Sklog hesitantly followed Prism through the dark sub level of mutilated bots. He wasn't much afraid at first, after all he'd seen plenty of dead in his line of work and one dead bot is the same as the next, but what really scared him was the beast before him. A mixture of emotions flooded Sklog as he saw the bug-bot laying in a heap of scrap on the floor. Back when Sklog was only a young Sparkling he remembered the larger cons talking about monster such as these, wether this was in the same line as the ones spoken about so long ago was yet to be known. Sklog stared at the corpse with both fear and anger. This thing was the reason, the inspiration, for Sklog and his brethren with Sklog being the equivalent of a cheap knockoff compared to this beast. 

"Sklog want to leave." Sklog said quietly as he nudged the body of the con with his foot, giving him some slight comfort in knowing that he was alive when it was not.

"This city's gone to drek."

In 1993 crime was at an all time high in the city of Edging but one man decided that he wasn't going to stand around as the strong preyed upon the weak so he donned a costume and became the miraculous hero, the Vigilante! Foe to evil, hated by the wicked, friend to the innocent! The Vigilante cleaned up Edging and fought off foes that were deemed even to much for the police to handle.

That was over fifty years ago though and merely two decades after the Vigilante appeared he left, leaving the crime stopping to the police once more. Now it's 2056 and crime is once again rampant in Edging city (now called Neo Edging) this time with no Vigilante to help the city out of its rut. It was painstakingly clear that Edging needed a hero once again to put the criminals behind bars and keep the 'innocent' safe and with every passing day the elderly billionaire Scott Nexten felt like putting on the Vigilante suit once more but fate had other plans...

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my interest check! I've recently gotten really into Batman: Beyond and have been craving some futuristic superhero action but haven't really found anything that scratches my beyond itch so I decided to make this interest check here. I basically tried to go for something pretty dang close to Batman: Beyond but throwing in original characters, events and twists but the setting is pretty much the same in terms of technology and overall city atmosphere and architecture. My writing length in this will vary a lot, most times I'll post around a paragraph and a half but I can post more when setting the scene and less when there's just mild conversation during just idle chatter between characters or a interrogation. 

In the RP your character will be the heir to the Vigilante title as they're taught how to protect the city from common criminals to grade-A super villains. They will have access to the Vigilante's arsenal of gadgetry though off the bat they won't have access to everything as Mr.Nexton will have dismantled much of it as a means of severing himself from his previous 'occupation'.  I'm planning on having the episode kinda progress like episodes of a show with the hero needing to track down the villain first off, fight through his/her henchmen and then take on the head honcho at one mighty climax.

Setting

-Instead of using money, people exclusively use plastic cards called creds which can hold any amount of money though people tend to keep multiple cards with only about $5 on each so that robbery is a lot tougher.
-There are a lot of themed gangs that come and go but there are a few that have prevailed through the ages such as the sons of Vigilante, a group of 'crime fighters' who usually end up causing more trouble than they start, the Rioteers who are basically a gang of people who just like to give people a hard time for no other reason other than they can.
-The most popular means of communication is still cell phones although most people tend to use flip phones with touch screens.
-Hover vehicles are as common as their ground bound predecessor so you just as likely to see someone flying around on a hover-motorcycle as someone on a normal motorcycle.
