So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

@Vashonn Indeed, I should have made the edits to make that clearer, and will tomorrow or later this evening.

1) It's contradictory in that it's both, the crew are the best and brightest. Those in cryo are either having skills deemed non-essential to the space side of survival or are just healthy individuals chosen at random.
2) The projects did become public before full boarding took place, in terms of the ships for a large period of time it was their purpose that was kept secret, not the ships themselves.
3) A sizable portion, if you want specifics I'm afraid I can't give them as I never sat down and measured it all out and assigned set space to everything. The pods themselves are in cryo trays, the trays are split into sections and then each section has several monitors dedicated to it. While random checks also happen periodically.

I hope this reply answers your questions. If you're wondering why the skip, before life got in the way with the prior rendition things slowed dramatically after the escape. While I'm not expecting it to be fast, it is an advanced RP me and @Rawk got to discussing what the issues were, and he wisely suggested the problem may be the 'newness' of it all, for the crew at least.

@Polyhedronic Great!

"We all knew this moment was coming. We knew that everything we did, would never be enough. Federation and Conglomerate joined together giving the world a sense of unity it has never before seen, it was not enough. We have lost contact with Admiral Constantine, who took the combined Martian and Earth fleets to confront the Devastators. Genesis protocol is now in effect, we are leaving Earth. We are trusted with the burden to continue humanities legacy out in the stars. There can be no turning back."

This roleplay is set in a (hopefully) fictitious future, where in the year 2196 experiments with a new type of faster than light (FTL) technology resulted in an attack by an alien race which tore through our defenses in the Three Day War only stopped by a joint defense in the orbit of Mars lead by Admiral Roland Constantine. After the war humanity banded together like never before, all factions uniting under the banner of the United Earth Council. Ten grueling years past, leaps in technology from shielding technology to artificial intelligence were abundant all in the hopes of preparing for the next wave. Nobody was of the impression that they wouldn't return, when deep space scanners detected them amassing a fleet far larger than the one that decimated our system a plan had to be concocted as despite advances in technology there was no way Humanity could survive such an onslaught.

Project Genesis was concocted in secret, 12 Arks would be constructed to ensure humanity survived. Filled with the best and brightest humanity had to offer, each ship capable of hosting 10,000 waking people with a further 500,000 in cryogenic stasis. At the same time a hyperspace gate would be built in orbit, sending each Ark to a different distant solar system to minimize the chance of being followed or the possibility of sending the Arks into a dangerous system. Each Ark built with the best technology, the best resources humanity had to offer however the labor was mainly done by robots and trusted individuals to reduce panic.

10 Years later, with the Devastator fleet on the move again Project Genesis was made public, riots happened as expected however many people seemed to understand the necessity of their sacrifice. Admiral Constantine, a hero of humanity delivered the address and promised that he would lead all military units willing to fight against the Devastators. Not one member of the military went A.W.O.L, or asked to be released from service. In the mean time the best servicemen were assigned to the Arks, as well as Scientists from all fields, historians, doctors and engineers.

The Vitae, our Ark and our home. Left Earth five years ago, with no sign of a habitable planet tensions begin to rise on the Ark. Divisions between members of the four nations is rising, political unrest growing at the lack of a democractic society. The year is now 2221. How will you ensure humanities continued survival?

In this Roleplay we'll start with a Prologue as the Devastators make their attack, and the Vitae escapes into the void, simply as I feel it's an incredibly important and interesting part of the story. After that we'll be skipping five years, to where we are now. With our characters trying to do all they can to try and keep humanity in one piece.

You may have some questions. Feel free to ask them, I've ran this roleplay in the past (before Real Life got in the way) so while there is room for those of you who are creative and like to world build there is already a lot of canon available to you all.

Aboard the Warspite.

