The somewhat spoilerish insanity of GX's first scene. :D

It at least blacks out the plot stuff.
Ah, sorry this has taken a few days, I'll get one up tomorrow.

EDIT: Ah, Abyss Watchers tactics...
Have you found the most ridiculous clip from Symphogear in such a search? Hibiki suplexes a space shuttle.

The vampire turned to look back at her new minions and their reaction to her... well, preferably the spell. There was no point in playing up for an audience if they weren't going to respond in any way, was there? Unfortunately, it seemed that the two had been struck dumb more by her illusion wearing off than the display of magical power. Not that she was going to get to do anything like that for a considerable amount of time... maybe it would be possible to get some wires? At least that would leave her with some visually impressive tricks to pull off in the meantime.

If Andersen would simply stop being so annoying for a five minutes. The smile turned in his direction carried every possible signal that it wasn't a smile, and it would be clearly in the author's best interests to stop pursuing the discussion; any bodily harm that came after would entirely be his own fault. "Boy, are you suggesting that there is anything other than practicality behind such an illusion?"

The sudden intervention of a magical girl--a magical girl, not that a child playing around like that was anywhere near as odd as the resurrected and inexplicably youthful author; dressing Negi up would have had the same effect--put a pause on Andersen's efforts to dig himself a new hole, though for some reason she seemed to think there was a fight. Sure, there was a distinct lack of a tree where one had previously been but... "If you want to avoid anyone getting hurt, the last thing you want to do is start a fight where there wasn't one, however..."

At this, the Evangeline pointed up, at the moths crowding the sky. Unfortunately for whoever was behind it, attempting to poison her whilst her vampire abilities were still accessible was merely mildly uncomfortable, rather than incapacitating. A curse like that had its advantages, especially when you were old enough to negate the weaknesses. "Perhaps you and Mordred would like to get rid of these?"

There, that should let the minion show her what she could do...

The massive figure turned his head slightly when a slight weight jumped onto his shoulder, wondering what it was that would so brazenly and fearlessly sit on him. The animal, whatever it was--not a normal one as far as his knowledge went--had even brought a gift. Such a minor morsel, but the grease and starch was nice--nothing like the raw meat and blood from most of his meals. But the monkey's (if that's what it was) positioning made a small girl's attempts to get his attention clearer.

Ah, a road? And he was in the way. That was a clear enough instruction, and Asterios started to move both himself and the other obstruction out of the way, the small crowd parting for the obvious reason that there was no way they were going to hold up someone that could lift a mangled car in one hand as if it was made of tissue paper. The driver, too, seemed to be getting the impression that there was nothing he was going to get out of the bull-man... well, nothing that would help with insurance payouts, and that maybe it was time to stop shouting at the person who could crush his head in one hand.

Standing at more than double Cagliostro's height, Asterios had to look straight down to get a good look at her. She looked a bit out of place... not as much as he did, but significantly enough. And she felt... different. Different from normal humans, but not in the same way as his Master had been. Maybe she could fill the same sort of role? "You are... magus?"

  • Name: Tachibana Hibiki
  • Gender: Female
  • Personality: Hibiki's greatest strength is her ability to reach out to anyone, even enemies, and to try and come to a mutual understanding without needing to fight. It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done, she's still going to make the offer and only come down to fighting if it absolutely has to be done. This goes well with her normal cheerful and enthusiastic disposition, one that has had her roommate compare her to the sun. On top of this, she approaches everything with maximum effort... quite loudly as well, even if it's as utterly mundane as a crane game--though not studying, which is definitely one of her greater flaws. Whilst her heart's unerringly in the right place and she's got the drive to do things... Hibiki isn't the smartest tool in the shed.
Despite appearances, Hibiki's attitude is far from unshakeable--being forced to fight people, especially those that seem to have the same goals, will cause her to hesitate, and her past can cause her to stop as much as it can help bridge the gap with enemies. Anything involving her roommate can get to her extremely easily, too.
  • Brief History: Four years ago, Hibiki went to a Zwei Wing concert, one that was almost invaded by Noise after the first song. Had it been any other concert, everyone would have died. In this one, the singers were also the only Symphogear users--and thus able to fight back against the Noise. Unfortunately, this didn't help the outcome much at all, with the entire rest of the audience being killed and Hibiki only surviving because one of the singers gave her life for it. The public response to her survival wasn't exactly pleasant, but that would have been the end of it if not for the shard of Gungnir that buried itself in her chest--something that Hibiki would activate two years later to save a child.
The events that followed lead her to engage in a lot more violence than she ever would have wanted to, yet in the end have definitely turned out for the better, making her relationship with her closest friend even closer and numerous other friends to boot. Well, it also saved the world several times over from such diverse things as a blonde with a grudge against the moon and an alchemist with a really big hat. Since things began, she's lost the original shard buried in her chest, yet gotten a more complete Symphogear regardless, and the entire system has been upgraded a few times.
  • Universe of Origin: Senki Zesshou Symphogear
  • Equipment: Hibiki carries a piece of the relic Gungnir, turned into a Symphogear--essentially, a technomagical system powered by singing that was created to fight against entities known as the Noise, which have the ability to turn anything they touch into ash. Transformed, it vastly increases her physical capabilities, rendering her bulletproof and able to move in time to respond to being shot at--even by artillery, catching a tank shell in her hands. Normally, a Symphogear would allow the wielder to summon an Armed Gear--the weapon that went into creating it--but Hibiki is for some reason unable to do this. Instead, she simply uses Gungnir to enhance more physical moves. This ranges from the comparatively simple spring-aided punches and kicks, all the way up to rocket-propelled drill punches, pretty much compensating entirely for the lack of the spear, though without any special moves to show for it. It's implied that Hibiki's Armed Gear is actually her ability to hold hands; in practice, this allows her to co-ordinate and focus other people's power... even an enemy's, though this only works with Phonic Gain, so if you aren't powered by singing it's unlikely to matter.
On top of this, the whole thing is equipped with an IGNITE module--a piece of Dainsleif. When activated, it gives a boost in power inversely proportional to how long it can safely be used, at max release lasting a matter of seconds. If it was allowed to continue, the most likely outcome is for Dainsleif to drive her into being a berserk monstrosity. This is the less dangerous super mode that the Symphogear has: the other is called a Swan Song for a reason, even with an exceedingly high sync ratio, the user is going to get one attack... and then they're out of the fight in need of immediate medical attention. Bleeding from the eyes is probably the least of the issues with using that.
  • Abilities: Aside from Gungnir, Hibiki has a wide and eclectic knowledge of martial arts... picked up from watching and emulating action movies of all things, which is hardly a normal or particularly cohesive way to learn to fight. It, however, seems to have worked out perfectly fine for her, and even without Gungnir she could punch far harder than any girl her age should be physically able to--though she still has nothing on her teacher's crazy level of ability.
  • Other:
And I have Drake on my normal account. :T
Unless it's my bronze run, where any FP immediately goes into trying to get Andersen to show up.

I'm not sure where to put Hibiki, but hey, at least I did something productive with these characters:

And unlike Nanoha, this one doesn't have to be really good at maths! :D
And finally...

It is a funny thing. They're the biggest, strongest race and--martial art geared entirely towards fighting things that are bigger and stronger? xD
