So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Marvel tickled my balls with that dope 60s theme remix over the opening credits, but then they chickened out and did an original theme for Homecoming. (Which I like well enough, but c'mon... Just do the real thing.)

I just think that their scores aren't that big, and they seem to hide them in the background. There's only one that's really known and it's the Avengers fanfare that they use for freaking anything. I really wish they had established pretty early on their own kind of sound for every hero, that woulda been great.

Mevenn ran at the figure. Lightsaber in a low right, letting go of it for a split second she reversed her hand on the hilt before swinging it up in a backhanded motion. The figure in black anticipated the move, hands delicately guiding his own blade into a block before pushing the lower half towards her legs. Pulling back she grabbed her blaster pistol in her free hand firing off three shots. He deflected all three with skill that matched her own. Whoever this man was he had certainly recieved training in some shape or form. Rushing him again she moved into a forward feint, before pulling into a left jab. As she performed the feint he sidestepped the attack entirely. Swearing under her breath she twisted into a rightblock as he threatened to cut into her body. As she strained against the blade, pushing back against him she spoke.

"So what's the test, steal some old artifact, kill a Jedi?" She spun back into a flip, firing of a couple of shots in quick succession while in midair. She didn't expect any of the shots to hit but they were doing their job of keeping her off balance. Laser fire passed over her head as the cannons from the cruiser soared over her head, acting as artillery to shoot at the shuttles. There was an explosion in the distance signalling that at least one of them had been destroyed. "Cause I have to tell you." She pushed out in the Force, and he stumbled back slightly, however he punched his blade into the blade to stop himself from being pushed too far away. Jumping in the air she brought her blade down on top of his. The blades locking as they snapped and hissed, sparks flying everywhere.

"You picked the wrong Jedi."

Mach shrugged off the comment. "I'm sure the General will send someone for us if it's of extreme importance." In the mean time the Captain stopped the Speeder at what may have once been a set of heavy doors. The blast marks obvious to anyone with even the smallest hint of training. Already icons and images could be seen littering the surrounding area, with several skeletal remains littering the area.

The Captain pointed through the doors. "At the end of that hallway is a room full of writing, that's where we found the chamber. It wasn't easy to get out, so I'd like for you to tell me if it was worth it."

I remember a time when I thought that and the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack were the height of musical achievement.

Talking about Spider-man Sountrack. In my head this will always be Spider-mans movie theme. I feel like, until recently, Soundtrack is something Marvel has been really weak on.

Revelations:

NOT FAST ENOUGH

"Very Importantly Miss West, our security is top of the line. As soon as our personal alarm goes off, the NYPD is alerted immediately. We also have a special alarm recently installed that will alert Captain Stacy's Metahuman Task Force. That way if we are under a metahuman attack, the proper authorities know what they are dealing with." Iris nodded along as she jotted down notes, making sure to not use her speed to write notes like she usually did. She was far too close to the curator to do that.

Iris looked up at the the curator, a man named Richard Wentworth. "More importantly, while the main governing body of Khandaq has seemed willing to leave the Dynasty Diamond in the hands of Americans, and even released previously unseen tapestries of their history for us to view here as a sign of growing relations between our two countries. What do you say to the reports of this so called 'Khem-Adam' and his movement, that America stole the Diamond and should return it? Lest it pay the price."

Wentworth chuckled a little bit. "Khem Adam is an individual who is using the religious history of his people in order to try and establish power, his xenophobic and racist attitudes are no secret. It's well known that he seeks to capitalise on fears of United States intervention to further his own goals. He's bordering on being a terrorist." Iris wrote all this down, it was true that Khem-Adam was known for his violent tendencies, indoctrination and rumours of torture. While this wasn't exclusively the reason she was here today, there couldn't be a conversation about Khandaq without touching on the topic of him. "This isn't why you're here though, is it Miss. West?"

She nodded her head. "Of course Professor. However you must understand the line of questioning, when discussing this magnificent exhibit and it's security the topics of Khem-Adam, Metahumans and the various crime lords active in New York City are all relevant. You can't have one conversation without the other."

