Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Ah, and here she thought today was going to be oh so boring. Ever since she had to join this little merry band of so called assassins her days had gotten considerably much more boring. She wasn't able to have any fun like she was able to before Kestrel 'Recruited' her. Such a pity, really. Boredom was the mind killer, and she had been experiencing that in droves. She'd just have to make the best of it though. Wasn't like she had much of a choice in the matter. She'd just have to get her satisfaction and...pleasure from little incidents like this.

Needless to say, that made the events unfolding before her sweet as honey.

She listened with rapt attention, wearing a small obviously amused smile as one bird of prey was hunted by the other. It wasn't often she got this form of entertainment, and she was going to savor it. Of course, she also needed to make sure she kept a mental note of things that were being said. Kestrel's name, for example. Ian. Ah, information, how sweet were you to her ears. Ah, and something about two of their agents going missing. Couldn't forget that, no no. Likely dead then. Or they flew the coup, so to speak. Tsk tsk, naughty little birds in that case. Perhaps it'd be quite amusing to go on a hunt herself. She could use a change of pace from the usual work...

When the confrontation was over, Merlin came storming out, obviously both upset and quite angry. She flashed the entire group of gathered assassins a hostile glare, causing quite a number of them to either flinch or snarl in response. Owl simply made a point of adjusting the surgical gloves she was wearing, and a fairly comically bad attempt to act like she had not been listening to the tirade. As she left, Owl simply whistled under her breath.

"And here I thought today was going to be boring." She chuckled in a lighthearted voice as Kestrel pointed to her, Fledgling, and Pigeon. It was a good thing she was wearing a coat or she might have gotten a bit of a chill. That aside, it was a bit of an interesting set up, if she had to say so. She didn't know much about the other two assassins, though she liked to think that she was one of the more experienced ones in the group. Not that it really mattered. Ones position and an organization and skill often had little to do with the other. She walked into Kestrels office, taking a seat in the first chair she could get her butt into.

"First class entertainment! You certainly still know how to treat a girl to surprises, Kestrel. All you need now is a fancy dinner and this'll be a date." She chuckled, giving the man a friendly smile. "Here I thought I was getting a little old for your tastes. Glad to see you're still willing to treat this old Owl to a bit of fun every now and then, heh~" She laughed, obviously amused by this entire situation. But, of course, they were here for a reason. As amusing as it'd be to mess with him a little, that would likely not be welcome in his current mood. Or perhaps it would be? Well, either way she wanted to know what was happening.

"So," She folded her arms against her chest as she gave Kestrel a small smirk. "Where we going and what are we having? I'm bored and could use a good bit of fun."
@KiwiBaer

Ho boy~

Just starting and everything is already gonna be tons of fun, I can tell~

I'll see if I can have a post up in a timely fashion later this evening.
@Leoven

Hm~

seems like it could be fun.

Color me interested. I think I know what sort of character I'll already be making.
~Livia~

"Oho, caught that did you?" Livia chuckled. "Fia, dear, I do believe I told you I would have rather you choose someone else when you chose me." The headmistress sighed with a small smile. "I am quite old, Fia, much older than I look. Magic can only keep one alive for so long - I've lived well past my time, but enough of that." Livia stood, getting out of the water with a tired yawn.

"Ugh, here I was hoping for a day off and all I get is the usual..." She grunted, walking out of the pool. "Come then, Fia. If you wish to learn more - why not visit the Library? I'll make sure Miren knows you are coming and she can help you find something." For now, she just wanted to return home and sit in the study and maybe do some reading...

~Cynthia~

Something Mugi could do? Well, Cynthia couldn't think of anything. She was the one who had to take care of people and think of things she could do. She was simply fine with doing that herself. It was a little...odd, being asked if there was something someone could do for her. Not unwelcome, but she had simply never encountered the situation before and wasn't sure how to handle it.

"...Dinner. This weekend. I will cook."

Was that a date again? That sounded awfully like a date.

~Miren~

Eith didn't sound too convincing, but Miren would just have to take her word for it, wouldn't she? With a slight sigh of relief the chimera rested her chin on the table.

