Current I'm a pretty good writer and former site staff; I still deal with imposter syndrome every time I log on. You're definitely not alone. And t's worth trying anyway.

I just finished The Secret History, a very Gen X book. Never Let Me Go before that, which I'd recommend to any writer outside the MFA atmosphere who wants to know emotonal restraint.

I'm interested in joining. Thinking about creating an Imperial officer, either actually loyal to the Council or going warlord. Would that be ok?

Yup!

Cassandra Cain is a young woman of mixed heritage, though one could say her mother’s Asian ancestry ended up being more apparent when it came to Cassandra’s appearance. Beyond that, Cassandra has the physicality that outdoes many of her contemporaries and allies due to the sheer fact that she has been consistently put through training since she was able to walk – her constitution and physique predating her career as a vigilante and heroine.

Cassandra Cain was born as the byproduct of the plans of David Cain in an attempt to prove himself worthy to the League of Shadows after several disappointing engagements against the superhero known as The Batman. Ultimately, Cassandra's birth was the result of fate; the leader of the League of Shadows, Ra’s al Ghul, had slowly lost faith in her father's abilities as an agent of the league and was beginning to wonder if the man had outlived his usefulness. Knowing the lackluster reputation he had garnered, David decided to attempt to redeem himself through a new form of training he had designed; the idea of grooming the perfect weapon for the league in the form of his daughter, Cassandra.

For over a decade, David’s plans seemed to be successful. Taught to read people and react to them based on their movements and body language over vocal communication, by eight years old she was already physically and mentally on another level entirely than many others – including some longtime members of the league. As these experiences developed David reported constantly back to Talia al Ghul who served as the immediate supervisor of his training methods; the only member of the league’s inner circle that looked to his efforts with a modicum of interest and not the pathetic attempts of a failing, ineffective, veteran agent. However, unbeknownst to him Talia was recording her own thoughts on his methods for her own personal reasons. What Talia was taking into account remained obscure to him as he focused continuously on molding Cassandra into the living weapon to serve the league and allow him entrance back into the inner circle of the league. But unfortunately, upon his daughter’s tenth birthday he decided to initiate her graduation from child to assassin; a judgement that would change Cassandra’s life forever.

Deciding to test her abilities in the real world, David took his daughter on an expedition to the United States where he would direct his daughter into performing a hit for the league. Being a child of her mindset, Cassandra has no idea what killing was and participated as if it was just another one of her father’s games. After executing the target, she perceived his death as he did – the instinctive and perceptive manner of her upbringing allowing her to understand what had just happened. For the first time in her life she felt dread and disgust. Before her father knew it, Cassandra had abandoned him and run away.

Her instincts however had severe consequences; for the first time in Cassandra’s life she was now alone, a fact that was accompanied by feelings of guilt and self-loathing as the feeling of her first victim still remained on her conscience. Her father had abandoned her like she had abandoned him, leaving her to die in the urban sprawl as an orphan as he returned to the league empty-handed and betrayed. However, despite being only ten years old, Cassandra was diligent and unafraid. Despite being in a situation she had no idea how to navigate, nothing could be more terrifying and repulsive than what she had been forced to experience. She pushed forward, moving from city-to-city and home-to-home, taking only what she needed to survive.

Eventually, she came to Gotham and found herself meeting with the one man that was her old family’s sworn nemesis, the superhero that stalked the shadows and rooftops as the caped crusader – The Batman. She was now thirteen years old.

Soon enough she found she had a new family and a new purpose, though she often remained hidden from those involved with Batman directly. Cassandra found new purpose as a covert agent of The Batman, though her responsibilities often led her to cooperate and work with other superheroes such as Robin (Tim Drake). However, before Batman disappeared he gave her a final, important, and non-contestable mission. To watch over Damian and ensure his survival.

Acrobatics: Cassandra is not the equal of Dick Grayson, but she is still quite proficient in using her athleticism to move through the environment with speed and precision.

Body Reading Ability: Perhaps the most unique asset of Cassandra’s skillset is her ability to read people through body language. A byproduct of her father’s unique method of training her in preparation for her future as an agent of the League of Shadows, Cassandra was taught to listen and observe before she was allowed to learn to talk. The consequence of this training resulted in Cassandra having an intuitive way to reacting and perceiving people through their body language.

Hand-to-Hand Combat: Cassandra’s skills in hand-to-hand combat is extraordinary; Batman himself has mentioned that the young woman is beyond comparison and that despite his years of experience honing his talents that he would lose in a contest of pure skill. This comes as no surprise knowing that Cassandra was bred as a living weapon to serve the League of Shadows and that she has essentially been training since she could walk.

