronted by a face-full of frowning blonde, a stare with an alarming amount of intensity behind it despite the Emperor's less-than-intimidating appearance. "Praetor, whilst it is true that I was the most esteemed holder of the position 'Princeps Senatus' and 'Princeps', the dignity of such titles has long been diminished. I am a grown woman and ruler in all regards. This slight shall be permitted once and once only, refrain from making such a faux pas in future."

With that, the Servant backed away somewhat and addressed the original question: "Should you wish to use one of my titles, Augustus would be the most prestigious. Emperor shall suffice in this language until you have proven yourself worthy of more familiarity."

True to form, of all the many titles that the blonde could have picked, Augustus was by far the most self-aggrandising, directly calling attention to her supposed majesty, rather than those that would imply civil or military power. She was, of course, an amazing person--why not use the most suitable of all the titles in her mind?

Had Ascelia noted Nero's movements over the past few days in detail, the need for an escort would not be surprising in the slightest--barely had the Servant gone off to explore their base of operations, favouring sticking close to her Master except for venturing to collect the manuscripts.

Once their destination was announced, missing the grin on the blonde's face was impossible. To be going to Greece... ah, all the heroes that she had missed in life would be present or somewhere to be found! It was a shame that it was the Trojan War rather than any of the stages in the voyage of the Argo but this presented the opportunity to meet Aeneas. Unusual as it would be, the prospect of meeting one of her ancestors was quite exciting.

Abe Ai

"But you're too cute for me to like any of those titles," Ai teased, somewhat envious of the Servant ability to simply manifest clothing as they desired. If it extended to changing outfits... ah, so much money could be saved whilst keeping up with fashion! Not that shopping was at all an unpleasant thing to do but the costs associated with buying no clothes? That would be something amazing to dispose of entirely.

The trip down to the briefing chamber was mostly silent, as the magus was focusing on not taking a wrong turn and ending up in the kitchen or something instead, and she didn't dare interrupt someone like the Wizard Marshall as he explained their destination. And... some alchemist was going to be coming with them? She had better not be a liability... though if Zelretch was recommending the Mystic Codes, at least they could be satisfied the things would work.

Meran Briefort Marzikek

The white-haired alchemist was prepared as the other magi came in to use the portal, interposed herself in their path, choosing to introduce herself fully before handing out the phones: "I am Meran Briefort Marzikek, Alchemist of Atlas. As your aide in this endeavour, I will be accompanying you all to offer planning advice and gather further information on these grails than that which can be analysed from captured data; I hope that we can establish a mutually beneficial relationship."

"To facilitate co-ordination upon arrival, I have constructed a set of mobile phones, with assistance from the Wizard-Marshall, that can communicate across dimensional lines and function even in the absence of a network to operate upon. Currently, there is one for every Master, and they have facilities to communicate with each other and access the internet. Should it be desired, I will be able to manufacture more for the Servants after our expedition to Greece.

"If there are any features that you wish to request, or assistance required in using the phones, then I shall be happy to be of service," she finished, though it was hard to see how someone that had delivered the entire speech in a near-robotic monotone could be happy about anything. Nevertheless, she started handing out the phones to the Masters, retaining one for herself--and the tablet that would allow her to record more information when they were there.

Nero - Greece

"I believe, Praetor, that if we wish to start anywhere we should head towards the smoke over there," Nero said, helpfully stating the obvious.
I mean that even more slice of life series manage to have a less abrupt final episode.
I hope yesterday didn't cause anyone to forget this thing exists. xD
@Feyblue I see a vampire. :O

And an anime with a very abrupt and poorly-done ending. :T
... this is not a D&D game.
