Bio

I am a Japanese-American (half-Japanese on my mother's side) with a twin half-sister. Yes, you read that right. To explain it real quick, during mom's monthly, she dropped 2 eggs instead of 1 after 2 (or more) guys took her to bed. Each egg was impregnated by a different man's sperm.

Anyways, I'm a kind guy who really hates fighting. However, if I have to stop a fight, whether verbal or physical, I will. I'm here to have fun and be crazy with my OCs, new characters and even some canons. So far, my favorite RP I've been in on the site is the Multiverse reboot. As a whole, the Multiverse was 6 years old. I love the idea and have even used it (with a few minor changes here and there) for a few LARPs with my local friends RL.

Other than RP, I am also a Wiccan Witch following the path of Gaia and a hypnotist studying the varying effects of hypnosis on various age groups and am always taking willing volunteers.

Since we're not going to be running into other Conduits that frequently, this might be one of those times we should adapt a Power. We could expand power absorption to work on non-Conduits who possess elemental powers, however he can only have a maximum of four and doesn't start with any of the powers he copied during his game. Or, we could keep the clause that it only works on Conduits, but he's able to add (as additional powers) the four that he copied during his game as level upgrades.

That was kinda my plan. Upon touching someone else connected to some sort of element that can be translated into Conduit powers, he'd get the basic shot, some sort of dash or sprint, and a sense of where he could recharge that power. And, as he levels up, he'll get other upgrades for those powers as well as the powers he gets in the game. If it gets further past that, he could even get Other Conduit powers from the website. But that's looking to far ahead.
Having so much backstory isn't necessarily bad, but it does highlight the discrepancy between backstory content and personality content. If he's been through so much, surely there must be more to him as a character?

Given what he can do, I would be more inclined to say his Specialty is 'Jack-of-all-trades' or 'Adaptability' rather than ranged attacks only.

I have just a couple questions about his power. Is the only power he can absorb elemental? Would that mean his absorption just doesn't work on targets without elemental powers like, say, Tora? How many powers can he stock at once? Is there a time limit before powers expire or something?

I've never been good at writing out personalities and I can't find any better explanation of his personality online.

Adaptability would fit better for him.

As for his power, in the game, he can permanently copy the powers of other conduits. He gets Smoke from Henry Daughtry, Neon from Abigail "Fetch" Walter, Video from Eugene Sims, and Concrete from Brooke Augustine. Each of them comes with a movement, a ranged attack, a melee attack through the chain, a bomb/missile, and a finisher. However, his own Conduit power is the ability to copy other Conduits' powers.

After the fighting was finished, Yoshitsune's first order of business was to produce a friend heart for the Witch Doctor he'd been fighting. After failing his first time, he turned and watched how the others did it, producing one shortly after. With a quick attack that didn't do any more damage, he shoved the heart into the woman. After waiting a couple seconds, he held his hand towards her, showing her friendliness and keeping his hands away from his sheathed blades. "The battle is over."

Even if she understood now that she'd only been part of the Resistance thanks to Nastasia's brainwashing, the Witch Doctor remained full of misgivings. Though the friend heart undid her wounds, they still stung her pride, and she could not look at Yoshitsune impartially. Defeat did not mean friendship. Shaking the hand of the man who'd mocked and wounded her would be too much. So she averted her gaze and looked at the floor, murmuring, "So it is."

Convinced she was alright, the samurai turned towards the others who needed their hearts as well. Seeing the key-wielding boy, he was about to summon another heat, though could tell by the look on the boy's face that he'd already been freed from Galeem's influence.

Once the haze from Galeem lifted, Sora looked around in confusion. "What just happened?" he asked, rubbing his head.

"You've just been freed from Galeem," Yoshitsune started bluntly.

"What's a Galeem? A type of heartless? And who are you?" The boy was obviously very confused.

"My name is Minamoto Yoshitsune. I am a Samurai from Japan."

"A Samurai?!" Sora exclaimed, summoning his keyblade back to his hand. "You don't look like a Nobody."

Taken aback by the teen's reaction, the man held up his hands, his swords still sheathed. "Even nobodies can become great warriors."

"Do I have…" Sora seemed to be checking all his pockets for something. During his search, his Keyblade disappeared. He hung his head in defeat. "I don't have them…"

After watching the young teenager, Yoshitsune was confused. "What were you looking for? If you can magically summon things to your hand, try that."

