[Shiny Keldeo]

Welcome! If you're reading this, than you decided to drop by for a visit and check out my profile! If not, then why are you still reading this right now?

The name's Keldeo, Shiny Keldeo. I joined the Guild about a two years ago after my first forum fizzled out. I thought I knew what I was doing with Roleplay when I came on the scene, when in reality I had barely scratched the surface of what I had to learn.

My first few RPs went bust, but with each failure I gained valuable experience to learn from, and eventually I started up a fairly successful RP known as Digimon: As the Lights Fade. However, it eventually went bust as over half the RPers, including my Co-GM, poofed and dropped without much warning.

Then came two of my longest running RPs. Pokemon: Legendary Guardians and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Shadows of the Past. Both were filled with great characters and I made a ton of new RP friends in them. Sadly, too many problems arose in both, and I was forced to shut them down.

I wasn't done with Legendary Guardians, however, and rebooted it to try my hand at it once more. So far, it's still going strong, thanks to dedicated people like Ninian and Light Lord, who've helped it stay alive through it all. I'm still not done yet, there's still more creative genius in me waiting to be tapped into!

Roleplay Information

I like to stick to Casual mostly. I've never tried anything in Advanced, but I just can't do anything in Free. I like to include way more dialog and information in my posts than I can post in Free.

I usually prefer to RP with Multiple Characters. It's easier for me to say more and do more, whether that being a Digidestined with a Digimon, a Pokemon Trainer with their Pokemon, or multiples of either.

Speaking of which, there are several subjects to which I usually work with in RP. The biggest being Pokemon. I'm up for (almost) anything, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, or just being a normal Trainer is completely fine with me. Other interests include Digimon, Star Wars, and various other subjects that would be too numerous to name here.

Good to see some interest building here. The basic premise for this RP is going to be somewhat of a twist on the traditional Pokemon RP. Ten trainers, most of which have never met one another before, come to the far away Viore Region, drawn by its rich but lost history, diverse Pokemon population, and the draw of the Viore League Tournament.

I'm trying to leave many elements unknown, as to help the story progress and such. The important things will be revealed at the start, and eventually some minor things will fall into place as the RP progresses. I'm trying to make this a more character driven RP, so your character's decisions will impact how the story progresses.

Speaking of Revealing things, here's some info on Legendary Guardians and a Character Sheet if you want to whip one up.

Now obviously the purpose and abilities of the Legendary Guardians are somewhat spelled out here. Legendary Guardians partnered with Legendary Pokemon to protect the Viore Region in times past. Obviously, something is going to happen that will call upon a new generation of Legendary Guardians. And yes, they will receive some special powers.

And last but not least, a Character Sheet for you to use at your leisure.

Selena

Gender: Female

Pokémon: Bayleef

Ability: Leaf Guard

Moveset:

  • Razor Leaf
  • Solarbeam
  • Safeguard
  • Protect

Personality: She can be quite skittish around strangers, even after evolving from Chikorita. She absolutely hates fighting, but her father, a Venusaur, made sure she could easily defend herself if need be. She tends to frequent the same places every day, following the set schedule she has developed over a lot of years. If she makes a friend, it is something she will cherish forever. That being said, she doesn't have too many friends... She tends to be treated as somewhat of an outcast due to her personality. It visibly shows most of the time, due to her being unable to properly control her emotions.

Backstory: Selena was born in Folio Town to a Venusaur named Brute and a Meganium named Leanne. Her parents lived on the outskirts of the town. Due to this, she had little interaction with other kids her age. She lived a solitary life, with her family being her only anchor. Things were soon to change however.

When a cooking accident burned down the family's home, they were forced to move into town. This was the first time she had been into town, and Selena was terrified. Suddenly she had been thrust into a world in which she had no clue how to act. Sure, some Pokemon tried to make friends with her at first. But each time she would end up running away, not used to having friends.

Over time her father trained her almost day and night, something she loathed with a passion. She hated fighting, and thus hated the training her father put her through. Soon the training triggered her evolution into a Bayleef, something that caught her off guard and caused her to become more reclusive than before. She completely stopped training and ended up spending a lot of time dangerously close to the entrance to the Folio Trunk.

Slowly she has started to come out of her shell a little, spending small amounts of time near the Town Plaza. Sadly, by this time, most of the kids her age and evolutionary stage treat her as an outcast and tend to avoid and make fun of her. She is very clearly hurt by this rejection, often running off in tears as she can't control her emotions well. She continues to search for someone who understands her position and would be her friend.

Team: None

Guild Affiliation: TBD
Granted. Unfortunately, you will be physically unable to do most of the things you promise due to the wonderful US Congress, which is too busy squabbling to actually come to any kind of decision. And if you use Executive Orders for it all it will be caught up in controversy, Supreme Court Decisions due to questioning the constitutionality of the use of the order, and many other roadblocks that will prevent you actions from doing the good you wish to do. Congrats, you are the official figurehead of the absolutely perfect United States of America!

I Wish M. Night Shamalan that "The Last Airbender" and "Dragonball Evolution" never existed in. The Exact Quoted Movie Forms at least.
Keep in mind that this is currently a work in progress. This is an advancement from my previous attempt, and I am currently working on many features that will take a bit more time to complete. This is just a taste of what I have done, much more is on the way.

Far In The Past...

It was a time of conflict. Warring kingdoms battled for absolute control of the land. The magical creatures we once referred to as gods were now used to fight battles for the ones that now control them. One King refused to fight, knowing that war would destroy everyone and everything. He desperately sought for a way to end the conflict once and for all.

He consulted a Wise Man, who told him of the powerful Dragon that held the power to end the strife and conflict. The King, unknowing of what truly awaited him, set off on a quest to find this Dragon. After many weeks, he stood at the base of a massive mountain. With great determination he climbed the mountain to its peak, where he met the great Dragon. He begged the Dragon to aid him, to end the war once and for all.