Wentworth nodded, however before he could retort a group of individuals came crashing through a nearby window. She counted at least five, most of them wore black outfits except for one who wore a green striped shirt, he too however wore a balaclava over his face. Something about the way he moved though, it didn't seem quite right. "Everybody stay where you are, you're all now ho-"

Iris let the lightning burn through her as she took off. She didn't start by disarming the men, or moving for them. Doing that would likely give up her secret, what she started with was clearing the room of civilians just trying to enjoy the exhibit of the diamond. As the siren started to wail barely a second after they crashed through into the museum, she moved into the next room. Full of tapestries and other arts related to Khandaq. As she grabbed a teenage boy wearing glasses she deposited him in the street, she could almost swear that the girl she was with started to turn to face her as she returned for her. Dropping them both in an alley just outside of the museum. Skidding to a halt on front of the gunmen, cowl raised and mask in place.

"You guys couldn't have had worse luck if you tried."

Running straight at them, she saw the muzzle flash as the guns went off. Stepping to the side as she approached a bullet, she pointed it towards the ground. Moving from bullet to bullet, them barely moving compared to her, she pointed them all in directions where they couldn’t possibly harm anyone. Gunmen had become easy for her, once upon a time she had struggled to take down an armed robber, while she wasn’t bulletproof she sure as hell was faster than one.

Pulling guns from hands she threw them all at the otherside of the room far away from trouble.

“I know you guys are used to a different Superhero around here, but you should really think about different career prospects. Crime doesn’t really pay.” The men just chuckled, which she was starting to learn was never a good sign in her chosen career. While she heard other windows smashing nearby, she turned around expecting someone to be standing there with a shot lined up to take her out. Then something hit her, hard.

It was goofy and over the top as fuck, which is something the Punisher can do with. For all the praise Punisher MAX gets, during Ennis' run there were plenty of darkly comedic and goofy shit in those issues. Is it bad? Sure. But for me it ventured into the "so bad it's good" territory. And the people bitched about it not adapting the source material? Boo fucking hoo. It's not like this movie wipes away the comics that came before it and somehow sullied the mighty legacy of the Punihser, the same guy who fucking tried to kill Archie and was once FrankenCastle.

I feel like too many other comic book fans complain about stuff not being "genuine" or "follow the source material". Do you want it too though? If it follows it too closely where's the anticipation or the surprise?

Also while I love Iris as my character. She's great, with Season 1 coming to a Close in a Month and me on the home stretch.... if anyone else who is here wants to try their hand at writing her then I'd welcome it. Gotta ask me nicely though, as I do love the character.
Punisher: War Zone.

You've said the movie, now the why. NOW THE WHY DAMNIT!
As a more controversial conversation topic. We all know there have been some, questionably bad Superhero Films.

Of these films typically regarded to be bad, awful or 'eyeballs burning' bad, which is your favourite and why?

Mine is Aang Lees 'HULK'. Now, I know what you're going to say. As a Hulk fan I should be flogged, cut into tiny little pieces and fed to cats. If you just hold on, I got a couple of reasons.

1) I liked Absorbing Man. I may not of liked who it was, or how they did it. Though I did like seeing an adaptation of the concept.
2) I enjoyed the broken dynamic, Bruce Banner is a terribly mentally wounded individual. While the Incredible Hulk didn't really show that, and the Avengers films seem to have him be a bit more comical, lighthearted and fatherly to the group.
3) I enjoyed Betty and Bruce' relationship a lot more, it just felt more natural to me but maybe that's because you saw it a little bit before he was the Hulk. Instead of just "take my word for it, they were lovers once."
4) This is the most important. I love the way they played with the Hulk/Banner dynamic. As anyone in this who knows me when I talk abou tthe Hulk I love the interpersonal relationship the two of them have and how it works. Incredible Hulk didn't really work on that, it was just Banner learning to 'control' it. Rather than the two of them not getting along. It's kind of been touched on in Hulk films but easily not as good as seeing this little bit.
