> My secret is I'm a Half-Elf. Because of my Fey ancestry, I have a certain amount of magic which I use to aid in my daily hunts in the forest. Forest dwellers are mistrusted though, so I try to keep my elf side a closely guarded secret. As such, I'm almost always seen wearing my hood in town to keep people from seeing my elvish ears, the most defining trait of mine.

Goals and Quests

Rallis has been living in the Hamlet for a few years at this point, and the re-opening of the Adventurer's Guild has him intrigued. The idea of being a bounty hunter could open new possibilities for earning some extra money for food and other necessities.

Inventory

[ Clothes ] Aside from regular villager's clothes, Rallis is almost never seen without the bright blue hooded cloak that covers his head. Why such a cloak doesn't give him away in the green forest is anybody's guess.
[ Sling ] A popular game and toy in the village. Powered by pebbles and rocks.
[ Waterskin ] For when you get thirsty.
[ Snacks ] it's simple food, but lounging in the sun always makes lunchtime special.

@Mae Currently traveling this weekend for a wedding and don’t have access to my computer. I’ll try and have my CS copy/pasted if I get a moment, but I should have something proper on Monday at the latest.

@Mae So about the magic. I know I said Rallis can use it, but it’s to a VERY limited extent. It’s not that he’s studied or had any proper training, it’s just something he does like a reflex. I wanted to incorporate it into his stealth as he’d have some sort of camouflage ability, and possible being able to manipulate the flight of his arrows (perhaps wind or just changing trajectory. I’ll leave that up to you)

Where I live changed slightly to squatting in toolshed Wormwood calls woodbox.

Sheesh how many of us are just various stages of hobo? 🤣

@TheNoCoKid maybe Rall has come across Wormwood in the woods before and after realizing he is not a threat he come out every do often to check up on the dumb little lizard? Lol

@Dark Cloud Honestly I could see Rallis and Wormwood having some fun interactions. Like, if Wormwood is good at finding things (I.e. arrow materials or tracking his targets), Rallis could “pay” him in food or other stuff to keep him going. It’d be less like a sidekick and more a paid partnership since Rallis could also supply Wormwood with stuff from the Hamlet or possibly give him an alternate residence in his cabin. 😜

@TheNoCoKid awesome, welcome aboard! What sort of characters are you leaning towards?

I thought it could be fun to do either a ranger or a mage sort of character? Like the ranger would be a village hunter who hunts in the nearby woods, and joins the guild because hunting monsters/criminals would be better pay.

The mage would be more like a classic “Isekai hero” type character who is a farmhand or something and discovers he has latent magical potential. Personally I’m a fan of magic systems where each character is adept at one form of magic. Makes it all more unique.

Pokémon: The Next Hunt

As Harry arrived in the campus square, he found a low wall and sat on top of it for a few moments as he watched the throng of students rush out from the school doors and down the massive staircase that led to the school. A few students even brought out their Cyclizars to make the descent quicker. Harry debated whether or not to ask if there was a method to make the dragon Pokémon more manageable, but his thoughts were interrupted by a sudden warmth on his legs. Looking down, the young trainer was greeted by the sight of Moony sleeping in his lap.

"Breaking out again, buddy?" Harry just stroked the soft fur of the little Teddiursa. There was no rush for him to get into things right now. As far as he was aware, no other students had access to Ms. Raifort's notes like he had so it stood to reason that no one else would be anywhere close to finding the Ruinous Pokémon even if they wanted to. The only other students would be... Adam and Renata. As he thought of the ghost girl, he felt Stiker suddenly shift on top of his head, but no one was around when he looked up. Shrugging it off, Harry grabbed his backpack and checked his physical map one last time. "Logically we're going to have to start in the South Province. It seems like the first tomb is somewhere in Area Five if I did my math right..."

In a matter of moments, Harry's words devolved into a bunch of techno-babble that most students would go cross-eyed just from thinking about. It wasn't until he heard a soft 'boo' that he finally glanced up and saw Renata standing next to him; a shy Gastly peeking out from behind her shoulders. Harry shivered for a moment upon seeing the Gastly AND the Greavard, but forced himself to stay calm.

The Ruinous Quartet. I take it you do have some idea how to find them? If it helps, I know a few things about myths and history." The girl stood there as she waited for Harry to consider her offer.

"I... well..." Harry tried to begin. "I'm not really one for the whole te- OW!" He was cut short as Striker jumped up suddenly pecked him in the head. "Ok! I get it!" Harry shooed the bird away from his head before continuing. "I guess what I meant to say is... Would you consider teaming up with me? Admittedly, I've got a rough history with teams, but if you promise you want to help and you WON'T backstab me, then I will need help with battling the Quartet if they're still violent." Harry rubbed his head in pain and embarrassment as Striker cooed proudly in the air behind him. Harry was making new friends!