"That only works for the Keyblade," Sora responded, summoning said weapon again.

"What were you looking for that you apparently don't have?" Yoshitsune inquired.

"Jiminy's journals. I was gonna show you the Samurai Nobodies," Sora sighed.

"I do not believe I'm one of these nobodies you're talking about," the samurai said calmly.

"How can I be sure?" Sora asked, eyeing the man.

"The world we're in now consists of the remnants of many worlds. My world is nothing like anything else I've seen upon traveling around here. I'm sure the others could explain it better." The samurai was mentally hoping for some help in explaining this.

"I've traveled to other worlds. Usually, Donald's magic would help us fit in with that world. My job is to lock the hearts of the worlds to keep the darkness away." The keybearer seemed all too happy about that.

When everyone began leaving the temple, the pair followed behind. Neither of them knew exactly where they were going, though Yoshitsune hoped it was to an inn.

Sora, Upon exiting the temple, looked around in awe. "This place looks like Agrabah," he said to himself.

Overhearing him, Yoshitsune was quick to stop him from running off. "This is Al Mamoon. You could get lost easily if you're not careful. Stick with the group."

Finally realizing he was out of his element, the teenager rested his arms behind his head with a sigh. "So, who is everyone?" Sora asked, looking at the entirety of the group.

Yoshitsune nodded and pointed at each person around them, making them, and saying whether they were with the travelers or if they were temporary allies from the city. Though, he did comment that he'd prefer the two large brutes, Big Band and Goldlewis, joined their travels.

Yoshitsune sighed in relief at the backup. As the man began firing his weapon, the samurai used the last of his Kurama herbs, healing him considerably, though not completely. Once the blond man's attack stopped, Yoshitsune rushed forward, his swords slashing through the air, aiming at the staff and dagger the Witch Doctor held, attempting to disarm her, before aiming a kick to bounce her head off the wall.

Thinking she was out of the fight, he turned back to the gunner. "Surrender," he advised, trying to hide the physical strain he'd been going through for the last couple minutes.

With the ranks of her loathsome summons thinned, the Witch Doctor anticipated an attack, but the speed and anger of the vengeful samurai surprised even her. Once in melee range, however, Yoshitsune aimed not for her vitals but the weapons in her hand. The dagger flew from her fingers almost effortlessly, the impact of the blades having jarred her grip. When she felt her all-important staff being wrenched away, the Witch Doctor committed to keeping hold of it to such an extent that the force pulled her impact wide open, and the next moment a kick threw her back. Still, basically untouched until now, the summoner could still fight without much issue. With a vehement swear the Witch Doctor unleashed the spell Horrify to conjure a nightmarish image above her and force Yoshitsune to dash away.

Goldlewis didn't like the distance between the two sides. Until his Security Level rose again, he couldn't challenge the ladies at range, and even then his slow weaponry would be hard-pressed to turn the tide. He took note as the Witch Doctor summoned a trio of undead mongrels to fight by her side, but Daisy was a more immediate concern. She finished reloading her rifle and opened fire, which prompted Goldlewis in turn to bring up his coffin like a shield and deploy a glowing energy barrier. With it in front of him he advanced toward the enemy. "Keep the dogs offa me!" he called to Yoshitsune. "I'll push 'em back 'til we've got 'em cornered!"

Yoshitsune leapt back, getting a bit of space between himself and the summoned dogs. "There's nothing your beasts can do to me, witch," he smirked before activating Kamui again. As he'd hoped, all 3 dogs attacked together. The samurai countered with a spin, slicing through each of their heads. "I've defeated gods," he continued, walking closer. "Surrender or perish."

As he heard the samurai's boasting, Goldlewis shook his head. "Hey, don't get cocky, kid!" The undead mongrels called forth by the Witch Doctor ran as a pack around the side of the Secretary of Defense's barrier, and after making sure of his positioning the samurai met them head on. When the hounds lunged for him, the rotting flesh of their faces flapping over slimy, gnarly teeth, Yoshitsune's fiery blades met little resistance. Since they moved by necromancy the wounds weren't fatal in the conventional sense, but in essence they were all but dealt with, and despite his burns and spider bites the samurai was clearly feeling himself.

