Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Some might have been dismayed by the lack of information from this analysis, but this provided much needed information regardless of what was given. She needed more Analysis skills. She had to find a way to acquire them, but this was a good starting point. Perhaps at higher levels it could tell her what parts on a living creature could be useful. Magic Analysis was mildly more helpful. Lesserwurm. It has some spell skills. Curious, she'd have to ask what it was and if she could potentially learn it herself once a little less pressed for time.

"The usual annoyances of life," Ash replied when asked what happened to Torrent. "Ran into a few pixies, helped me survive the night after that. Dunno what happened to them - they fluttered off, but one was kind enough to give me a crash course in magic. Ran into Reoth and made friends with one of the goblins - another human like us, I believe. Evolved into a Pygmy Drake, negotiated a bit of a...ceasefire with them, but we'd do well not to let our guard down around them for now, and well, here we are." A brief version of events, but it covered the main points.

As she finished, arriving at the others, a chill crept down her reptilian spine. Something felt odd. Not just the fact she still didn't entirely feel comfortable in this lizard body, something else. The feeling of being watched. Pausing and sitting straight up, Ash held her head high, swiveling her neck around at her immediate surroundings. Nothing...? Was she being paranoid? But if this skill was working as intended, then...Ash glanced up at the sky, just barely seeing the shadow of a large, circling creature flying over the forest.

Well, that was certainly not good. She didn't have time to try and use any of her analysis skills, but it was most certainly some sort of predator. She'd need to watch out for it. Lowering her head, Ash let the others look after Mourn as she observed the surroundings. Seemed like all of them were fairly eager to hunt and get started.

"If anyone could bring anything they find to me, I would very much appreciate it." Ash began. "I might be able to make something out of them. Healing items or some such." Glancing over to Ardur, the Pygmy Drake paused. "Well, I supposed perhaps some introductions are in order. I am Ash, for those I have yet to meet." She walked over to Ardur, glancing at his gathered berries and leaves. "Any ideas what these are, Ardur?" Eager to find out what they were and what they did, Ash activated her Alchemy and Magic analysis skills.

Mie Yukima

Mie didn't reply to either Mirt nor Anyon immediately despite their rather funny jabs at each other. No, something was bothering her. Like a little nagging feeling in the back of her head. The fur on her tail stood on end, though she didn't show any outward signs of obvious distress. Had they been discovered? Hm, no, unlikely, then what? Mie turned her gaze towards the road behind them. Weren't being followed. She had learned to trust her gut over the year, but such actions also had to be tempered with reason and caution.

She was about to pass it off as nothing, until another Demi-human threatened them. Something about a stolen cart? For a brief moment, Mie simply stared, seemingly sizing her up, but in an instant, that gut feeling was gone. This kitten wasn't dangerous in the slightest. She relaxed, taking her usual playful smile.

"Fufufu." A laugh. "And here I thought you were an upstanding citizen, Mirt. You break this little foxes heart. Stealing from such an adorable kitten. You should be ashamed." A small tease before addressing Elque. Hopefully he'd let her do the talking. "Apologies for my benefactors carelessness, little kitten. I can assure you we have the best of intentions in erm, borrowing it." Really, she should have gotten her own. Much less troublesome and she had some...insurance policies in there in case things went south.

"We are attempting to swindle some swindlers as it is, and teach some rather nasty humans about how they shouldn't hit innocent women." Walking over to Elque Mie offered her a friendly, playful grin. She didn't seem worried about Elque's hostility at all. "The only little girl here is me, though, heh...but perhaps you would be interested in helping us? I could compensate you for your troubles, if the satisfaction of bringing justice isn't enough."

Unbeknownst to Bradamante, Tania stuck her tongue out at him. Or perhaps he did know? She didn't care too much either way.

Finishing devouring half of the apple, the small Aetheri watched the newcomers with rapt attention. Two humans and an Anubis. Huhu, now he was a rare sight! She had seen a few in her lifetime. Travel for most of your years and you run into all sorts of people and creatures. The younger human looked like she'd be tons of fun, too. What to do, what to do...

Standing on the frame of the painting, Tania stretched, fluttering her wings.

"Alright, lesse...which one of these guys are gonna be the funnest to play with..." The Anubis was automatically out. While messing with him could potentially be fun, it'd probably require a bit of forethought. She had no desire to get bitten by a mutt, so to speak. That left the two humans. The old lady and the younger looking kiddo. The old lady looked pretty dangerous, while the kid looked like she was about as green as grass in the ways of the world. Hm...well, today was a good day to potentially die, heh! Start simple, gauge reactions.

Invisibility was always a fun time, heh! Inhaling, Tania made a simple arcane gesture with her hand.

"Seachmall." A simple spell, for visual illusions. What was the illusion you ask?

