So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

@Sep Oh god, there should be a list of character "flaws" that shouldn't be permitted as legitimate flaws. Too-young, inexperienced, and anti-social are three of the biggest ones.


It depends how it's done. I mean inexperienced is a tricky one to do. As the point in a roleplay is to have characters grow and develop, if you're inexperienced you need to make sure that you don't develop too quickly and you also need weaknesses to augment that one weakness.

Which is why in my RP people have to write up flaws for both their characters and their powers.

As there was quite a lot of interest for this game, I have decided to give everyone an equal shot at character creation. Since people are living in different time zones and countries, the principle of first come first serve won't do. I will therefor read through the applied characters and decide which ones I want in my game. Other characters will be kept in reserve, if their players are still interested.

Super powered RP. Player created a character who could change their mass to any degree, becoming super armoured, super strong, shoot projectiles made out of bones and grow to the size of giants and retain their strength.

Claimed they wouldn't use it because their character was too young to understand it properly (All characters in the RP haven't had their powers for long, but none so blatantly powerful).

I pointed out that if the powers weren't going to be used there was no point having them... after some back and forth they're no longer taking part.