Rather than respond to Yoshitsune's bragging verbally, or be unnerved by the approaching shield wall the Witch Doctor kept her focus. She reached a hand toward the mongrels fallen at the samurai's feet and clenched her fist to cast Sacrifice. Though weak and easily felled, the Mongrels served a much grander purpose in death: to detonate in a withering explosion of dark magic, the highest burst damage that any Witch Doctor could put out with a single skill. The beast detonated with enough force to put a small crater in the dungeon floor and stagger the nearby Goldlewis despite his formidable build. "Gyah!" he grunted, his coffin knocked askew and his barrier fallen. "That's just what I meant! Anyone who's anyone's got some crap up their sleeves!" He quickly took stock of the Witch Doctor and Daisy, noting the distance between them. "Well, we're in it now!" He rapped on the coffin, and from it the alien's arm extended to release a spiky, pineapple-sized grenade with a propeller on top. It floated toward the Witch Doctor as she cast Gargantuan to summon a large zombie. Daisy, meanwhile, had kitted herself with a Vox Burstgun before turning the head back up. Goldlewis, however, was already in motion. With the coffin held before him he thundered forward, running like his life depended on it.

As the zombie swung for him he leaped into the air and rammed the coffin into its head, end-first. The mighty blow counterhit the wretch and knocked it backward, and as it fell Goldlewis tensed himself mid-air. A golden disc appeared behind Secretary of Defense, and with a heave he pushed off it to perform an airdash right over his fallen foe, putting its bulk between himself and the Witch Doctor. Yoshitsune, he figured, was close enough to keep them occupied. He, meanwhile, needed to deal with Daisy, or even trying to fight fair would end in getting shot. He inverted himself as he fell to deliver a heavy drop attack that forced Daisy back into the cover of the prison cell. No doubt she planned to sprint out of reach and plug him full of holes the moment he stepped through the doorway and made himself an easy target.

Instead, Goldlewis reached over and slammed the cell door shut. A quick turn and yank of the key trapped Daisy inside. As she realized her error a string a vehement curses assailed him, and bullets flew through the bars, but for now Goldlewis could ignore her. He and Yoshitsune had the Witch Doctor and her hulking friend surrounded.

"It's not cockiness if it's fact," Yoshitsune replied to his ally's statement. He was blown back by the hound exploding but was able to flip in the air to land on his feet. Seeing the undead human, the samurai rushed passed it, aiming to decapitate it as he did. This time, as he swung at the Witch Doctor, his aim was to disarm her in a literal sense, assuming for her biceps.

If Yoshitsune expected to carve through the Gargantuan like butter and kill him with a single slice, he would be disappointed. At the very least his blade didn't stick in the aberration's throat, allowing him to pull his weapon free in order to duck out of the way of a wild counterattack and target the Witch Doctor directly. Put on the back foot, the shaman hurled a jar of spiders that shattered against his cuirass as he approached, releasing its leggy contents to squirm wildly as they flew through the air, but Yoshitsune was undeterred. The Witch Doctor held tight to her last jar in an effort to smash it against her enemy's helmet, both stunning him with its blunt force and giving her minions a chance to bite his face, but a quick slice buried Yoshitsune's katana in her upper arm. She screamed as the blade's flame cauterized the wound, and the spider jar fell to smash at her feet. Another attack could end this.

At that moment, however, the Gargantuan made Yoshitsune regret underestimating it. From behind the huge zombie seized the samurai by the arm and the head, squeezing his in its crushing grip. If he didn't think fast he would be mashed to a pulp inside his own armor.

With the gargantuan coming from behind and the Witch Doctor injured, Yoshitsune had thought of a plan. Being a bit too slow, however, got him grabbed. When he swung his blades, he aimed to dismember the giant zombie's hand, hoping to at least loosen its grip.

Instead of aiming for the other wrist, though, he aimed for his armor straps. Freeing his arm, he was able to get a better chance at destroying the other wrist. With a leap, he kicked at the Witch Doctor's stomach. Standing over her, he waited for the monster.

In a stroke of genius Yoshitsune managed to escape the Gargantuan's clutches without debilitating injury to his arm, but his priorities still lay elsewhere. The Witch Doctor, forced to keep one hand on her wounded bicep, held onto her staff with the last of her strength, and it certainly wasn't enough to stop a heavy boot to her midsection. She crumpled, wheezing, but victory did not belong to Yoshitsune just yet. Wrists intact or not, the Gargantuan behind him swung its massive limbs and walloped Yoshitsune end over end--this wasn't an enemy that he could afford to ignore.