A snake slithering up to Asri's leg.

"Katherine...?" Livia released her sister upon receiving not reply, tilting her head curiously. Now, she might have brushed it off as her sister being tired. It had been a long day, after all. She was tired herself, and she had just chugged an entire bottle of alcohol in a rather ungraceful manner. It'd be easy to do that, but it just didn't add up. Katherine was an indecisive womanizer with a streak of getting herself into trouble flirting all the time. She disliked painful things and most certainly loathed doing anything 'bad' or getting into trouble, and messing with things most normal men would find abhorrent...and Katherine had never once turned away from her in all the years they had been together.

If it wasn't from tiredness, drunkenness or a combination of both...then what? It...Livia's shoulders slacked slightly, as she held her hands together behind her. Katherine was obviously under the effects of some sort of enchantment. The classic symptoms were all there. Unfocused attention and seeming lethargy, and certainly that comment earlier about feeling like she had to go do something, but what exactly was causing it? That ribbon on her head? She still didn't like the mention of this Nemuno person. Had Selena done something? This sort of thing was common among those on the path to becoming undead.

So many variables, but she could make an educated guess at least. Inhaling sharply, she couldn't let Katherine out of her sight, but if she was going back to under haven, it'd be difficult to follow. She got rid of her lantern earlier fending off that demon kid, damn it. Ugh, why could things never be easy?!

"...Creme?" The small kitten briefly caught her attention. "How did you...?" It didn't matter. She reached down, picking up the kitten and cradling him in her arms. Right, okay, don't get flustered. Quickly looking at her surroundings before Katherine got too far away, Livia focused back on Petr.

"...Petr." Livia quickly walked back over to the young lad who was previously flirting with her. "Look, I know uh, we probably got off on the wrong foot but I really need your help. Something is really wrong with my, erm, friend and I can't just leave her alone to go off on her own." She kept checking over her shoulder, glancing to make sure she didn't quite lose sight of Katherine. If he took too long to reply or seemed like he wasn't going to take it, she'd just have to take her chances with Underhaven again.
A more traditional EXP based one seems to be pretty easily understandable and the standard.

A more milestone based one could prove interesting. Would perhaps cut back on some number crunching, and maybe feel a little more natural, but that's just from the perspective of someone not used to D&D.

So I'm not too bothered either way, really.

As for the whole gaining new abilities and spells thing, gaining the new stuff during a long rest I feel might be more sensible. That said, being able to gain new abilities during a boss fight for that shounen power up at a key moment is always great.
Isolde

"Oooorgh..." Isolde rubbed the side of her head. "Oof...this is not a comfortable landing spot..." She grumbled, shaking her head. Almost as bad as that time she ran face first into Kergin, heh. Who had she hit though? Didn't seem like anyone familiar or one of the other Grado forces. A foreigner? Not thinking about getting up, Isolde laid on top of him, curiously looking at him for a few seconds. Well, she wasn't dead yet and he did cushion her fall, so he was probably a good guy.

A roar in from her mount brought her quickly back to reality.

"AH!" Before suddenly jumping to her feet as Aldo addressed her. "Kergin!" Without introducing herself or checking on him, she ran after her mount, who was currently attempting to 1v1 some of the enemy troops. She wasn't concerned he'd get hurt, no. He was a tough old Wyvern that could take a beating. Still...they had hurt him.

That was bad.

And if there was one thing that Isolde ever got mad over, was someone hurting her precious little baby dragon.

She ran over to her mount, own halberd in hand. Kergin reared up, preparing to strike the opponent in front of him, and letting Isolde have enough time to jump and grab her saddle from the back. Kergin flared his wings, before lowering his body once more - with Isolde properly on her mount, and brought her own axe right down upon the soldiers head.

Sleep had been a welcome thing. A dreamless sleep that she often had many times before back whens she was human after many multiple days of ceaseless work. With Reoth's help and closeness, she was relatively sure that they would be safe. She doubted the goblins would try anything after the other day, for they would be fools too. Perhaps she was overestimating them, but if she was...then well, she was confident in her ability to handle herself.

The next morning, she really didn't want to wake up. She'd probably have slept a few more hours, if Reoth hadn't woke her up.

"Hrmmph..." Yawning as she felt the shrubbery and sticks being moved off of her, the Pygmy Drake managed to rouse herself, yawning tiredly and stretching as Reoth asked his question. Groggily, she reached up with a claw and brushed the side of her face, momentarily forgetting she didn't have hands to rub her eyes with. "Heading out?..."

As Reoth said, some of the others were quickly moving out. She could already see Mourningstar flitting away in the distance. Oberon quickly joining her as well, and she was pretty sure she saw Ardur up to something too. Now that left her with the question, what were the goblins up to? She held no illusions about trusting them, but she could extend their...business if she potentially had something to show for it. She'd need to work on getting her Alchemy more refined.

