Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

"Perhaps a stimulation of some serotonin inhibitor proteins?"

"Megh, never helps." Alexis grunted, mumbling out a sentence through a still burning rolled up cigarette in her mouth. "And neither does your voice rattling around in my head."

"I must protest the usage of unknown substances brought from some unnaturally twitchy Vorcha in some shady back alley."

"I'd tell you to go eat a virus but that'd just make you worse."

"And leave you alone with your morbidly mundane and boring thoughts? I would never inflict such a horror on you. Without my dulcet tones you'd probably cease functioning." Alexis couldn't help but to roll her eyes, running a cloth over the weapon in her lap. A joke she might have laughed at if she was in a good mood, because it was depressingly true.

"I hate you sometimes." To anyone looking, the girl in white armor, was just talking to herself. Probably thought she was crazy. A crazy currently carrying an arsenal, and enough ammunition to probably fight a small army of some sort so most had enough sense to leave her alone. Not to mention the smell of smoking something, and likely a bit high. Honestly, she was completely and utterly suspicious of whatever this was. A job of some sort? Meh, last time she ended up doing some work for some unknown schmucks she ended up working for a remnant Cerberus Cell.

Normally Alexis kept herself in a pretty good mood, but today she had woken up on the wrong side of the futon. Migraine, broke her a few dishes because she had problems holding anything with her left hand without Cinnis' help these days. Accidentally blasted a hole in her shop because she got a bit careless. So basically, not a fun day. At least whatever the fuck was in this blunt was helping ease the pain a bit. Argh, she just wanted to bash some fuckers face in.

"You sure you couldn't dig up anything on this Saris guy?" Alexis asked the AI jostling around in her head.

"Affirmative. Aside from being a particularly round Volus that would make a very good ball of some sort, I could find nothing." A pause as he seemed to move through some files in his data banks. Hearing mechanical whirs in your head was something most people would be terrified to get used too. "...how did the Volus even become the dominant species on their planet? They're so round, squishy, and fat. They're probably hideous under that suit."

"Hah!" Alexis couldn't help but to laugh a bit, before wincing lightly as a sudden surge of pain throbbed in her head. "Urgh, don't make me laugh. I kind of want them to be the most adorable creatures in existence now, just to spite you."

"Well, there is one way to find out you know." Cinnis replied. "Murder and taking their things is always an option."

"Yea, so is stuffing you into a 20 terabyte drive."

"OH DEAR MOTHERBOARD NO IT'D BE SO CRAMPED. Oh I wouldn't have any room to watch blasto reruns on the extranet!"

"Then shut up, and behave."

Alexis looked up from her seat on a nearby shipping crate, immediately taking note of two kids in the area She narrowed her eyes at them, but said nothing. Kids? really? They were either in the wrong place at the wrong time or she was gonna have a stern word with this Saris guy. Mergh, not her problem right now. Grunting and pulling the blunt from her mouth, she tossed it carelessly on the ground before laying the Hydra next to her, reaching for her Talon.

Silently letting Cinnis ramble on in her head about different topics, she began checking the weapon. Checking its parts, interiors, magazines, barrel...everything needed to be in working shape. It was sort of therapeutic at this point. Take a machine apart, put it back together. Take it a part, put it back together. Even simple ones helped take her mind off of everything else. Sighing, she slid the magazine back into place before returning the gun to its holster.

"Problem, Alexis?"

"I got a bad feeling about this." Alexis grunted. She might have limited combat experience, but she knew when she was being fucked with. Like to think she did anyways. Ever since that problem with Cerberus, and the fact her own dad had basically let all of it happen in the first place she had a difficult time actually taking people at face value. "Twitchier than normal. Day started off bad so its just gonna get worse."

"While there is some merit to 'gut feelings' as one calls them, I would suggest using rationale. This Saris has hired us and therefore has no reason to lie or do something underhanded...also I'm almost certain that 'twitchiness' is from whatever you were smoking."

Ignoring the AI, Alexis cast a glance over to the two boys who seemed to be talking about something in a not very discreet manner. Maybe she should say something. Whatever was about to go down here was not a place for kiddos. Grabbing her suits helmet she gave it a look over before she heard Saris over the intercom.