Before the monster could stomp on the downed samurai, Goldlewis appeared. He went low and thrust out a leg to sweep the zombie's own, and as it fell his coffin came down in a meteoric Behemoth Typhoon. It slammed into and caved in the Gargantuan's chest cavity, but the thing still wasn't dead. Never one for half-measures, Goldlewis planted the coffin and slid it open. A half-dozen long, cosmic arms extended from within to grab the zombie's head, and together they began to pull. Already loosened by Yoshitsune's slash, and poorly anchored in necrotic flesh, the vile head began to slide free. A good hack from a sharp blade would be all it took to part ways with its grisly neck.

Yoshitsune smirked as he stood over the Witch Doctor, listening to the thudding footsteps of the Gargantuan behind him. At the last second, he leapt. Not quite fast enough, though, as his wheels were hit, causing the man to spin in the air before crashing down by the Wood doctor. He grabbed her, hiding her above him and between him and the Gargantuan. "You can control it, call it off."

As the samurai saw the blond man taking it down, he tossed her to the side. Since it seemed it was almost a headless Gargantuan, he rushed as fast as he could, slicing through the monster's neck.

Blazing steel slid through rotting ligaments and separated bone, cleanly finishing the job Yoshitsune started earlier. The alien hands relinquished their grip to disappear back where they came from, and as the Gargantuan decomposed Goldlewis loosened his collar with a heavy exhale. Now that the troublesome Witch Doctor had been dealt with at last and Daisy confined, his part in the battle seemed to be over. Still, Yoshitsune could use some healing and antivenom, and Goldlewis himself needed a break. Still, a few enemies remained, and both combatants readied themselves for any further surprises.

Instead of relaxing, though, the samurai approached the wounded woman. He sheathed one blade but rested the other by the Witch Doctor's neck as he grabbed the staff from her. "I told you to surrender." If she refused to let go or fought to get her staff back, he'd try to finish removing the arm he injured.

With the water on the floor, Yoshitsune didn’t have quite the mobility he wanted with his wheels. Choosing to lock them and run as he used to, his onslaught continued, though he did manage to block or dodge most of the fireballs coming at him. A few hits in less-lethal places, mainly his arms and legs, left him able to fight but not unscathed.

With a roar of rage, the samurai ran as fast as he could at the caster, head tilted low, seeming to aim for a ram with his helmet. Instead, at the last second, he froze, turning all the momentum from his dash into thrusts from his blades, aiming for the caster in the center of his chest and center of his abdomen. He didn’t expect his plan to work out completely, as he hadn’t kept his eyes on the sorcerer and didn’t know if he’d moved or not. It was an all-or-nothing attack, one that he knew he’d never have used before coming to this strange world.

Whether the attack hit or not, he’d jump back, giving himself enough time to dodge the mage’s next attack if he wasn’t defeated yet, and take a look at the others who joined him in the room.

Hot hail rained down across Yoshitsune's helmet and back, but the Samurai powered through, undeterred. Charnok attempted to defend himself by interposing his staff between his assailant and himself, which might have blocked a headbutt but didn't help a whole lot against thrusts. He took both stabs, and though the fire that surrounded the katanas showed no sign of hurting him, it was clear Yoshitsune left a mark. Of course, charging headlong into a flamethrower set the samurai on fire too, and he jumped back into the water to put himself out.

Charnok didn't give him a chance to check on the others just yet. The dragon mage cast a spread of fireballs before renewing a shower of Hot Hail, the red-hot stones failing all around the samurai. In addition a fair amount of blunt force, Yoshitsune's metal armor was starting to heat up, and would burn his skin terribly if allowed to get much hotter.

With the stones falling and heating his armor, Yoshitsune was definitely in dire straights. He allowed himself to fall back into the water, keeping only his face above the surface, as his swords blocked and parried most of the stones, though he did focus his defense over his vital areas, taking a few searing burns to his arms and legs again.