"Waaah, that's a relief. Doggies are so mean to little bunny bun. Always trying to nibble on my buns or chase me. It's not fun." Honestly though, Miren was a bit exhausted after all of this. She could go for a nice warm bath...or just getting back to her work. Either would be fine. "Ah, uhm, thanks for the food, Eith." Miren said, hopping out of her chair. "I need to get back to work though...uhm, maybe stop by the library later if I'm not busy."

She was going to 100% regret that, but it was only polite to offer. With that, Miren started to leave.
Right, there ya go. just a final word from Nebet.

Now I'ma go pass out.
~Nebet~

Nebet inwardly sighed but for the most part kept a passive, slightly cold expression as she stood from her bow. Zamonth was simply proving everyone right with that little antagonistic speech of his. If it had been a few years ago, she'd have shoved this Fan Axe so far up his backside he'd be wishing that he was the one being ripped limb from limb by a desert monster. In fact, she sort of still wanted to. It'd be funny, but that would only antagonize him further. Besides, if he thought of her as a weak little bird or something - then that was fine. She'd prove that she was not in time.

Now though, she kept her mouth firmly shut. No need to add any more flames to the fire for now...but it was clear Zamonth might be a problem. Pharaoh's friend or not, there was a certain character a good ruler needed in his Viziers...and Zamonth was anything but that from what she could see.

The priestess let Qar perform his introduction. At least another one in the room seemed to have some sense out of everyone gathered. He even posed a...well, a small solution. It wasn't much of one, to be honest. True, Pharaohs had the right to appoint anyone they wished as their advisers. Typically they were inherited, given according to skill, and often times drawn from the royal family or close associates. Zamonth though, was different. He was a foreigner and an outsider. There would surely be those of the court that wouldn't approve of such things...

And then Satiah had to go and open her mouth. Oh joy, wonderful. Things were just getting better and better.

"Vizier Satiahs...bluntness aside, Vizier Qar is quite correct. If you appoint Zamonth to a position as Vizier then there shall likely not be any immediate problems. That said, you must also take into account what other members of the court would think of appointing an outsider such as he. Plus, he does not appear to be...all that popular. If I may express my opinion, giving him the title of Vizier would quite likely anger a number of people and could very well invite trouble." Nebet bowed her head slightly. "But, you are Pharaoh and if it is your desire then it is not my place to try and stop you. I simply urge you to think of the kingdom as a whole and what would be good for it - the court is yours to use as you wish, but you must be aware that even the most loyal hound can turn on its master if the conditions are correct. Less honorable members of the court will not sit idly by while something they find...disagreeable happens."

Feeling she had said enough on the matter, Nebet silenced herself, deciding to let the young Amenhotep do as he wished now. She was only an advisor after all, she had done what she could. It was up to the young Pharoah to use his own best judgement at this point.
Ehh~

I can get up a small post with Nebet before I head off for the night~

I feel like she'd say something to both Zamonth and Amenhotep here after Satiah's and Qar's introduction.

Unless you want to go ahead and post, Blu feel free.
~Livia~

"Hmph, angry are we Fia?" Livia replied with a small smile. "I assure you, I did not put you through that with ill intent. Sometimes to get something out of life, you need to do something whether you like it or not. Some of the most worthwhile things one could achieve are ones you suffer for. You just need to be careful not to injure yourself in the process." Clearing her throat, Livia turned her head back to the water.

"You want answers, little Fia? Who are you...that answer should be obvious. You are Fia, are you not? And you are my familiar for the moment, however short of a time span that might be." Livia's smile faded a little, as she turned back to Fia. "Now, who you were and what you are are entirely two different things. You know that humans can not be familiars, correct? So what does that make you, then?"

As much as Livia would answer the questions, she also would like Fia to work out the answers herself. Nothing in life was simply given, and Livia could - and would if the girl could not find an answer herself within a timely manner, but for now...there was no need for Livia to do such a thing. The girl had a good head on her shoulders, she just needed to use it.