The growl was almost audible from Wyte as the Rebel ships cut as close to the Punisher as possible. Credit where credit was due, the bombing run had been effective. The asteroids in the system had always had strange properties, she was told it was something to do with the mineral composition in them. Something warranting further study, however for now she had bigger things to worry about. The Punisher was going to go down, there was nothing she could do about that. She'd soon bring an end to this Rebellion, her tactic had been strong however in doing so it decreased the ability to take down a large number of ships, had she jumped into one formation she wouldn't have takena nything with her, and now she knew what she was up against. The loss of life was regretable, however in war it wasn't unexpected. The Rebels were better prepared than she had previously thought, fighters and bombers more heavily armed. Luckily numbers had prevailed and the sheer volume of TIEs in the conflict had eliminated a large amount of the Rebel Squadrons.

"Have the Vronskr fire across the Punishers prow, order Captain Fillx to abandon ship-" there was nothing she could do about the Punisher now, but she'd show her resolve. She could see as the order was instantly relayed, the Vronskr lashing out at the aging Providence, some of its shots missing the dying hulk of the Punisher others striking her and tearing through. As the last Rebel ship jumped into hyperspace she couldn't help but notice that not all the fighters had made a retreat into hyperspace. "-Admiral." She turned to face him, and he looked up in acknowledgement "Order the Vronskr to actively ignore the Rebel Fighters in their retreat, have it appear to focus on the rescue of personnel from the Punisher however I want an officer tracking each individual fighter on sensors. They've got a base somewhere, and I want to know where it is."

Quint nodded. "Yes Governor."

Things were moving along nicely, track those fighters discretely back to their base. That would give her wherever the Rebels were planning to launch their assaults in system, then all she had to worry about was the fortifications in Lorya. The city itself was already in a defensible position, situated up in the mountains. The shield generator that she had installed was the best available to the Imperial Military for shields of its type. With the fact that her space station was missing important components she had to run under the impression that the rebels had further fotified the capital, it wasn't that much of an issue for Star Destroyers but it was an issue for launching TIE fighter support and landing craft.

The information packet from the Colonel came in, detailing where the Rebels had dug in. The Warspite and absolution continued to pull into orbit. She smiled as the ship then slowed, it's powerful engines preventing gravity from taking her. "Begin blanket bombardment of Rebel Positions-" She turned to look out of the viewports. "-Clear a path to the capital, all ships and all batteries." She watched as the turbolasers lanced out down towards the planet, she could only imagine the fear from the Rebels as they heard the shots ring through the sky. It wasn't precise fire, given that the ships were holding in orbit and the targets weren't designated and marked. She turned around. "Prepare my shuttle, inform the Colonel to prepare Firebase Alpha for my Arrival. As soon as the orbital bombardment stops, launch the Gunships to clean up any survivors."
Tria - Renshal Homestead

Ganner ducked behind cover as a squad of Clone Troopers ran passed, he closed his eyes and waited for them to pass. As the sound of boots faded into the distance he stood up again. They kept coming, no matter what he did they kept coming after him. He stood up, hood over hi shead and kept moving through the corridors of the space station. His master had died at the hands of the clones, the individuals who had been entrusted to help the Jedi bring peace back to the Republic. Instead, they turned against them under the control of who could only now be identified as the Emperor. Palpatine, the individual who had worked so hard to bring peace back to the Republic... he was behind it all...

There is no Emotion, there is peace.

Ganner took a deep breath as he opened his eyes, above him he could see the stars. Tria and Uslam didn't have matching day and night cycles, from here he could faintly see the battle raging in Uslams orbit. A galactic organisation born out of chaos, could only result in chaos. The Empire may have originally appeared benevolent however it wasn't long until it had reared it's true face out here in the outer rim. Sure the Republic hadn't originally been the best galactic organisation out here, however it was better than that of the Empire. Slavery had been returned to the system. There was nowhere else he could go, the Empires reach continued to expand throughout the Galaxy. It did not appear to be stopping nor halting as time went on, the Rebellion grew stronger however the extreme measures the Empire was taking to counter the Rebellion too increased.