His introduction really didn't instill much confidence. Sounded like he was one of those types that talked too much. What came next, made her trust him even less. A small test? Blue suns? Almost two hundred soldiers?! Son of a fucking robot. Alexis merely sighed, her migraine feeling like it was getting worse.

"Oh good, a bullet party. My favorite." Alexis sighed, slipping on her helmet and securing it around her neck. Well, this was going about as well as she had expected. Ignoring anyone else for now, Alexis got down from her seat, approaching the kids and a Batarian she had just now noticed.

"Portable turrets...check. Combat Drone in optimal condition, as always. Physical stats...nominal. Slightly elevated heart rate and some minor increase in adrenaline. I would advise either fleeing or setting up fortifications."

"Alexis...And I'm kinda in a bad mood right now so we can save the introductions for later." She grunted. "We should probably make some sorta fortifications or we're gonna be pretty fucked."

As it turned out Penny was incorrect about where were in Penrose they were but she was still able to lead the way to a nearby diner, thanks to a quick google search with her eye piece. She set an easy pace to the diner, sticking mainly to rooftops or back alleyways

About a block before reaching their destination Penny would detour off in search for a good place to pull her disguise on and would let out a sigh of relief after she was once again wearing a human form.

“Always nice to change out of that” she would say more to herself then to Rina as she started the last leg of the trip for breakfast. Her voice would be notably softer than it was when she was in her unsealed from, as well as lacking the harsher edge of static that normally accompanied it.

Rina for the most part, retook her usual stoic persona as they traveled to the Diner and taking the time to study Penny. She might have been out of magic power completely, but that didn't mean she couldn't still do her job. Hunt monsters and protect the weak as best she could...and assessing the threat a monster girl like Penny possessed.

"Hm." Rina gave her a frown. "That's a pretty good disguise." She commented idly, losing her own disguise. "Gotta say...I'm not used to seeing monster girls that don’t seem insane on some level." She stuffed her hands in the pockets of her jeans. "So I apologize in advance if I seem harsh. I'm used to fighting, not making friends."

”Pfft, you’ve got nothing to apologize for, I know I’m a statistical oddity. ‘Sides you’re no worse than some of the members of Beacon” Penny would say brushing off the apology as she put her hands in her jacket pockets “as for the insane bit, I’m not going to say I’ve avoided that particular downside” she would admit with a sigh “I think it has more has to do with the monstrous half of me then anything. It doesn’t run off emotion and desire like most other monsters do, just cold logic. Thus it’s easier to control my urge to break things, that and I try to keep myself sated in that regard with small acts or abandoned places if I’m in a bad way.” she would explain with a shrug “Least that’s how I understand it, not had much chance to talk with many other monster girls and I still feel relatively new to this whole magical girl thing despite nearing my year anniversary at this point so it could be something completely different.”

By the time she was done explaining they had made it to the Diner, a Denny’s as promised “I’ve got a hundred on me so feel free to get what you want” she explained as she perused the menu herself. She might be able to subsist of eating near anything but wasn’t going to spurn the chance to get a cooked meal.

Rina said nothing to her comments relating to her being an oddity, or her more violent impulses. Just a thoughtful hum as they walked into the diner and took a seat. Reaching over to the Menu and giving it a quick look over. Pancakes, hash browns, sandwiches, oh god it all looked so good.

"Hm..." Catching herself staring open mouthed at the menu, She quickly decided she'll be getting some Orange Juice, pancakes, eggs, bacon, an omelette and a salad. No, she wasn't going to be eating it all here. Some of it was for later.

"You work with Beacon?" Rina questioned, leaning over the table slightly. "That's a surprise. Didn't think those narrow minded idiots would give monster girls a chance." That was the only reason Rina had never joined up. She didn't like to have the restrictions of being able to dispense justice at someone else's definition of it.

”It’s a recent development” Penny explained as she made her own decision on food, which only differ in the part that she was getting a milkshake and a sandwich rather than orange juice and a salad. She wasn’t planning on taking any of it home either. ”The Beckoners made a deal with my patron, that ended up with me working alongside Beacon, they’ve picked up another monster girl since then so it seems like they are changing their ways, albeit slowly, still it’s rather nice not having to worry about getting jumped by them anymore.” Most of Beacon still held onto their grudges against monster kind, or was just distant and distrusting of Penny but she was quickly learning to not care again as it just reminded her of high school.