Marksmanship: Cassandra has a distaste for firearms, but is adept with the principles behind them as well as conventional throwing weapons including kunai, shuriken, and batarangs.

Stealth: As a byproduct of her conditioning as an agent of the League of Shadows, when Cassandra wants to be heard, she is heard; when she doesn’t, she isn’t. Few are able to tell when she is in the same room as them, less alone on a busy street at night.

Swordplay: Cassandra was trained in swordplay by the League of Shadows in their attempt to groom her into the perfect agent to serve the Demon’s Head. She could survive an encounter with those trained in the weapon.

Simple yes!

^_^
.... It gives, he would still do a LOT but you get my point.

Also wanted to ask, is Zann Consortium allowed to exist? Was thinking of a story line where I join their ranks.

Yup. You're more than allowed to bring such things into existence. :D
I'd like to ask, the equipment and abilities that we mentioned in the bio are not EVERYTHING that we are allowed to have, right? I mentioned only the most essential but not nearly everything. I mean, imagine Boba Fett with only his suit and blaster on him.

Right.
@Ruby

I will be taking up a second since Jason isn't really involved. But her CS is not done. Just letting you know while I finish some posts this morning.

k :D

Welcome to the Guild!
Heard from Red Bear and Blood Echoes today; they were visiting each other IRL! Explains the absence, both expressed a desire to stay in the RP so look for posts from them soon, hopefully.

Still might add a few people.
For a beat of the heart longer than any beat she was certain Casey had ever experienced in his life, Emy Vance just stared at him. A beat, and then her face eased into a coy little smile, a playful light alive in her pretty brown eyes. In this state of anticipation and slight confusion, Emy left Casey, letting him dangle in the void, nearlye very set of eyes in the class watching the interaction. One beat became two, two became three, and three threatened to develop into an eternity--before suddenly she took the pen easily as she might pluck a flower. "Emy. Emelia Vance, if you want the full name. I heard your name earlier, when you and the gang were talking. Wouldn't be much of a Wonder Woman if I couldn't hear through solid doors."

A wink, and her thumb was clicking the pen fast as a robot after a line of coke. One, two, three, four, five, six--each faster than a second, twisting the pen clockwise in her hand, then counter-clockwise; all it no more than a blue than to his eyes, or to the eyes of anyone else watching. Before Chad Johnson could even look her direction again, she stepped closer into Casey, and used his table to begin to fill out her worksheet. Jigsaws, circular saws, braces, power jointer, rasps, files, block plane, etc, etc, etc.

After little more than five minutes her entire worksheet was filled out, and she was handing the pen back to Casey. She looked up just in time to get a look from Chad Johnson was again, and to catch a few other boys from across the room looking her way. To the one with the sneer, she just blinked. To the one with the shaggy hair and the antisocial expression of fear and hope, she offered the slightest of smiles before immediately turning her attention back to the boy next to her, and the boy seated just in front of him, before Chad muttered something and began to move around the room with the kid he'd been muttering to earlier.

Friends, and all, it seemed. At least friends of convenience.

Emy motioned with a nod of her head towards the back wall of the Woodshop, Casey seemed to get the hint, she wasn't sure if his friend Danny did, or not, but they would see. And as the class began to organically break up into groups, it was good she had someone to pair with. Someone that wasn't completely fucking awkward. Danny seemed a little awkward, but Emy couldn't really blame him: seeing the monster wasn't a fun experience. Emy found herself wondering if Danny imagined what it was like to look into the mirror, and have to see it.

She wondered if any of them imagined that.

She imagined what it was like to be one of them. To be fighting "the good fight" without the supernatural abilities and senses, without the dreams and visions that came to Emy constantly. Prescott told her that she seemed to have more of the visions and dreams than other Slayers he had known, or read up on. She experienced entire memories that weren't her own. She lived entire days in her sleep, days that didn't belong to her, clips of lives of long dead young girls. When Casey gravitated with her towards the back of her class, she handed him her completed worksheet, and the pen.

"I'm done. I've worked with wood before, go figure. Copy it, you won't learn the tools in a single class period copying names down on a worksheet. It's busy work, and anyway, I'd rather you told me how everyone from your group is doing today. Last night wasn't fun. Knowing they're actively hunting you back and trying to kill you is doubley not fun."
I am now a co-GM. This is a terrible idea.

Shit. Right.

Inky is now the Co-GM for this game. I'll keep my focus on storylines and helping people with the IC, Inky is the gatekeeper, and will be the Czar of CS Processing. If Inky declines your CS, or asks you to adjust something, treat as if it came from me. I will not overrule him.

Good luck!
