@EWillden D; why didn't you say so sooner! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ( in lateness D;)

Also will have a post tonight ^^
@Dark Light sounds like something the church would force on the people xD
@Dark Light nope no sun to create seasons xD it's a relatively random occurance that happens once in a while. According to some scholars it's crachs in the planet that open, allowing frost from the surface to temporary get deeper until the cracks freeze over completely sealing themselves again. Others think it's just the displeased nature of the sun god. Thirds think it's evil wizards and monsters and witches and other easy to blame targets and they need to do more witchhunts to stop it from happening ~
@Dark Light yep welcome to the endless darkness ^_~
@Sam12435 Yeah that's basically the situation within a certain radius of the poles ^_^

@Dark Light It's a primal thing - the survival instinct. Darkness is the domain of horrors and dangers we cannot see, things that stalk out there without us seeing them. Thus from those ancient days the instincts remain to hide and fear the dark.
@Dark Light yeah that's pretty much it. There may be a small tiny medalion sized shard for the local priest to preach with, but beside that's its only darkness.
@Sam12435 For future reference, no tags within the IC posts from you guys ^_^ still I like hte post!
“But I feel a lot better now!” Chalsea replied in almost childish like stubborness, from desire to stay with Adalia, and put her willpower into play as much as she can to get some additional strength into her wobbly legs. Which proved some results to her great joy. What was even better for her mood and overall condition was when the queen helped her stand up.

When their bodies touched, the mercenary's eyes slightly twitched in surprise as she didn't except Adalia to help her up as she did, not she expected them to be so close to one another like that. It was not bad by any means! In fact it was great and the blond woman couldn't help, but feel great about it and her decision to force herself into moving again so soon after coming back to consciousness. If she didn't do that, maybe right now she wouldn't be with Adalia like she was right now!” I will be grateful for something to eat, alright.” She replied when the other woman proposed they go down to get breakfast. Aside the thirst she felt, Chalsea also felt incredibly hungry, which was not a surprise considering the amount of energy her body had used up since she fell with the sickness. She needed to recuperate for quite a while if she was to get better and to her feet again, but the changes in her body were just starting, her blood was awakening and there was still a long way to go before everything was settled down.” Also some water... a lot of water...” She added with a shy smile about it.” I feel like I could drink an entire bucket of water more.”

“Don't worry, step bravely.” Chalsea said as she noticed how careful the other woman was while they were walking down the stairs.” I may not be in great condition, but I'm not so bad that I cannot get down some stairs with someone's help no less.” She added with a smile, grateful that the queen was helping her with it and very happy about it.” The worst that could happen is I roll down the stairs.” She then added with a smirk and slight giggle. She was not afraid of the fall really. She had seen worse than stairs.

Finally they were at the living room and Adalia helped with sitting down on the couch. By this point, Chalsea already felt better and was smiling a lot, refreshed by Adalia's mere presence. She had fallen for the queen hard.” Alright, not like I can go anywhere, you know.” The mercenary replied with a joking voice as the queen walked away to arrange for the food.

The mercenary captain followed Adalia's every movement with great focus, memorizing every curve, every move of the other's body. 'She's just so beautiful.' She though, feeling herself blush. A blush that was luckily not easy to see due her loss of color in the face. Once the queen was out of the room, Chalsea took a deep breath and relaxed completely into the couch. She couldn't believe her luck, to meet a woman like that in a place like this. Their worlds should be so much apart with Adalia being a queen and Chalsea a simple mercenary's, but the queen was so different from anyone the nomad had ever met before. Right now she could only hope she got to spend even more time with Adalia and maybe eventually tell her how she felt. Even if her growing affection wasn't mutual, she wouldn't regret telling her.