With his quick thinking, he lifted his wheels just enough to not touch the floor below the water before spinning them as fast as he could in reverse, causing water to splash over the dragon mage, hopefully causing enough of a distraction, for the samurai to leap back into an attack, slashing his left sword for his opponent's neck. He expected it to be blocked. Immediately, he thrust his right blade straight for the beast-man's heart.(edited)

From the pool below the fountain came a front of water, aimed for Charnok. Seeing it both annoyed and amused him--did this swordsman think that such an attack would hurt him because he manipulated fire? He allowed himself to be doused without complaint, only closing his eyes for a moment to keep the sudden spurt out of his eyes. Once he opened them he saw Yoshitsune jumping up onto the carved stone of the fountain, using each tier as a footstool to reach the topmost section where Charnok waited. As he approached the dragon mage toasted his foe with another flamethrower, then broke sideways so he wasn't facing Yoshitsune head-on. The samurai came at him with both swords in sequence once more, this time a slash into thrust. Knowing he wouldn't be able to block well anyway, Charnok decided he'd try and make his foe back off, so once he blocked the first strike he swung the other way with his staff. Yoshitsune's katana pierced Charnok's chest one more, but got nowhere near the heart before the mage's staff clonked him in the side of the head. Charnok then cast a spell, causing orange circles to appear on the fountain around him. A moment later they burst upwards in geysers of flame.

Yoshitsune barely landed on his wheels after the sudden and disorienting thwonk to his head. "Put away that wretched maho and fight like a true warrior!" he called to the mage above him. Once the flaming pillars began to erupt, the samurai didn't have many options except dodge quickly and stay mobile. It was time to go on the defensive. Let his opponent attack, allowing him the chance to parry and counter. He just had to get him to that point. "Or is the tiny lizard too afraid?" Egging him into attacking couldn't hurt too much. His wheels itched to move, to go on the offense. He held them back.

The samurai's new strategy quickly evidenced a flaw. Though Charnok happily gave in to the taunts and launched his attack, he was happy to stay parked right on top of the high ground and sling down fireballs from afar. No matter how annoyed he got, the sorcerer would not just throw himself into melee combat he was ill-suited for.

Yoshitsune stayed on the defense, dodging or blocking most attacks. It wasn't too long before he had an idea. Using the same trick with the water, he figured he'd blind the mage temporarily before finding a sneaky place to hide. Using the statues as a cover, out of the sorceror's line-of-sight, he figured it was the safest spot. He'd used a similar strategy against Kagekiyo when he tried to make himself a god. Why shouldn't it work here? He just had to wait for the unsuspecting dragon mage to climb down.

Eventually the samurai seemed to have his fill of fireballs and, after another big splash, circled around the fountain to hide behind the statues. Charnok snorted and moved forward to get a better angle. "Can't hide from me, human!" he growled. A devilish idea came to mind, and with a toothy grin he readied his staff."Gotcha cornered now!" With a flick of his staff he brought down another Hot Hail to bombard Yoshitsune's current position. As the fiery stones hit the water they threw up enough steam to quickly make a giant smokescreen, and while Yoshitsune hunkered down Charnok began to summon a meteor to obliterate his foe from above. A moment later if fell, and with a mighty explosion wiped away steam and statue alike. "Grahaha! Hail, yes!"

As soon as the area began filling up with steam, Yoshitsune knew what was about to happen, a large, focused attack. He'd been seen in that spot but hadn't noticed it until the falling rocks. With as much speed and stealth as he could muster, he ran behind the dragon mage, jumped right as the giant meteor impacted, and landed on Charnok's back, both blades pressed against his throat. "Maho-oni," he spat before aiming to decapitate his foe.

The very second Charnok felt the unexpected weight hit his back and the unknown words hit his ear, the mage panicked and enacted his emergency measures. As Yoshitsune's blades descended to the ground beneath, Charnok exploded, launching both himself and his unwelcome rider. The sudden burst of force saved his life, turning certain death into a mortal injury, and well before the dragon reached the peak of his rocket jump a golden magic circle whisked him away. Yoshitsune was left alone in midair, the knee-deep water of the pool not quite enough to break a fall.

Yoshitsune landed with a roll. Looking around, he saw no sign of the dragon mage. It took him only a second to see his allies were still in their battle. “I hate maho users,” he grumbled to himself.

With a light jog, he was soon close enough to the other battle that he could join, though still far enough away to not get hit by any stray attack. “Need a hand?” he asked, twirling one of his swords, seeming both bored and annoyed.

Yoshitsune had watched as the teen boy and the adolescent girl both got the Friend Hearts, like the one he’d gotten, and their entire demeanor changed. Shortly after, it seemed Laharl was trying to pick a fight with the grey haired teen. Where he’d come from, the samurai didn’t know.

Then they split the team. Yoshitsune didn’t really care but he was getting mentally exhausted after the events of the day. He was hopeful, though doubtful, that he’d get some rest soon.

