Sup im sword just got here and am getting a feel for things.
Well i got a feel for things and i think ill stay... also recovering from spine surgery sucks but is better than ending up in the emergency room again.
@Tenma Tendo so just a thought, im not entirely sure how their bodys work and the control they have of them but if they asked torok if he could either make like a stone doll or change how they look for them. Like make them taller or something he probly would.
Torok sat with his legs crossed quietly in the small patch of grass, the distant chatter of everyone in the mess hall seemed to drown each other out. Vines and flowers crawled up along his legs and his torso virtually covering him almost entirely, if this were to continue he would soon look like a small bush. The boy had no worries, this was how he slept, and he could also gain some nutrition this way as well. Yet the peace and serenity he was trying to keep himself in tune with was interrupted with a voice and a question.
Another student had questions for him, it wasn’t the first time someone new confused him for staff after all he was rather large and had a nearly full beard. He was quiet for a time after the boys question and at first seemed to not even acknowledge the other boys' presence. “Mason” he thought to himself, opening his eyes he slowly looked up at him. Torok’s eyes were entirely black, his gaze was not piercing but uneasy. As if stepping to close, would surrender the other person to an empty dark abyss. He did not say anything or make any attempt to shake the boy’s hand he simply stared at the other boy who with his heavy jacket and lighter hair that seemed a bit uneasy in the direct sunlight.
Slowly without braking eye contact a small vine brought itself up from his lap with a packet entangled in its grasp. The packet being identical to Masons reads “For Torok Citadel, Elemental Guardian” on the front this basically stating who and what he is to the other boy. The vine seemed to point towards his booklet then back towards the mess hall with everyone else, a subtle way of saying ‘go back inside for questions.’ After a few more moments the vine descended, and He looked back down closing his eyes as he continued with his meditation. Truthfully Torok wasn’t trying to be rude he just didn’t wish to talk to anyone, especially someone who basically just woke him up and interrupted his lunch at the same time.
@Tybalt Capulet Oi be patient ill have a dissmissive post for you tonight... probably. Not trying to be rude but im gone this weekend and dont want to leave you hanging.
The car shifted ever so slightly as it bobbed and weaved down the old gravel road. Such a strange feeling to be back again, anxiety showing on the boys worried face as he rotated a small blue sapphire his sister had given him in his hands. He was late like usual the driver was not familiar with this area and was barely able to get past the government checkpoint at the beginning of this road. To be fair the gate guard was rather intimidating, saying this camp was for youths who had done something criminally wrong. The driver did look at the boy a bit differently and with a bit of wonder but didn’t say anything about it.
After a little while Torok could tell they were getting closer the brush around the road was beginning to clear out, and he could see some outlaying structures. There were a few campers still around making their way toward orientation, none of whom he recognized. He could feel the car slowly come to a stop, the driver didn’t get out of his car he simply nodded to the boy who got out of the car and handed his duffle bags of clothing and smaller effects off to an employee. He showed the man his Invitation as the driver pulled away, “you’re a little late Mr. Citadel, the others have already started orientation” all the man received in return was a shrug.
Torok was rather large for his age, dwarfing most that stood next to him in both height and stature. He constantly looked a bit dirty and always smelled like the ground or occasionally like a flower. His clothes were quite plain, a green t-shirt and loose fitting blue jeans, but he was not wearing any socks or shoes. Around his neck was a silver chain with a small sapphire stone, roughly the size of a large marble, resting in the middle, the stone and silver metal chain had small pieces of granite interlaced with it. The granite wasn’t for looks it was mostly so Torok could find it if he ever lost it. Along with the necklace small Jasmine vines grew around his neck, the flowers blooming with a strong scent. The flowers were attracting some bees now and then and the smell of Jasmin was his favorite so it did not bother him.
