E V I L S C O T T I S H G U Y

So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Nice to hear, if you have any questions. Feel free to ask.
@Sep I'm going to try to get a post up once I'm done watching Manchester United lose to West Ham.

Well. We beat France at Rugby so, y'know. Go us.

Indeed, at least until he gets stronger and possibly increases his slot ability. Though one question, is there any limitations or exceptions he can't copy? I know Might has the ability to mimic physical attributes of others but only natural occurring, that counts out abilities gained by machines and I think magical abilities (the description made it a bit hard to understand what was defined as not being able to mimic). Likewise, yours would be the opposite which makes me wonder if there's any limits similar to that or not.

However, I do look forward to meeting him when you get him done. ^-^

Kinda tempted to go the opposite route and go he can take more than one, then later he limits it to one... as that adds new problems. I'll decide later, obviously animals will be easier than supers abilities as animals he can pick and choose what he wants.

He's limited to abilities that don't require an actual physical change. I.E. He can get strong off someone, but if someones ability is to turn into an animal that's pretty much useless to him. Magic as well, can't be copied. So long as the magic hasn't actually altered the persons DNA in any way. This is just a possible, I'm also interested to maybe do something along the lines of Beast Boy but I'd need to think on how I'd make that work. I'm definitely going to do one of the two ideas.

True, but have you ever tried to find them when you're actually looking for them (they aren't exactly easily to find)? And also consider the landscape, city scenes are much harder to find them in than country side. The supers I admit, I forgot because I was more focused on the animal aspect. When absorbing a super's ability, how are you planning on doing that? Is it going to be a more linear version or almost exactly the same? Does he instinctively know how to use them and do the abilities have to be naturally existing? I'm only asking questions because honestly, I'm curious, especially if Rach and this PC might ever cross paths.

Nah it's not instinctive. It's more watch and learn or trial and error, so obviously teaming up with someone he knows will be ideal. However if not it's pretty much trial and error. Some abilities are obviously simpler (Such as a speedster can run fast) than others, and they'll be the ones he tries to mimic. Essentially if four villains, and three heroes + him meet in a street and clash the only advantage he'd give the heroes is that he can change his ability depending on the situation.

The way you made it sound he would lose it if he didn't continually think about it. Which is a great weakness, but in my mind a bit too great since you would need to find a convenient animal every time you went super or needed to protect yourself. Something that can become tedious after a while and even frustrating, unless you got a way to summon one without a cost to you, when you can't plausibility come up with a reason an animal would be there. I mean usually when there's a high power scrape, most creatures are smart enough to skid-dale away before they get crushed. At least the smart ones are. :p

You're forgetting the fact that insects exist, as do other supers. Besides you forget heroes do exist that have no powers what so ever, though I was thinking of giving him his own small healing factor anyway if that makes you feel better.
Could also be that when he absorbs another ability, he loses his old one? In addition this reminds me of something I considered and I can pm it to you to see if you can borrow aspects since I'm not likely to develop it. It could give you ideas after all. As for him reading your mind, I'm not so talented sadly! :P

No need, I've done a char like thsi before. Also yes, he can't hold onto more than one ability at a time (currently, as I said he might be able to get better in time).

Welcome, and might help if you define the mimic you're aiming at. There's usually two types in my mind: those who mimic powers/skills and those who mimic appearance.

@Dedonus can read my mind Fallen, didn't you know that?

So, like Peter Petrelli from Heroes?

More like Rogue but without the excess stuff. Able to mimic certain attributes of animals via physical contact (Spiders relative strength for example), or if in contact with another Super he can gain a random power to borrow. Though obviously depending on the power it could prove difficult for him to use, and he can only hold onto said power with a conscious effort (knocked out = byebye ability) and for so long as it will be tiring. Obviously as time goes on he may gain the ability to take on more than one ability or hold it for longer.
I think it may be time to acknolwedge this K.I.A.

I won't be trying to run it again, I know it's flaws and... it's not a game I can run I'm afraid. If anyone wishes to use the concept, feel free.

I thank everyone for participating, and I apologize. It's been a pleasure.
I find this interest, interesting.