He took a deep breath and sighed, bending hishead down as he heard the whir of his droid coming up behind him. He let out a series of deep beeps and whirs. "No Chuckles, I don't need you to go get the ship ready. The ships fine where it is." Ganner stood up and faced the droid. "Look, I know what's going on. I'm not taking part of it, it's got nothing to do with me-" The droid whizzed back. "-No, I'm not. I mean, I am but I don't do any of that anymore. I haven't for years, theres nothing I can do." He stood up and began walking back to the house. "Chuckles, it's not meant ot be. If the Force wanted me to do anything, it'd give me a sign. There's nothing I can do." He turned back to the face the droid, a sad smile on his face. "I'm sorry."

Ganner Renshal

Species: Coruscanti Human
Faction: Independent
Location: Tria
Equipment: Old ETA-2 Actis interceptor, painted a rusted orange colour. Mandalorian Force Staff. Lightsaber, green blade.
Abilities: Ganner is reasonably skilled in Soresu, however he is more skilled at deflecting blaster bolts than fighting another skilled melee combatant. In line with his limited training the majority of his skills lie in that of telekinesis and basic mind tricks against untrained individuals. Ganner however has over time become in tune with plants, he can convince them to grow how we wants them to and at rapid speeds.
Skills: Mechanical Expertise, reasonable pilot.
History:

Ganner was born in the undercity of Coruscant, learned to be Force Sensitive at a young age and then brought into the Jedi Order. The Clone wars broke out at the onset of him graduating and becoming a Jedi Padawan, Ganner became Padawan to Jedi Knight Worror Antouri an Ithorian Jedi Knight who believed in peace and the true way of the Force. Ganner was dragged around the Galaxy in a variety of skirmishes, Worror tried to avoid entangling them in the war. The two Jedi rarely interacting with the Clone Armies of the Republic. As the war continued Ganner moved around the Galaxy picking up more skills along the way, diplomatic abilities and skills that deepened his connection to the Force.

Then, Order 66 came. Worror and Ganner weren't acting with the Grand Army at the time, so weren't instantly killed. Instead on returning from a mission Worror was shot down on approach to the Jedi Carrier Trinity. It was only through the ingenuity of his astromech C1-KL3 - also known as Chuckles - that Ganner managed to survive. For the next year or so Ganner refused to believe that the newfound Galactic Empire would last. He didn't believe that all the Jedi Masters could have been bested and killed, surely someone had survived and they would topple the Empire and restore the Republic and the Jedi Order in no time at all.

This never happened, and Ganner lost hope. Having to reshape his identity for a period of time Ganner became known as Thaun Ren. Changing his name in order to escape the harsh reality that the Empire were hunting Jedi. He took his astromech and fled to the relatively untouched system of Uslam. Working in the mines, using his mechanical expertise to keep himself busy and working. While his expertise with living things helped him to grow plants and supply food. When the Empires came to Uslam as peacebringers, Ganner moved to the moon of Tria to live the life of a farmer. Hiding away his ship and all other material linking him to the Jedi behind a nearby waterfall to his homestead.

Aboard the Warspite

Araunda stood looking at the display of the ships in the system as a group of X-Wings and Y-Wings flanked from a nearby asteroid belt and struck at the Punisher. She cursed under her breath as the ships moved in on the vessel and struck it. She turned to Admiral Quint. “Pull the Punisher back, have it shielded by the body of the Vronskr. It will still take some hits, but her big cousin will help her out.” Quint nodded in affirmation, as he walked over to relay the command to the formation. Quint was a good man, perfectly capable of running the fleet by himself. This however was her fleet, and her command and so long as she was on the ship she would command it. Her experience vastly outnumbered that of Admiral Weltin Quint.