He walked slowly down the concrete path way, he could already hear Lilac giving her opening speech, so he at least knew he didn’t miss much. Slowly he walked up to the main double doors of the Mess hall, the doors were propped open he guessed to allow air flow. Instead of finding a spot to sit as the Fae finished her speech he instead opted to looking around at the others seeing if he recognized any. There were a few familiar faces in the crowd, yet he could not remember their names, he never truly got along with any of them. The last two times he was here he was engulfed by his own problems to bother with anyone else other than the councilors.
He stood there leaning against the door frame watching the others for a time, the innocent smiles and wary looks of the unsure added with the occasional look or frown that said ‘why am I even here’ the first day was always so wired when it came to the emotions of others. He watched as the councilors engaged the others and answered their questions, for whatever reason he couldn’t see Kalliphae among the councilors it was very possible she was just getting food or was lost somewhere in this sea of people. Before he made his way towards the table where they were handing out the schedule’s he noticed one of the councilors, Thelma Ainsley, heading towards him with another student in tow. He knew well enough that whatever it was they were talking about should be private as it is with anyone that is taken aside for a private talk. The boy waited briefly at the door as they walked past and before moving inside placed his hand on the wall, from it grew two tendrils of green vines that snaked and wormed their way quickly over the wall until they were right next to the two girls. There the vines gathered and twisted around each other eventually sprouting two rose buds that bloomed into two large red roses that faced the girls. @candlelitcraft@BilboTheGreat
Torok didn’t wait to see their reaction, really it was just his way of showing the councilor that he had better control of his ability’s now. He made his way to the plastic table with the other councilors, he did cut in line but only for a moment to grab his packet. No one gripped to him, they may talk bad about him but few ever got the courage to say it to his face or confront him about it he figured it was because he was so big and rarely smiled. The boy was careful with how he walked, here were a few others there that were quite small, and he did not wish to harm them. He nodded towards the two at the table and noticed that his favorite councilor Kalliphae was there, he smiled at her as he picked up his packet. This gesture for some would be quite simple and nothing to take another glance at but for him, this was the first time he smiled while at camp. It didn’t last long though he quickly picked up his packet and walked back outside, he wasn’t hungry and didn’t think too much about conversing with the others. He simply walked out to a patch of grass near the building and sat down, once there he slowly closed his eyes and began to meditate. As he meditated flowers began to sprout around him and bloom, the grass grew taller and thicker, vines and small shrubs grew to partially envelop the boy and wrap around him as he sat there.
Torok looks a few years older than he actually is, mostly because the lad stands now at 6’7” and weighs roughly 270 Lbs. rippled with muscles and a few scars. he sports a beard and blonde hair with black eyes.
RACE: Guardian Elemental (Stone and Nature)
SEXUALITY: Straight
FAMILY MEMBERS: Father - Victor Citadel (Elemental - Fire and Metal) Mother - Rose Citadel (Elemental - Nature and Water) Twin Sister - Sara Citadel (Elemental – precious stones and Metal)
HISTORY: Elementals are an old people created by old magic that has since long been forgotten. Every child is born with a random specialty as well as inheriting one lesser one from their parents. These specialties give them an advantage in controlling and learning how to use and maintain their ability’s faster than they can others. Elementals can only have children with other elementals and each pairing only ever has a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Torok is a rare elemental, a Guardian. This was something his parents were not all that knowledgeable about, for this reason and a few others they opted to send him to a “summer camp” when he turned 13 to learn how to control his ability’s.
Guardians are different from other elementals in one key aspect, where other elementals can eventually learn other elements, guardians can only use the two they were born with but form an almost otherworldly bond with those elements to the point where they can have two skins, and shape shift between them. Guardians form strong lasting bonds with places, things, and occasionally other beings as well, it normally takes some time for a bond to be formed but once it is it will last a lifetime. Guardians are protectors of the things they bond with, strong, daring, and courageous are some things one can be described as, but they can also be reckless, dangerous, and easily angered when the thing they are bonded with is threatened.