The dragon granted his request, and in a single day, every war raging across the land was ended. The King, who had summoned the great Dragon, now stood as the most powerful king in the land, the true ruler of the land. He asked the great Dragon once more if he would help him keep peace and security in the land, and the Dragon agreed.

Many seasons passed, and the King grew old and gray. Soon the time came for him to pass on into a new life. Before this, he left control of his kingdom to his Son, and the Dragon pledged to help him achieve what his father had. However, the Son held great darkness in his heart. After taking power, the power he now held quickly corrupted him. He became cruel, harsh, and unjust. He turned the Dragon into his slave, and forced him to punish any who stood in his way.

No one could stand against such power, they thought. And for many seasons, this was the case. Soon though, the Wise Man who had told the King about the Dragon, gathered a group of seemingly random people, and imbued them with the marks of magical creatures. He then sent them out on a quest to find the magical creature that would respond to their mark.

And so they did. After a season had passed, all had returned with the creature the mark responded to. Now, the Wise Man told them they must fight the new King, and free the great Dragon from his control. Many thought they were crazy, but soon they came into battle against him. The castle he resided in was almost completely destroyed in the battle. When the dust cleared and the last of the rubble fell, the new King was at his knees. Revoked of his power and stripped of his title, he was banished to the unknown reaches of the world as punishment for his crimes.

After this, the ones who defeated him became known as the Guardians. They eventually disappeared, leaving but one word for all of history. "Should this power be needed again, a new generation of Guardians will be chosen by powers barely fathomable to us. They will carry on the legacy, the hope, and future of this land!"

In Modern Times...

The Viore Region is an amazing place filled with Pokemon found all over the world. The variety here is unmatched, and some believe that there may even be undiscovered Pokemon here! It attracts Trainers from all over the world, who want to come and experience a journey of a lifetime. All kinds of trainers, young and old, fresh or veteran, but also good and evil.

Along with being a PokeManiac's paradise, it is also scattered with ruins and legends of a time long forgotten. A time when most Pokemon were revered as gods, Pokeballs didn't exist, and rival kingdoms and clans were almost always at war with one another. Some legends have completely faded from history, while others remain as fairy tales, child's bedtime stories per say.

However, some believe the legends are much more than just legends, and wish to control the power spelled out in them. One organization has become prominent in this, Team Royal Skies. Their goal is unknown, but they have operatives across Viore searching for something... nobody knows exactly what except for them, and they aren't talking.

However, they are right about one thing. Many of these legends are much more than the bedtime stories they have become, as a small group of trainers will soon see for themselves. I said before they would be going on the journey of a lifetime, but these few will have a VIP pass to the main event of the century.
Sorry, been busy this past week or two. Finals, Job Hunts, you get the picture. If you're in the Collab thing (@Iatos @Polaris North), I'll start working asap.

@Iatos Accepted, but if you were making him kind of an antagonist character, that ship has pretty much sailed.
@Ninian @Light Lord Working on a second character if possible. Nothing game breaking.

Breeze the Shaymin, Folio Town, The Blue Treeko Inn

@Ninian @Light Lord @Crimson Flame @Lucius Cypher
She had to admit, for a town almost completely cut off from civilization for so long, it was, well, pretty civilized. When they got to what she believed to be the local Inn, something kind of confused her. It was called the Blue Treeko, yet it seemed that a Servine was the only Pokemon working there. In a small town like this, there wouldn't be much need for staff for such an establishment, so she pegged the Servine as the owner of the Inn.

The group were given a table with some menus. There wasn't much on the list, but at least they had some nice dishes. "I'm probably going to get that Oran Berry Salad with some water. I can pay for that myself, of course." The group began to chat about what brought them to Folio Town, and what they were going to do from then on. The Aron, who's name was Gren, was going on some kind of quest.

The Totodile, Devon it seemed, was found in some kind of Mystery Dungeon, apparently located inside the massive tree the town was nestled in. It sounded very dangerous, especially for such a low level like the Totodile. Time to speak up she guessed. "I came for the adventure. Not many Pokemon have been to this town before, and when I heard about it, I had to come see for myself. It was kind of bittersweet, though. Just before coming here, my team... disbanded..." She didn't want to talk about it, it just kind of popped into her head. "I won't talk about it much, I don't want to ruin everyone's good moods."

Then she noticed something through the doorway she was positioned at. That flash, it was unmistakable to an adventurer like herself, she had used the very same thing multiple times. It was the residue from an Escape Orb. "Did anyone else see that? Someone just used an Escape Orb out there..." It worried her. After what she had heard about this 'Folio Trunk' Dungeon nearby, it might be some injured Pokemon or something...
Been busy, haven't had much time to post. I'll get something up tonight though.
Breeze the Shaymin, Folio Town Plaza

@Ninian @Light Lord
The dizzy spell slowly subsided, Breeze shaking her head as her vision cleared. "Thanks... and sorry, I haven't been making the wisest of decisions lately, I probably should have stocked up more." This was certainly embarrassing, a great first impression she was making indeed. "I'm glad the Pokemon in this town are so friendly and helpful, this is my first time flying solo in..." She stopped there, she stopped thinking immediately. She didn't want to think about it, she didn't want to acknowledge the memory's very existence, period.

She noticed her downcast expression right away and righted herself immediately. It was those moments many Pokemon could read her like an open book. She looked back to the Umbreon and Totodile. "Food sounds good, thank you. And yes, after something to eat and a short nap I should be fine." Mostly fine, she thought to herself. Since that thing happened, she hadn't been fine at all. Right now, she just wanted to ease the worry of the Pokemon here.
