Vera listened, intrigued as Catherine listed the academy's places of interest in response to Lyra's question. No wonder the students were dismissed at noon everyday. There was simply too much to explore. She could only imagine the work that had been put into building the place. What kind of school fees were her parents paying for her to study there? She also payed careful attention to the teacher's advice regarding her own element, particular interested in what she suggested about Lyra and her using their abilities together at the last part.

"Thank you so much for your advice, Ma'am, I'll keep all of that in mind," Vera replied cheerfully. "It's a pleasure to be here too!"

She then turned to Lyra, excitement lighting up her amber eyes. "Lyra dear, we should totally try to come up with a combo move or something once we learn to control our powers well enough!"

@Stern Algorithm And going off that, the man is named Professor Ridley, he is Irish with red hair and an affinity for softer light projections rather than the bright light most elementalists produce by instinct. His particular teaching method involves shadow theatre, as focusing the light correctly is a basic component of both controlling light and shadow theatre.

Too bad Vera's all about brightness then eh? ;) I plan for her to develop her own unique style (like Zeke and his colour) if I can be that creative by then lol. Maybe she can turn those bright flashes into pretty sparkles, or contain them in orbs of light.

@Aiyanna Feel better soon! And I agree with the dorm pairing thing. Once more characters meet, things would probably get more exciting, especially if people keep pointing out Kanako's underwear problem to her, haha! It'll be hilarious if people like Kanako and Silas end up as dorm mates lol.