She smiled as the Vronskr pushed into position to help the Punisher. She could see the lasers lashing out in space against their opponents, glancing off the shields. It truly was a work of beauty, she still preferred the older style Venator over that of the Imperial Star Destroyer however she couldn’t argue with the amount of firepower that an Imperial, or even an Imperial-II could bring to bear. Sure a Venator like the Absolution had a greater fighter complement, but it lacked in the structural integrity and firepower departments. She still couldn’t quite understand why Tarkin being a Clone Wars Veteran hadn’t chosen to improve on the design of the Venator.

“Send the light cruisers to flank the Rebel Fleet-” she didn’t expect the cruisers to be able to cause much in the way of damage to the Rebel Fleet. Her main hope that was that with the firepower of the Vronskr and the damaged Punisher depleting their shields was that her other vessels would be able to cause some damage. In the meantime the Warspite and Vengeance were rapidly approaching the planet unhindered by any rebel vessels. This meant that the next stage of her plan was about to come to into place, they had purge her world of these terrorists. The failure of the colonel reflected poorly on her. He could argue all he wanted that Tarkin had given him the greenlight, and that it was her fault for the appointment of a Prime Minister. However the Prime Minister had never been her choice, there were still some portions of the New Republic that persisted in this modern day and age. The appointment of a ‘civilian’ Prime Minister, Senator or even Governor was a requirement of every system within the Empire. Until the Emperor did away with this system, she was a victim of it.

On the bright side, she wouldn’t need to worry about that while Uslam was in a state of emergency. Right now she was in complete and full control of the planet, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Araunda smirked as she looked at the hologram of the theatre of war. The planet lit up green as the vessels started to get closer to the planet. “Ready the gunships, and the the prefabricated bases aboard the Vengeance and Warspite. I need them ready to deploy in a half rotation. Contact the Colonel, tell him I need an up to date map of what’s going on. I know that he’s been pushing his way back to the capital, I need to know where they’re digging in so I can deploy our forces to maximum effect.”

-snip will finish tonight-

Name:
12th Fleet
Type: Imperial Fleet
Faction/Unit: Galactic Empire
Synopsis of Role: 12th Fleet, also known as the Imperial Uslam Fleet. Originally just the ISD Warspite, Venator Absolution coupled with two light cruisers, it also gained the addition of the Victory Star Destroyers Punisherand Vengeance, two more Imperial Star Destroyers Vronskr and Valiant as well as four more light cruisers after the revolt on Uslam entered full swing, and the interference of the Rebel Alliance was predicted.

Aboard the Warspite, approaching Uslam.

Moff Araunda Wyte stood aboard the bridge of her star destroyer, behind her stood Admiral Quint as she looked over a report. Scowling. She had been gone a standard month, and in that time Jasper had seen to execute the Prime Minister under Tarkins authorisation, the planet had since erupted into chaos as terrorists and rebels spread their disorder and plague across the face of her planet. Disgusting.

There would be some, choice words for him when she returned. First she had to deal with this meager fleet the Rebel Alliance had sent to take out the defenses she had in orbit. She had petitioned that only a personal Star Destroyer wasn’t enough to protect her planet, at least now she had the resources she should have had months ago. As the Warspite dropped out of hyperspace she took a second to look at the sensor readings, in orbit was the Warspite being accompanied by the Absolution, a Gladiator Impervius and two light cruisers, coming from a different approach angle was the Imperial Star Destroyer Valiant and her escort in the way of a Victory Star Destroyer Vengeance an apt name, again with two light cruisers.

While the second approach being held by the ISD Vronksr and the VSD Punisher again supported by two light cruisers. The rebel force that they’d face was meager, so she didn’t bother opening communication with them. They’d surrender, flee or die. Those were the only three options available to them. Her cruisers were even more powerful than those being used by the rebels.

She turned to an officer in one of the trenches. “Pass me through to Colonel Theat. Immediately.” Araunda waited for the voice of the colonel to come through over her communicator. She could have moved to the holocommunicator easily, to see his face and let her see his. This wasn’t part of the plan however, she had work to do as did he. They didn’t need to see each other right now.