"I-it was nothing." Cynthia replied. As cold as Mugi was, it was nothing to the maid. Yes, her fingers were a bit numb but it would pass quickly. She had been trained by the best, after all...though it wasn't her first time giving someone a massage in cold weather, admittedly. "It is my job, nothing more nothing less. And there is nothing at all you can do for me." She huffed. Really, there wasn't. She was just happy to be able to serve and practice her skills. "But...perhaps I could do it again sometime?"

Cynthia turned her head off to the side, not looking at Mugi directly, as she sank her arms into the water.

~Miren~

Not having anything to do with the woman? That sounded wise, honestly, but...Miren needed to see her. Or at least, speak with her about something. Nothing she wanted to go into too much detail about now, but it was something she wasn't going to change her stance on. Perhaps she should ask the kind Headmistress? She had been most welcoming and did seem quite powerful...but she never wanted to ask because she felt like she'd be imposing upon her when she had already been such a great help.

"I see..." Miren replied quietly. "She's that bad, huh? She'd probably kill my little bunny buns easily then, heh..." Miren chuckled in a somewhat defeated manner. Well, at least the food was good and Eith hadn't eaten her yet...maybe she should ask? The hound didn't seem overly violent...nor had seemed to make any mention of eating her at all. "S-so, uhm, Eith..." She began, a bit nervously. "If you, erm, don't mind me asking...why are you being nice to me? Y-you're not gonna eat me are you?"

The bunny's ears twitched nervously, dreading the answer and expecting it to be an easy 'yes'.
7. Deaths and torture can and will happen

Oh boy time to work on my inner sadist. None shall escape me

Still on the fence about joining, unfortunately. Might wait for a bit and see some of the other characters.

If I do...not entirely sure what I'll be making just yet...But what about Witches? Any info on them? Or are they even a thing?

Might just make the standard Vampire because I is creative.

~Charlotte LaChance~

As a week or two passed - Charlotte lost count somewhere, she had stopped paying attention to the passing of the days and instead, focused on work. Before she could do any heavy and in depth alchemy, she'd need a few things. A place sheltered from the elements, meaning she'd need to build a wall and a front door to her little cavern home here. Some storage space with some preserved items of sorts, some more glass alembics, retorts, flasks...etc, things like that. Eventually getting a Cauldron would be nice as well so she could make things on a larger scale and a few more specialty potions.

In that time, she had managed to make a table, some rope and fairly strong adhesive, and even some paper and some ink to write with so she could keep a log of all the plants and various properties they might have as well as any notes or other thoughts she might have. A small cot had been made as well, towards the edge of the cave -big enough for one- she had just finished that last night, and was going to make a point of not having to share with Cait any more.

For now though, she had to test a small trap of hers. Eating just fruits and vegetables was starting to get rather...annoying. Not to mention, a good diet needed meat of some sort, even a small one. She didn't know what sort of creatures lived here aside from that giant bird, but it was a forest. A forest would have rabbits, would they not? And that stream would likely have fish. Both animals of which could easily provide sustenance, as well as some useful materials...

She had managed to make a Lure, similar to one she'd use back in Astril to catch fresh rabbits - for their fur, mostly back then. Rabbit fur was surprisingly fairly reactive and accepting of changes and other such things. She'd keep the fur, as well as make a fire pit and cook the meat. The Lure itself looked to be a small, sweet smelling powder of some sort. She had found that rabbits - and wildlife in general tended to be attracted to it, but in small quantities like this it shouldn't attract anything big.

She placed the snare on the ground and waited. Thankfully, it wasn't long before a brown furred rabbit was caught in the trap and killed, the stone knife cleanly killing the animal. Charlotte stood, quite happy with her work as she picked up the dead rabbit and resetting the snare. She turned, and started walking back to the cave. She needed to skin it and prepare the meat and eventually build a way to preserve it.

She looked over to Cait who had been watching, showing her the dead rabbit. She'd check the other traps later. She only put up a few of them, so if all went well she'd have caught a good number of rabbits...
