Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

It's not really a hint, it's just a blatant statement that you don't need to IC arrange a group.
Tyaethe Radistirin

"If you wanted to ask more about Cal, I'm sure I saw his daughter around, though I can't imagine anyone would want to talk about a traitor in the family," Tyaethe said off-handedly, cocking her head at the explanation of an assassination attempt--and then sighing deeply, body seeming to deflate in on itself until regaining her less-than intimidating figure. At least the dress she had worn to the occasion seemed to fit reasonably well.

"I think that you should keep an eye out for anyone making a sudden move for a crossbow, or magic, or anything else that can kill at a distance. I am going to make sure that any attack launched misses its mark. If you find the cake somehow, save me some."

Accordingly, the now-child was circling around the hall, moving between small groups but getting closer--and keeping an eye on--the princess and those around her.

You can sign up to do jobs without pre-arranging a party.
Laetitia Arconiand

The barrier around the park on their arrival was quite impressive, if one considered encasing such a formerly nice area in a shimmering purple iridescence to be an achievement worth lauding and not some untold horror likely drawing on human sacrifice. Or actively perverting the concept behind it. Either way, to erect a bounded field like this with minimal physical anchoring that would effectively bring the attempts of Servants to break in to a halt until some superior Caster came around or a Master found a way to run in safely and disrupt its anchors...

It was a good thing she had let Saber bring her over, honestly. All the power in the world couldn't save you if your physical restrictions were so vague, not unless you were bringing some sort of high ritual to the party. This? This was neither, and although most magi couldn't hope to alter the barrier's flow itself and have it act like there was a nice big chunk of rock in the way, perfect for two people to wander through without stripping their spiritual essence...

It did make her look quite strange, standing there arms spread, though, gesturing with her head for the knights to go through before following after and letting it collapse. Hey, maybe they'd even get a little bit of a sneak attack on... whoever was behind this? Or as sneaky as a bunch of heavily armoured shining armour types could be.
Hurrah!
Corinne and Liliane

"No, we haven't taken any jobs today," Liliane stated, raising an eyebrow at the shadows accompanying the girl. Some sort of mage then, which might be to Corinne's liking... or maybe not, it was hard to tell. That seemed a lot less flashy than her interests went towards and a lot more subtle, "If there's nothing we want to do, we'll just come back tomorrow. We don't need the pay..."

For instance, if all the jobs left were either eminently unsuitable for launching fireballs--farmers tended to frown upon that as a solution to a wolf dilemma--or any occasion where undead were clearly in play. Corinne would have to get over that at some point; her skills practically begged themselves to be applied to cleaning out masses of the dead... but Liliane was pretty certain nobody would be able to force her into doing it.

The adventurer flicked her cards from one hand to another, done shuffling for the moment, "Do you want to play?"

Of course, her wife had been paying attention this entire time, comparing Liliane with the newcomer mage. Both of them had white hair, that much was true, but something seemed a bit... different. Liliane's seemed like the more typical example, white but still... vibrant, and her skin was fair but not remarkably so--she tanned quite nicely down in Tiffauges. Shir... there was an almost pallid look to her, the white more like the white brought on by old age, her skin almost pallid. It was far more worrying than the shadowy construct pulled out of nowhere. Even the minor warmth of this northern summer seemed to be overwhelming.

"Are-Are you sure you should be adventuring? Eet ees dangerous to stress yourself so! One's 'ealth must be considered."

Liliane winced at that. Of course Corinne was worried after a complete stranger's wellbeing even if they were only pale. The first time she had met a nem...

@TheFake
And I'm waiting on JDH because not waiting for that post would be rude.
THE BOARD

With the bustle starting to die down, those perusing for jobs would note four listed of the appropriate skill level, and sufficiently time-consuming and dangerous as to both pay well and require a party for the job at hand. Of course, there was a proliferation of low-ranking jobs like helping farmers with their livestock, or single-person affairs like trying to track down lone criminals of minor importance. Stubbornly uncompleted from over a month before was a request to persuade a dragon to stop harassing Dansbell; though from the way it was written it still seemed unclear if it was serious.

Orc activity is on the rise between Venne and Walverrest. The crown has placed a bounty on every orc killed, with a bonus for confirming the area is clear of any further infestation. Risk to seasoned adventurers is estimated to be low; minimal sign of Troll activity.
The First Task

Bonjour! Ithillin merchant caravan, seeking escort to Falrist [sic] or Khal'Darazdrim. Long journey.
The Second Task

Disappearances on the route to Haesting. Novice adventurers on routine trips also caught; normal ranks not bothered. Seek and destroy.
-Death
The Third Task

A monastery lost since the war against Orodrunn has been located and the church is willing to pay handsomely for any artefacts recovered. As the location is buried within Amalril, the risk cannot easily be quantified and novices are advised to look elsewhere.
The Fourth Task
That one is physically impossible not to mention requiring something that never happened!

No, no, all her relatives are very dead.
Tyaethe does not have a sister, that is not an option. :P