”“So what's the story with Amaryllis?” Penny would ask after placing her order ”“And does she always talk like she’s in a shakespearean play?”

"We ran into each other yesterday when some psycho decided to use spirits to murder people." Rina replied, placing her order. "Long story short we decided we're a good team and decided to try and track 'em down. Us being at the stadium was a coincidence, though I think she'd probably say something about fate and roses." She mused. "But yea, she probably does. Some sorta patron thing I'd guess. Kinda makes me wanna shoot her myself, haha. Makes me glad sometimes I don't have one." She chuckled, leaning back in her seat.

Having a patron would have honestly made her life a lot easier honestly, even if she had to be ordered around by someone else. For one, she wouldn’t probably be needing to mooch off of monster girls for breakfast.

“All depends on who you get stuck with I suppose” Penny picked up her fork and started to twirl it aimlessly between her fingers “Mine is only about half a step above being on my own. As for the most part I get nothing from the bastard until He up and demands something of me from nowhere, and I’ll be lucky if I get an explanation as to why. That and he seems to like using my existence as his person favorite bargaining chip.” Penny half ranted. She had long wanted to get away from Laat, but never actively tried to get away from him due to fear, both of losing the only certainty in her new life and of the God’s reprisal.

Rina said nothing as their food arrived, immediately starting to dig in as soon as it was delivered. Ah gods, it had been a long time since she had a decent meal like this. Living on instant ramen and takeout was great, hell, she lived on that before she was a magical girl but it got old pretty fast.

"Sounds tough." Rina replied after a moment, though it didn't sound particularly genuine. "I for one am glad I don't have to answer to anyone. Means I can do whatever I want...usually just making sure people are safe...and hunting monsters."

Penny also dug in to her food with enthusiasm for much the same reason, as It was the first time in a while that she had gone out and gotten real, edible, food. “That not far from what I’ve found myself doing when I have the time, though more focus on the hunting part, harder for me to interact with normal people” she commented with a shrug “You from Penrose originally or just find yourself here by chance?”

"I've been here since I was a normal human." Rina replied dismissively. "...used to be a cop. Some stuff happened and now I'm a magical girl. What about you?" She didn’t seem like she was too interested in continuing this line of conversation about herself.

Penny couldn’t help a small chuckle at the simple way that the girl across from her described the transition into being a magical girl, still she knew better then to pry. “From out of town myself, been here two months, and it was my patrons idea to begin with.”

Sounded like she wasn't too keen on this whole thing still. Well, wasn't her problem as long as Penny wasn't going on some monstrous rampage.

The huntress quickly finished her food, having decided not to spend any longer eating than she needed. She already got the information she wanted anyways. Low threat. Not something immediately needing to be taken care of. Finishing her orange juice, Rina flagged down a waitress and got some takeout boxes.

"Sounds like your patron is a real piece of work." Rina grunted, seemingly mulling over something and taking a few moments before asking another question. "Hey, know anyone in the Beacon I could talk with?"

“He really can be” Penny would agree as she keep on munching away at her meal. “And yeah, Alicia. She’s one of the friends I’ve made, but more importantly the one only member’s whose numbers I’ve got.” She would explain, before borrowing the waitress pen before scribbling down a pair of numbers on a napkin and passing it over to Rina “Here, her number, and mine. Feel free to call me”

Penny would turn back to her food afterwards, figuring that Rina either had something else to do, or had filled her quota of dealing with people. Either way, Penny considered breakfast a success, as she made a few new acquaintances and had a amicable conversation over a meal.

All in all not a bad way to unwind after a fight.

"Alicia, huh." Rina took the napkin, briefly looking it over before stuffing it in her pocket. She'd have to call Alicia at some point. Gathering up the food boxes, Rina gave one last look to Penny as she passed. "Thanks for the breakfast...you don’t seem half bad, so try not to do anything that’d make me regret trying to be nice with you." With that, Rina headed out of the diner.

Ah shit. She forgot to ask about the alcohol.

