Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Good luck; don't get brained by a TV.
Shiro

Shiro pouted as the object of her interest was pulled away. That was... no fair! She just wanted to keep admiring that smooth belly some more, and the plants had gotten all uppity for some reason and pulled her away. Nevertheless, this forced the girl to brush herself off and stand up in time to listen to Lila's introduction... although she was only half paying attention. The dragongirl's navel was very distracting, and one of the other summoned champions had an equally bare stomach... this was definitely a heavenly place...

With their summoner's introduction over, Shiro made her own... this was very distracting after all, one couldn't leave it too long. "Well, challenges sound interesting... I am Shiro, of no family or clan of note. We are also the Yamata no Orochi... do you think these challenges might have something bigger than us? I haven't met something like the Daidarabotchi for eras."

The paladin didn't even try to suppress her snicker as Fanilly was summarily dunked again for her negative attitude--not that it was unwarranted; being broody all the time didn't go down well. She even had her own thoughts to add: "Surely a party isn't that bad? Nobody is expecting that much, and you have more preparation for royal balls than most. Don't get roaring drunk in your first official function and you're doing better than certain other captains have."
Sir Lancelot, Knight of the Lake

As the arena descended into violence and the shadows rolled in, Lancelot did the only thing that made sense for a knight of his stature and position: he called upon his armour and summoned Arondight to his hand, racing up the stands to fight the shadows. His King's order was unnecessary; every instinct drove him to answer the challenge as soon as it was available.

Innocent people were in danger, and nothing was to be held back.

A shadow with a katana was the first to be cut down, showing that for all these numbers, the abilities the shadows presented were a mere fragment of the abilities of the original. Another almost-familiar figure with a spear was parried, only to be bifurcated in a blaze of released energy. Weak, so weak... but numerous. Even if they could all be cut down one by one, there were simply too many and too many possible victims to work through them so methodically. The restriction on Noble Phantasms was listed, but how many of those attending had true anti-army capabilities? Arturia might, but restraint would be the problem...

Adjusting his target, Lancelot moved for the most unlucky section of the stands, those who had the least Servants on their side when this began. He hoped that his Master could keep up, could reinforce after this action... but even if it meant his dismissal, there was no other choice. His blade shone with a pale light that steadily grew, trusting the others in attendance to more than cover for the weakness...

A dagger-wielding shadow fell.

The gathered energy would only be unleashed at the most desolate portion of the stands.

Shiro wanted to tilt her head in interest at the person on her head... but there was a person on her head. A cute girl on her head! Really, this was all after to a wonderful start, even if she didn't have quite the best view whilst being used as a platform. There were some more cute girls falling, and running around... some guys too, she supposed.

Kamiko was treated to her platform lowering itself to the ground, then starting to disappear entirely, the snake reducing in surprise as quickly as it had grown, withdrawing from underneath the swordswoman and leaving her stood merely on the much less interesting ground. Shiro, for her part, dusted off her clothes and looked around in curiosity as the others started to introduce themselves or run. She'd have to take a closer look at the slimelike one later, she would be unusual.

All her thoughts were derailed when yet another girl came stumbling out of the trees, falling over. Oh my, what an opportunity this was, to help her up!

Lila might have appreciated the assistance a little more if the white-haired girl who had rushed to her side actually offered a hand and not... well, seemed intent on either tickling her or stroking her bare sides whilst muttering. "Ah... this must be heaven... so many girls... girls with scanty clothing... eheheheh..."

She was practically salivating.

"But the reactions are always so much more interesting if I don't ask," Tyaethe said, making a big show out of pouting before relaxing fully into the bath. There was always the additional drawback that people liked to say "no" when asked if they wanted to let a vampire nibble on them. As if she was going to take a dangerous amount; it wasn't as if the paladin was a half-starved beast with no self control.

"Oh yes, there's a ball tomorrow night, Fanilly. Seems like the princess wants to meet the new captain and asked for you to come along and bring some of the knights. Weapons expected."