This bond is where Torok’s troubles began, his family lived in a small home in the wilderness of Wyoming, far from the prying eyes of others. This is where he made his first bond, he bonded quickly to the forest that surrounded his family’s home. Through his childhood he would spend days away from the house adventuring and exploring the woods getting a feel for nature and his surroundings. He never felt scarred in the forest, the animals never seemed to mind him as long as he respected them and their space. He was just more at home there then at home, everything was peaceful until he had his incident.
Torok was almost 13 his abilities were just starting to come out, and he was just beginning to become accustomed to them with the help of his mother and his father. Yet this chilly September day something was different, for him something felt off or wrong. After some time hiking he could hear it a long-drawn-out buzzing sound and the sound of trees falling. It didn’t take him long to find the team of loggers in the forest. Torok was confused at first his parents told him about what the humans did but said his area was protected that they couldn’t hurt this place. But here they were cutting down his beloved trees, they were his friends.
With fury and rage in his heart the boy lost control, unfortunately for him his emotions have a big part in his abilities and how they are used. A low grumble and shaking could be felt through the ground before suddenly from the tree line, a giant of earth and stone emerged from the forest near the loggers standing nearly 10 feet tall. It chased them back to their camp and their trucks, throwing stones while roots and plants grasped at them tripping them and pulling them into the ground. Before the group had even reached the camp half had been killed, either they succumbed to the plant life or were trampled by the giant. The giant eventually destroyed the camp letting only one of the loggers escape down the road in his truck. The giant didn’t do anything for a time, but his presence made the surrounding forest regrow while the earth slowly retook the campsite and the bodies leaving almost no trace that someone was there at all.
Piece by piece chunks of rock fell from the giant revealing the unconscious body of the boy, but he was not alone. Torok’s father had followed the sound of the roaring and saw the giant destroy the camp. For a moment the man thought that his son was controlling the giant or another Elemental or druid had made its way into the area. However, the man was stunned for a moment when he witnessed his son appear from the stone giant. There was a lot of excitement in the area for a few months after that, search teams and reporters trying to find the missing loggers that were logging illegally in the forest.
For the rest of the year Torok became withdrawn, he didn’t understand what he was and his parents didn’t know what to do. He has dreams and nightmares of what he did but doesn’t remember what he did. Eventually his parents found out about the summer camp and sent him and his sister there. The first summer he was there he barely spoke a word and didn’t participate in most exercises or classes. The next year he was a bit more attentive but still withdrawn, the camp counselors were nice and patient always giving him his space and waiting for him to come around. After all, they were aware of what had happened to him. Now he’s not as withdrawn and this summer he thinks he may be able to open up a little more, his sister got what she needed from the camp and his parents did not believe that she needed to go this year. So this year Torok would be alone to face his problems on his own.
Personal Information
PERSONALITY: on the outside he can be rather monotone and neutral, his emotions influence his abilities and he has a very good grasp on them so far. He is a patient and quiet person that doesn’t talk too much, he can be a bit awkward around others. However, he is a passionate person when it comes to the things he cares about and once you break through his tough exterior one would find a warm caring heart that only wants to help and protect even if at times he can act wiser than his age would warrant.
POWERS: Torok is a bit stronger than humans and has a bit more stamina, he can manipulate stone and earth as well as nature, plants and animals. Some of these manipulations require him to have some sort of movement the more complicated it is, while other smaller manipulations require no movement at all just some concentration. However, as stated before his emotions influence his ability’s greatly and if the emotion is great enough then he just might lose control.
HOBBIES: Singing and playing the guitar was something he picked up during his first year. Sculpting was something he learned during his second year. Being in nature as much as he can, whether it be swimming (For him it’s sinking slowly) or a hike.
ANYTHING ELSE WORTH MENTIONING: Ever since his first year he’s had a slight crush on one of the councilors, Kalliphae Adams, she was one of the first people to get him to show off what he could do and always seemed to have good advice. But mostly it was because she would talk to him even if he never said a word.
