And then you wake up because sadly that can only exist in the land of dreams.

I'm really not a dog person (crippling cynophobia will do that to you) but I would protect Pombon with my life.

There's a difference between "silly" and "stupid", and you really shouldn't get those two mixed up.
@Weird TalesYeah, going to have to be brutally honest here: that's really stupid and I'm hoping it doesn't get approved because of that.

@FantasyChicHmmm, if you're going with the alien route I might need to flesh out whatever species Captain Genome gets half of her genetic code from earlier than I thought. XD Kind of expected you to go the "ancient gods were actually aliens" route when you mentioned alien demigods but by the looks of it she's more of a New Gods-type of thing? Hmmm, either way she seems interesting, and her powers seem kind of Lantern-y which is pretty cool. XD
Okays. XD I guess I'll just alert @Dblade26 so he knows what's up then.
@PandaBradyY'know, I've actually been thinking since you stated your intent to restart this the other day, and I kind of came to the idea that it might be a good idea to just start off with a smaller amount of players and then do recruitment drives when we feel like we need to expand the crew. For one thing, makes it more like the manga. XD But hmmm.
Edit: Of course, we could start 'later' as a big starting event is happening like the alien invasion thing you mentioned. Of course, I'd personally have a more 'down-to-earth but not really' beginning arc. For example, I'd prefer if a 'doctor doom' or 'lex-luthorish' sort of figure was making a power-grab in the upper echelons of society and the PC's needed to stop him before he went totally dictator, but hey whatever.

I have no idea how I missed this suggestion, but it sounds pretty cool. So basically Avengers vs Trump I mean what.
IF the cast of characters/players is large enough we could possibly have maybe two cities side by side. One would similar to Metropolis and the other like Gotham.

I'm actually pretty cool with this. One city could have the grim and gritty street crime and crimelords and stuff... And the other could have the magic robots and jet-powered gorillas. :D

Seriously though, if we get to that large a cast it's a pretty decent idea.
Of course, mentioning that has made me want to make a villain who's pretty much just a spoiled rich brat with an expensive powersuit bought with daddy's money... XD

...Anyways, aside from my more serious suggestion, I think Mammoth City, Colossus City, New Athens and New Acropolis sound pretty decent really.
@rocketrobie2The City of Townsville? >.> <.<

I dunno, something like Silver City or something? ^^;
I dunno, I think when people are actively trying to be better people, it's kind of the opposite of cynical and dark but that's just me. Maybe I'm just being too idealistic here since, uh... Let's just say I share Doreen's views on how comics should be, basically. XD

...Then again I am the one who made their character's origins involve a shady clandestine government agency but hey. Just that I seem to be more in favour of something more similar in tone to Marvel's movies than whatever crap DC are putting out with their movies this time.

<Snipped quote by The Kid Lantern>

See, I kind of find casual murder and overly cynical/gritty attitudes in my heroes a little bit boring if it's a widespread thing, personally. Like for example The Judge character in this RP kind of seems to lose his luster and point if all the other characters are also super-violent or anti-heroic

Yepyep. Honestly, I actually find the moral quandaries faced by "thou shalt not kill" types much more interesting than random slaughter. XD
Isn't the golden rule of comics that when two heroes meet they must fight?

Since @The Kid Lantern mentioned a "a large scale hero vs hero battle that wrecks a part of the city" I assumed he meant something more along the lines of Civil War rather than a scuffle arising from a more minor misunderstanding. XD I mean yeah, I assume that no matter what we're going to have some of the character butting heads to begin with, but not on such a big scale as that description implied.