Following Kan-Ra, Yoshitsune let his mind wander, though his engines allowed him to keep up with the man. His thoughts, as always, ended up on Shizuka. Looking towards the sun, though through his closed eyes, he made a promise that he would defeat Galeem and rescue Shizuka.

Upon arriving at the temple, Yoshitsune took a look at the area. It was interesting. He didn’t really understand any of it other than the fact it was similar to Shukenten’s shrine.

Following the rest down, he wasn’t really paying attention when they were attacked by a fireball. He wasn’t fast enough and took a direct hit. With a yell of anger, he revved his engines and rushed as fast as he could at the mage who cast the fireball. “Fight with honor, maho-oni!”

He wasn’t quite fast enough, however, as both Skull and Panther took swings at him, pushing him back.

The swordsman still pushed on, leaping once he was close and spinning rapidly, his blades making him appear as a flaming tornado, as he headed straight for the mage.

The two cyborgs approached to finish him off.

Yoshitsune looked to the torch just out of his reach. With a swift and fluid movement, he kicked his wheels over his head, using the momentum to get upright again with a bit more distance. Tora and Poppi had shown up, along with some of the others, and the fight wad more fair. It was then he noticed something on his hips. Looking down, he smiled and drew the new swords that had seemingly appeared from nowhere.

He doubted the flaming weapons would do too much damage to the cyborg but was still glad to have something better than the torch to fight with.

Instead of waiting for Daemon to get closer, Yoshitsune rushed at him, aiming one blade for his opponent's head and the other for his shins. There'd be no way to block them both.

Taken by surprise, Daemon could only bring his blade into a poor block by the time Yoshitsune's double strike came down on him. He barely managed to obstruct the fiery sword meant for his cranium, resulting in most of the force still being transmitted through the sword. That plus the blow to his leg forced him away, wheeling backward. With his dander up he threw out a reckless fading slash to try and catch his opponent's follow-up, the multicolored arc of his Graffiti Blade cleaved through empty air.

Yoshitsune took a step forward, feigning the same attack, only to reverse into a spin to come from the other side, adding for Daemon's head and thigh this time.

Although addled enough to for Daemon to fall for the feint and block left, Yoshitsune's maneuver involved a full back-turn spin, which gave his foe enough time to adapt. He ducked backward out of the way of the samurai's double attack, allowing the somewhat reckless attack to overswing, then lunged forward with a rising diagonal slice. His blade's colorful trail turned in a spiral as he then looped his weapon downward into a falling diagonal slice, creating an X of spattered paint. From there Daemon leaped into a brutal somersault slash to divide the X in half, and if Yoshitsune didn't think fast, split him like timber.

With his swords raised in an X, Yoshitsune was easily able to block the attack, though that left him unable to attack with the burning blades. Instead, he kicked Daemon in the chest, following up with a flaming X slash of his own towards his opponent's chest.

When kicked, Daemon allowed himself to be pushed away to minimize the damage and also get out of the reach of an attempted combo. As he fell back he activated Stealth, disappearing from sight once again.

Yoshitsune frowned at the stealth, using the chance to consume a Kurama herb. Here closed his eyes, listening through the sounds of battle for Daemon. He'd have to attack sooner or later.

As the swordsman concentrated, he detected an onrushing object. When he turned to face it, however, he found it to be a brick, taken from one of the nearby warehouse shelves and hurled his way as a makeshift projectile. Daemon himself was nowhere to be seen, but a second later another brick flew at Yoshitsune from another angle.

With the flaming swords, the samurai was easily able to slash the bricks ot of the air. Keeping track of where they were flying from, he tried to see where Daemon was gonna come from next.

Each chunk of stone carried a lot more mass and force than the elegantly slim swords Yoshitsune elected to try and hit them with rather than dodging, and each one 'slashed' dealt a portion of durability damage to the flaming weapons. Nevertheless, his awareness allowed him to spot the three bricks falling toward him from above in quick succession, demanding his attention to avoid his helmet getting caved in.

With a quick jump forward, the bricks were dodged. With a high jump and a few points along the wall as steps, Yoshitsune joined Daemon in the rafters. "Fight honorably with your blade," he said, taking his stance again.