Jasper immediately responded “Ah, Moff Wyte. Welcome back, I apologize for the current situation we have found ourselves in. I assume based on the scanners you received my report?” Jasper crossed his arms as he awaited the reply of the Moff.

“Theat, I was at a function discussing the future of the Imperial Navy with some very influential figures from High Command and various shipyards and manufacturers when I heard the news that some outer rim mining world erupted in chaos. You can imagine my surprise that this world in question was my own, which I had left in the hands of my very capable second in command. Perhaps I should have requested someone of higher skill to command the garrisons of my homeworld?” The tone of her voice was calm, calculated. Very few choice words held emphasis to show that she meant business.

Jaspers eyes narrowed at her comment on his inept abilities, yet let a sly smile grow knowing she could do nothing, as he was merely following out the orders of their superior Grand Moff Tarkin. She even thought her discussions with imperial high command was important even though few if any of them knew what Tarkin had planned in the coming months. “Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. Yet as I stated in my report, after I had gotten word on your Prime Minister, I carried out the correct measures as stated by the Grand Moff himself. Clearly, the insurgents had been working with him and planning this uprising for awhile. Especially given the circumstances that there is a insurgent fleet overhead. Though, from my reports your fleet should be able to handle them.” Jasper took a moment as he read over a few reports he just received. “It appears, the insurgents are slowly pulling back to more secure areas. But being spread so thin, I will have to await your reinforcements and orders to act upon these reports.” Jasper finished, responding in a calm and collected way. Yet not to be perceived as arrogant or annoyed with the conversation as afterall in his mind, the fault laid with her for installing such ministers.

“The accusation is noted, however I should point out that Prime Ministers are one of the inadequacies laid down by the antiquated systems left behind as remnants of the Old Republic, and by the Imperial Senate. Rest assured, I have it on good authority that the Emperor may be considering bringing an end to the Imperial Senate. Until that day however, sadly we must conform to the bureaucracy that tore the galaxy apart.” She sighed. “From my scans this fleet is the same band of miscreants who have been plaguing the sector for months on end, I expect him attack and run before a major engagement occurs.” Araunda turned to the Admiral.

“Prepare all ground forces for deployment, launch fighters. Get the ground forces to their ships, have the freighters approach the planet and deploy walkers.” In hyperspace, far away from the rebel fleet a group of five Imperial Freighters dropped out of hyperspace, one carried AT-ATs two AT-DPs and the other two AT-STs. Not a tremendous amount of firepower between them, but enough to reinforce the Imperial Garrison.

She picked up her communicator. “I’m sending forces down to you now Theat, secure the area around the garrison and hold the line. Don’t advance further than you already have, mark targets. Send all updated mining charts to my ship immediately.”

Jasper nodded “It will be done, Moff Wyte. Sending you our information on all the mining channels now and the area is already secured. As for targets, it seems most pockets of resistance lay in the urban centers such as the capital of Lorya. I’d suggest orbital bombardment but we can’t lay waste to our own center of command. Should I also organize an arrival for you?”

“We shall retake Lorya by any means necessary. If it comes to making an example of the Rebels so be it, however the richest mines are below Lorya. Bombarding it is not the ideal situation. I will however make an example of these rebels however, most importantly I need information of where the resistance currently is. Trudging through forest terrain is not terribly ideal, we’re going to make the terrain more… favourable to our forces. Prepare for my arrival, I shall be down shortly.” With that the line was cut without so much as another word.

She looked out at the space before her, her world. She’d take it back, for the glory of the Empire. She moved back to the holocommunicator. “Display me to the enemy commandship.” She stood before the projector, whether or not her foe would transmit their own likeness back was up to them. She however was open to display herself before her adversary. “This is Moff Wyte. I advise you stand down and surrender now, fighting only prolongs the inevitable, this is your first and final warning.”
