My Oddish is still only level 8. And I've been grinding for for-freaking-ever. The grind is so real...
It gets a whole lot better after the first gym. Keep it small.

Yes. I believe it's not to show the level of the pokemon.

I'm barely in Viridian Forest. Evolution is the last thing on my mind. Though I do want a Raichu at some point.
Just going to say this. Get a ground type and level that up. The difficulty spike with Lt.Surge's gym is insane.
I got Oddish, so I'm not too worried.
Well you won't be able to evolve it until Celeadon City unless you are really lucky with your excavation spawns.