Mie Yukima

Below Ground - The Arena floor

Mie kept a playful pace as she walked alongside the other serving girls. She did her best to make sure Elque wasn't too uncomfortable aside from some light teasing in her usual way. Truthfully, it'd have been difficult for anyone to tell Mie wasn't a normal serving girl. Perhaps she had practice in something like this before? Or perhaps she was just in her natural element - a position to tease and playfully lead people on. It was certainly something to think about.

When they arrived in front of the three armed men, Mie did as the other serving girls, though her mind was already performing a threat assessment. Simple enough guards. Would be easily dealt with. Threat? Almost non existent. Listening to the rules intently, Mie made a mental note of them. Not like she was going to be following them, but knowledge was power as they say. The more someone knows, the more equipped someone is to deal with something.

Giving one of the guards a playful tail swish as she passed, Mie followed once Mirt and Anyon were done. Not leaving Elque's side, Mie kept her playful pace once ushered forwards. The fox made a mental note of all the twists and turns. It was easy enough. Besides, if one got lost all she had to do was head to the roofs. Still, she had to give them credit. They certainly were a cautious bunch, but that didn't mean much in the end if they were still fools.

The place was absolutely horrendously hedonistic as Mie had expected. She couldn't help but to curl her mouth, a playful, almost eager seeming smirk forming on her lips as her tail swished playfully back and forth. Such a wonderful den of degenerates. Oh how she just wanted to play with all of them. But no, 'twas not her job. Not at the moment.

"Fufu, So concerned. I'd say you're like a doting father. Don't worry so much Mirt." Mie chuckled impishly. "I can slip anywhere I want. Into places where this little fox shouldn't. Or even into your clothes. If you want, heh~" Once he had released her, Mie began walking, keeping a suggestive bounce in her step as she moved away from Mirt, pulling Elque with her.

"Don't stray too far from me Kitten, this little fox can only do so much for you." She began quietly. "But at least try to appear too suspicious or get angry at the inappropriate touching. Though some may like it, we can't afford to stand out." Moving into the crowd, it was clear Elque probably wasn't going to be a happy kitten at this rate. Someone had already tried to cop a feel. "We need to get past the guards. I doubt you have training in subterfuge and stealth." The best way to do this, was simple. These people would be so very, very easy. "So you just keep your head low and I'll make an opening for you to slip past. Once you're back there, I'll find you soon...unless you have some other idea, of course. That doesn't involve immediate dismembering." The oldest trick in the book was still around because it worked, after all.

Mie continued to move through the crowd, stealing an empty tray from the table while the serving girl was busy and carrying it as she headed to the kitchen. Had to keep up appearances a bit, after all.

Well this was just getting better and better.

Anger still wanted to make her just tear out that stupid goblins throat, but no. That would be stupid, and she was not stupid. Ash hissed lightly before snapping her head back to Mourn and the others. She hopefully didn't need to tell them to get out of here. Ignoring what Torrent was doing, Ash decided to give a bit more directive.

"Leave now unless you want to deal with them yourselves. You, goblin! Take Torrent and get out of here. I'll cover us in case the goblins decide anything funny." Immediately, Ash gave her wings a flap. Learning to fly using them would be a boon she couldn't overlook from here on out now that she was out of the cave. Hovering low over the ground, the Pygmy Drake waited for the others to make their moves. Hopefully they had some brain cells left to not attempt something incredibly stupid. Again. If they didn't follow...well, that was alright too.

She wasn't planning on sticking around any longer.
@Vulkan

Alright, well, here we are. Hopefully everything is acceptable, if not I'll change whatever needed.

@Vulkan

Hmm, Well, It's been awhile since I've done anything ME related whatsoever, but I have an idea I think I might run by ya in PMs if you don't mind.
Hmm, the heck not

Been a while since I dipped into anything Mecha.

~Chieko Okawa~

Hero's District, Priestella
Death count: 1
Reset Count: 4

Chieko followed Donovan silently, not entirely intent on interacting with many people unless necessary. A few people were about, and while she was eager to help those less fortunate than she in the way of heroics, Chieko didn't know the first thing about healing people otherwise. She only cast a disinterested glance over to Quill, giving her a passive gaze as Donovan mentioned magic. W-was she about to learn!? She didn't think she'd learn anything at all in this trip, but maybe she had been wrong. Alistair had Water and Dark. Hmph. Subtle non hero suitable elements, hah!

