The Big X folks who are accounted for, at absolute bare minimum. Vex, Rythian, and Lewis. Also, Uncle Sage and the rest of the gang Dad knew from old Earth. That's about ten-ish very capable people with their own resources all at their disposal.

I think the time frame doesn't matter so much. The Big X operates by a buddy system of sorts, so even when no one knows where he is, you should always be able to count on Vex to know. Even if he can't tell you where he is and what he's doing, he could at least verify that he did know. But he doesn't. Neither do any of the others for the other Big X members.