For a moment Yoshitsune faced nothing but silence. It lasted long enough to make him wonder if he hadn't guessed wrong, and that his adversary employed some sort of trick to make it seem as through he'd thrown his projectiles from up high. With all the noise down below he couldn't hear any telltale traces of footsteps. Then out of nowhere a cloud of aerosol paint blossomed in his face, copiously imbrued with soporific chemicals. As Yoshitsune struggled to resist the urge to sleep Daemon brought his leg up and delivered a weighty kick, returning the favor from earlier and then some. "You were annoying," he Daemon told his enemy as he fell from the warehouse's heights. "So long."

Yoshitsune took the kick, letting himself fall in a way where he'd land on his wheels. "Enough of your dirty tricks!" he yelled angrily. "Have some honor when you fight a samurai!" He used another Kurama herb, thinking about how Daemon attacked his with the... Yoshitsune didn't know what it was. Some type of poisonous gas? "Kamui!" he called, activating the first level of the ability.

Daemon's lips curled in anger beneath his mask. He leaped from his vantage point, grabbing hold of a tall shelf's corner strut to slow his fall, and descended toward Yoshitsune with his Graffiti Blade at the ready

Just as Daemon got close enough, Yoshitsune activated the second level of Kamui, showing his perception of time more, giving him a better view of his opponent's openings. He thrust one sword for Daemon's face, using that as a distraction to hold his other sword at the other swordsman's neck.

On the way down Daemon readied himself to deliver a broad slice when Yoshitsune came at him, but he didn't anticipate the perception and precision allotted by Kamui, especially since the samurai didn't call his technique out loud. The tip of one blazing katana stabbed into and managed to get through the gang leader's fearsome mask, piercing and burning his cheek. He roared with pain and his blade flashed from one side to the other, giving him some room to land. Daemon took hold of his weapon with both hands and lunged forward, calling upon Shift, to bring himself close enough for a whirlwind spin attack.

Surprising himself with the damage to Daemon's mask, Yoshitsune was a lot more level-headed than his opponent. As Daemon tried to do three spin attack, Yoshitsune swung his blade for Daemon's forearm, hoping to disarm him.

Perhaps not anticipating the follow-through of the Shift Strike technique, the samurai attempted to counterattack with the spin still in progress. When the blades collided Yoshitsune's got deflected, and there was only so much he could do with his other sword before the Shift Strike scored a good hit across his chest. Daemon came to a stop and hopped back. "Getting cocky? Die already!" He moved forward, ready to deliver the fight's final stroke. As he ran in he scraped the Graffiti Blade across the ground, throwing up a a spray of sparks and paint. Behind the haze he drew his sword into an iaido position, focused his strength, and finally unleashed a speedy draw slash to cut right through the veil and the man behind it. The move left him open, but in his mind Yoshitsune was too wounded to deal with it, making this the killing stroke.

Yoshitsune gasped as he stumbled backwards. "That's a strong attack," he smirked, gripping hits swords tightly. As he made the mist, Yoshitsune saw his plan to cut through him. The gash in his armor wouldn't protect him. He quickly and quietly got low, nearly laying on the ground. After Daemon's slash, Yoshitsune stood with a rising slash for Daemon's torso.

Yoshitsune's blade split Daemon's corded belt and ripped upward through his paint-stained hoodie, only stopping as it struck the underside of the man's mask. His hat flew off as he reeled backward, stunned by the impact. His fist still clenched around the hilt of his weapon, but the samurai had another moment to execute a follow-up attack that would make all the difference.

With all his strength and speed, Yoshitsune pushed Daemon to the wall, one sword against his neck, the other against the wrist he held his graffiti sword with.

Though backed into a corner, Daemon's resolve did not falter. With Galeem's influence in his heart he couldn't surrender, not so long as a drop of fight remained in him. But as Yoshitsune entrapped him, his eyes involuntarily slid to the lightshow spooling up a few meters away. That little girl was awash in magic, a vast destructive power building around her, and Daemon could only watch as a wave of explosions radiated outward from her to fill the warehouse, swallowing everyone in its pyrotechnic fury.

Yoshitsune landed a ways away from where he'd had Daemon pinned to the wall. The other swordsman seemed to have escaped. Standing, though in pain, he made his way towards the others. It didn't take him long to notice healers had come, as well as some police, and most of his friends seemed to be heading towards them. Swords sheathed, he moved to the closest healer who wasn't working on anyone else. "The masked swordsman escaped," he groaned angrily. "I have a feeling we'll see him again."