“I don't know why this is happening.” Chalsea replied when the queen returned and told her about her condition.” I can't even remember clearly when it started yesterday. I only know it felt hot all of the sudden and next thing I know, I woke up upstairs all thirsty like I've wandered a desert without water for days.” She explained, reaching with shacky hand to take the cup of tea.” Even now I feel thirsty... “ She explained with quiet voice and looked at the queen.” Look, I don't want you to take risks on my behalf, Adalia. If you are saying that you are experimenting, then it's not completely safe, right? I don't want to be responsible if something goes wrong and you get hurt. I'm fine... I'm recovering...” Was what she told, hoping it was truth.
@Sam12435@Rekaigan@Marx@ONL@Delta44@Dark Light Alright, we are officially up and running FOLKS! First post is up ^_^. Now here's how we will proceed with this. Since this is a new town, I've listed locations of interest where your characters could head and be at at the start so it's entirely possible people don't see each other right away. Anyhow at some placed you may gain information, or buy items or meet other people. Up to you ^^

It’s been a long few days for the residents of Shezze. For the usually small and worthless village, the situation had take a sudden turn to the worse. It all had started with the appearance of a nest of giant snakes near the newly dug up mineshaft. Each of those serpents big enough to swallow a man whole, but still those were dealt with by the resident garrison. Then the temperature in the region dropped soon after to the point where water started to freeze. This rare occurrence as always was left unexplained, but people knew to simply settle down in their homes and wait for it to pass as it had every time before.

It’s been a week since the temperature drop started and now the temperature had finally started to normalize. The people had once more taken to walking outside their houses and take care of the small worthless place they called home. It was early in the morning hours now and everyone was hurrying off to the animal pens or the newly dug mine. Torches and lamps were scattered everywhere as they represented the only source of light within this bleak village.

The single store in Shezze had just opened and so has the inn as revealed by the warm colors splashing across the glass of the windows from the warm fireplaces inside. The day has finally started and none of the villagers yet knew the gathering that was going to take place in their humble home.

Locations of interest within Shezze:
  • The mine – A new mineshaft dug towards the unexplored regions in hope of locating resources.
  • The store – The only store within the village, accepts both money and barter. Has a number of dried rations and other small trinkets. Still despite it being a small run down thing, who knows what secrets lay within.
  • The square – Located in the center of the village, has a big oil lamp right in the middle. Usually empty during the day hours.
  • Rugged Mushroom – The only tavern in Shezze and naturally the only place to stay at. For a small fee provides shelter, decent food and alcohol.
  • The Chapel – The holy place in Shezze, the chapel is the home of the only priest in the village.
  • The barracks – The final location of interest, the barracks are a small building with two floors, a small stone walled yard and heavy metal gates.

Sala & Vala

Location: The square, Shezze
Interacting With: No one in specific.

They had finally arrived, the twins realized when they saw from distance the dim light at the end of the tunnel. They were traveling for days and days without much rest to come to Shezze and they were finally here! Sala and Vala smiled widely and started to run, a small hope filling their hearts with warm sensation and dreams of better future… a free future.

It was already some time past the morning and the village appeared rather empty as everyone had gone to their place of work. The miners could be heard swinging away at the new mine while the farmers were out and away with the few animals in the mushroom fields that were used for animal fodder. The narrow and dark streets were empty, the torches scattered about the place, threw scary shadows at every corner as they walked towards the center of the village.

They didn’t want to talk with people too much right now. In fact the twins felt tired and hungry after their long journey. When was the last time they stopped to rest? They thought about it and realized it’s been at least 2 days since they last slept for more than an hour. They had to most near constantly to get away from the church’s men. Now that they had arrived in Shezze, they were safe. This small village was the departing point towards the unknown and this was the only place where the Church of Light showed leniency towards the presence of criminals and the like, for those who ventured out in the darkness were considered already dead anyways.

“We are finally here…” Sala said with a smile, taking her sister’s hand in her own with childishly happy expression.” …Now we can be free, truly free.” Vala finished her sister’s sentence and the two smiled.

They now wondered what to do as they looked around, before finally noting the inn nearby. It brought a smile on their lips and they looked at each other, nodding in unison and agreement. It was time for a meal.