"Well, we should probably get going-hmm?" Something caught her eye not far away. A...lizard of some sort? Two arms and lacking any sort of legs. Curious...it was certainly watching her, from what she could tell. Well, perhaps it was time to try something. Now that she was fully rested and not in any danger of getting jumped by something for the moment, she could be a little more loose with her skills and abilities.

Activating Alchemy II to see if any part of the monster might be useful in alchemy, and then Magic Analysis I in case it had some magical properties, she walked over. Come to think of it...didn't this one look vaguely familiar?

"...You wouldn't happen to be one of those Lizards I met a few days ago, would you? We made a Tainted Mana crystal on accident."

The metal ship roared, delivering its payload right into the creature, disintegrating it entirely. The only thing that was left, was the massive earth sundering blade that was left behind, soon to follow in the steps of its victim leaving no trace of their presence. The huntress sighed, her bow vanishing along with the beast, magic completely, and well spent. She wanted to flop down on the deck of the ship and take a nice long nap. Used to, when she still worked on the force, she'd take all of her co-workers drinking after solving a case or two.

"Boy that was tiring...haaa, I wish I could drink..." Rina complained, letting her ever so serious facade drop slightly before quickly returning to her usual demeanor as Amaryllis replied, speaking in her apparently usual and overly dramatic fashion. She couldn't help but to smirk lightly as the Knightess pulled out something out of some sort of...hammer space? Rina narrowed her eyes, curious of where this could be going.

"...A phone?" Rina fell silent as the phone was handed to her. Oh. Oh. She did mention earlier she didn't have a phone, didn't she? She was pretty sure she did. Her face turned a shade of red. Boy this was embarrassing, having someone do something like this. Okay Rina, play it cool. Er, ally. Partner. Yes. Those words. "Uh, thanks. It certainly will make communicating long distances easier."

Annoying.

How many times did they have to die before they realized this was fucking stupid? Were they insane? She was pretty sure they were the literal definition of it. Seriously, what did they think they would accomplish by running headlong into the knife of a trained assassin? Maybe Hiro could handle himself, he seemed fit and trained, but Aerith? That overly masculine walking stero type? Stupid. All of them. Why couldn't they do the smart thing instead of dragging everyone back with their stupidity? Thankfully it seemed like Yuuki was of a similar mindset. At least one of them wasn't completely brain dead.

Walking over to the group, Chieko had lost all patience and any sort of shyness or uncertainty she might have felt as Ashton walked over. They went on to explain the situation fully, not that she needed much more information to come to a conclusion herself.

"..." At first she didn't say anything as he walked back off. Arc villain? Guess who? She didn't have enough information to even make an educated one. She didn't trust that fox in the slightest. She after all, had showed up where they had been ambushed first, hadn't she? Donovan was also suspicious according to the others, but they had too little information to work on. Looking over the others, she probably she step in and say something.

"Hmph." Scoffing loudly, Chieko lowered the scarf from around her mouth. Right, she could do this in a totally normal manner. "You're an awfully presumptuous, disrespectful little maggot aren't you? Begging for my help when you lot can't even empty water out of a boot with instructions on the heel."

Nailed it.

"My two nemesis are correct, as loathe as I am to admit it." Chieko continued, completely lost in her own little head at the moment. "As I have already said, we have very little hope to fend off the assassins of the villainous lord that hunts our heads. Our best option is to make a tactical retreat and regroup." Folding her arms, Chieko looked over to Alistair. "But since I have little hope that you will suddenly do the smart thing, as you'd rather be stuck in a loop of the definition of insanity, the best we can do is thusly - add more variables into the mix." Holding up a hand, Chieko pointed to herself. "We need more information. Someone needs to go to Donovan's and figure out what exactly happened with him. I will volunteer this myself as unlike you all, I am mildly competent at using my brain to think instead of throwing it at a brick wall and hoping it will somehow crumble."

"Hm..." Ceri took a moment to collect her thoughts, walking over to Flavia. "Seven or eight people." Ceri said in a quick, efficient manner bereft of her usual shyness. In fact, she seemed rather confident. They wouldn't see the small, smug grin beneath her robes. "Maybe ten to be on the safe side. Most are in a large meeting room on the second floor. Perhaps some more on the first. Might be a basement. Didn't get to check." Pausing, she seemed to suddenly fidget and wilt in her usual manner.

"A-ah, u-uhm..." She looked down to the ground, holding her large sleeves together in a fashion that hid her hands. "T-that's uhm, it! Something about goods and uhm, stuff..." She looked over to Mis expectantly.