And then it came her and Flame's turn. Both of them had Fire! Nothing less from her own heroic nature, and nothing less from her rival, either, haha! Yes yes, this trip was going well after all, heh! Maybe she should have gone earlier. Hm. Well, that was done and over with now. She'd need to practice with it more if she wanted to do anything like she had seen Vasilis do. After being held a candle, Chieko cradled it gently.

Right, not too much mana. She could do it.

"Goa." Immediately the candle sparked to life, a small flame lighting itself upon the wick and slowly burning. Unable to contain her excitement, Chieko grinned brightly. She wanted to try it again! Hrm, but there were no candles around and she didn't know what else she could use it for. She took a quick look around, gaze shifting about the room until she noticed Flame looking at her.

Face flushing with mild embarrassment, Chieko, quickly returned to her normal quiet self as he whispered to her.

"...I still don't see the point of coming here." Chieko replied quietly. "But I don't think Donovan is up to anything." She didn't feel that he was a bad guy, at least. If he wanted to kill them like the others had before, then all he'd have to do is already have the candles lit. There was a very obvious course of events forming in Chieko's head right about now, though she still didn't have the full story. Hopefully she wasn't wrong.

"Donovan..." Walking away from Chieko and towards the doctor, Chieko presented to him the burning candle, feeling rather proud.

"Unfortunately we are to pass as serving girls." Mie replied with a smile. "I myself have no problems showing off a bit, as I'm not someone with such silly self esteem issues." The fox gave Elque a light giggle. Master Gris, huh? That was a name she'd need to remember in case there were any...complications. She certainly hoped there wasn't, but she'd deal with them when the time came. "...and while I am certain the cart will not come to any harm, I'll reimburse this Lord Gris of yours for it. Or at least help you clean it a bit." And by that she meant make Mirt do it, but that was irrelevant at the moment.

"So will you help us or not, Kitten? We really should get going before we start sticking out too much."

"...eh?"

Suddenly, Tania's world began to spin. Literally. She could already tell the moment her vision started getting skewed. One who was good with illusions, also had to be able to tell when they were being affected by one on some level. Didn't mean she could do anything about it though. As the introductions continued, Tania stood - or attempted too, only to stumble lightly as she placed a hand on the wall to stabilize herself. If she couldn't rely on her eyes, then she'd just have to rely on her other senses. Closing her eyes, Tania stood without so much seemingly affected by the spell. Granted, she couldn't see anything but at least she wasn't stumbling around like a drunken butterfly.

"Hahaha, It'll take more than a little visual trick to beat me, you fool! I've learned much more sense our last encounter, haha!" She laughed confidently, placing her hands on her hips and brightly grinning, only for her enthusiasm to be cut incredibly short. "...eh?" Light suddenly engulfed her own vision, as she felt herself be pulled, tugged somewhere else. A teleport spell...? No. No, he wouldn't...!

"...Ah." Tania could guess what happened. He had teleported her from her hiding spot, to somewhere near the gathered group of newcomers. Argh! She hadn't wanted to introduce herself this early! No! Now she couldn't fuck with them! She wasn't going to totally play a game of tag, lead them on a wild choose chase or challenge them to a game of cards only to swindle their money from them! Aaargh, she wasn't even going to introduce herself as an Aetheri to start with.

Ah, so many fun plans ruined. Okay okay she could still salvage this. Play it cool, Tania.

"Huhu, well, it seems the esteemed and plain master R has foiled the great me's plans." Tania opened her eyes, momentarily forgetting about the effects of that spell as she stood. "Allow me to introduce myself - I am Tania and-wah!" She attempted to make a step, but only ended up stumbling over her own feet and taking a tumble that sent nearly tumbling over the edge of R's hand. "-Ahem. Tania. Aetheri entertainer, at your service!" Her head and vision was still swimming, but she had appearances to keep up so she tried moving as little as possible, despite the nausea. "Hey hey, mind cutting out the spell already? I got it, I'll be a good little fey. You know, unless you want me to throw up that apple I ate all over your hand."

That was most certainly a lie.
