ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

HIGHSCHOOL TEACHERS

Name: Fran Reyriver
Age: 26
Race: Earth Human
Nationality: Eastern Europe
Overview: The mysterious and often-missing Fran is a teacher at the highschool level, teaching History. Due to her frequent absence however she was rejected from teaching archaeology and ancient history at the university level, though her apprentice was accepted. Those who claim to have seen her will insist that she is a true beauty, but she’s so rarely seen that no one can but take people’s word for it. Fact of the matter is she’s blunt, and despite her appearance, lacks grace in her dialogue. It can be said she is quite brutal too.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: Fran is a master of the art of magic knights. Using magic rather than ki to embolden her abilities, but applying magical power similarly to Ki, as inherent energy rather than manipulated energy. As a result she by default has a strong resistance to magical disruption, allowing her to venture through unknown areas that are dense with mana, and as the magic is already flowing through her in such a way, spells she casts as buffs upon herself take an enhanced effect, being internal rather than external. She also has mastery of water magic, and is a peerless swordsman in her own right. The main threat from her, is her strength combined with indomitability, stemming from her appliance of magical energy, and her water magic allows her to make up for any other shortcomings to some extent.

Name: Maeleene Rainroad
Age: 24
Race: Earth Human
Nationality: Eastern Europe
Overview: The Substitute Teacher for History class, substituting for her master Fran. However it is a normal mistake to think she is the main teacher, since she takes almost 90% of the classes taught for history, for the pure fact she’s not always missing. Maeleene herself is a rather friendly girl with a seething frustration beneath that smile, to which she won’t hesitate to vent at any opportune moment, often violently. Thus it’s only ever seen if there is any serious misconduct.

Tier: Advanced

Combat Data: Similar to her master, she is also a Magic Knight style mage, using martial abilities with magic as a source rather than ki. However she is a bit more of a caster than her master, using a combination of offensive magic and fencing to keep opponents at an ideal distance, while she pelts them with relentless assaults away from relative harm. Despite being the student, she is the one who knows more spells.

Name: Utsumi Shichimori
Age: 25
Race: Earth Human
Nationality: Tokyo
Overview: Seemingly unremarkable from a glance, Utsumi is an accomplished professor on magical studies, and teaches the subject for the highschool level. His analytical skills have led many of his peers to point out that he could be a great mage, yet he has no ambition to become stronger. His own competency was merely a result of his passion for his work. If he's not teaching, he's either doing some research on current events within Arcanis, or travelling if he has more than a few days off.

Tier: Advanced

Combat Data: Utsumi has few unique talents, in fact his only unique talent is his analytical ability, being able to break down the performance of his enemies, and his students, which has led him to become an excellent teacher. There is only one thing he is known for and that is his ability to use delayed cast spells to such an intensely specific timing and degree it feels as if he's ten steps ahead. He also has a personally expanded Scan spell that can display the information of up to 24 people at a time. Normally when this spell is in use (as he's shared it with other mages) they require several people to be keeping track, making it a portable headquarter. However his mental acuity has allowed him to effectively keep track of all 24 on his own. He has a command over a wide variety of basic or accessible spells as well.

Name: Kaidan Bakusatsu
Age: 32
Race: Earth Human
Nationality: Japanese, Okinawa
Overview: The bombastic master of ninjutsu, and PE teacher for Silver Gate Academy. He keeps his real name hidden and goes by Kaiden while at the school. Known for his more than spirited approaches to fitness and sometimes extreme training regiments which he says is for training ninja (it isn’t), he’s still a well-loved teacher for how kind-natured he is deep down.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: Kaidan being a master of ninjutsu specifically in the Keiwa clan style originating from ninja residing in Okinawa, means he makes great use of forestry. Like all ninja who reach an advanced level, he is also capable of manipulating his environment using powerful ninjutsu that utilize chakra, which is a special blend of Ki formed by a specific method. He has access to a wide variety of summons, tools such as his signature nails, and his heftier than normal power and body for combat, as ninja are not typically trained for direct hand to hand situations, which gives him an unexpected edge if people know what to expect from a ninja. He’s also a master of a variety of martial arts, as he’s also at times a teacher for that topic as well.

UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS

Name: Kreydon Ashcroft
Age: 32
Race: Beastkin, Snow Leopard
Nationality: Northern Tundra, Country of Crystis Talon
Overview: The esteemed professor of the business and commerce studies, quite a popular man among women, but only until they work with him. His policies and ethics are ruthless in efficiency and effectiveness, making him a difficult man to keep up with, as such it can be expected that those who study and train closely under him are just as skilled as he is. He is a master of ice magic, summoning, rituals, swordsmanship, and bartitsu.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: Kreydon is a master of general ice magic, as well as his family's brand of it. He has a distinction in his ability to summon, as well as some light necromancy skill, allowing him to create allies in combat. It makes him a decent yet very strict teacher when teaching magic, and as a result of his summoning and necromancy skill, will often forgo fighting himself, leaving his summons and reanimations to do the work. Not to say his CQC abilities are bad, in fact they're excellent, and often catch many of his opponents off-guard when they finally fight through his minions.

Name: Kirizanto Kuuto
Age: 28
Race: Earth Human
Nationality: Kyoto, Japan
Overview: Heir to the Kirizanto family, a family of demon slayers and exorcists, as well as master swordsmen. Kuuto himself teaches law, and is only a professor for the university. His classes are strict and precise, as he notes, if the law is not precise, it’s worthless. His ethics are excellent, and generally to many people he seems quite a cold character. In truth though, he is not unkind, only measured in his responses.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: The sword form he uses is called the Horizon between Heaven and Earth, one of the three pillar forms of the Kirizanto style. His skill with this form is the best that the family has ever seen, it also being one of the most difficult forms to boot. Naturally he can use the other two forms, as well, but always refers to this one. He is also able to use exorcism and Shinto mysticism, in particular the use of talismans and seals. He is also able to summon Shikigami, but does not rely on them for combat.

Age: 32
Race: Arcanis Human
Nationality: Maxillius Arcture
Overview: The egotistical Knight of the Flamberge, a legendary sword of flames that he wields with peerless skill. He teaches the art of war for knights and is a guest instructor for swordsmanship at Silver Gate Academy. He also teaches at the Garadin Knights Academy and is constantly seeking talented knights or warriors to join his Order of the Ember, his personal regiment of knights, to which many of the knights of Maxillius have their own. Despite his egotistical nature, it is merely out of confidence out his abilities. In other fields he will defer to others, which makes him unexpectedly easy to work with. He is also a womaniser, it is not uncommon for him to try and recruit female knights to little avail.

Tier: Master

Combat Data: Arabad is a peerless swordsman, and a powerful war mage besides that. The distinction between the vaunted Spell Knights and a War Mage is their application of magic. War mages more directly use magic in tandem with their martial abilities, rather than making magic their source of martial strength. Arabad as such is a capable warrior using both his physical attributes and strength, while using magic to give him the extra edge. He has expectedly mastery over fire magic, and has skills in wind magic for combinations, but the most powerful aspect of his arsenal is his weapon the Flamberge. The ultimate sword of flames that was formed from an ancient dragon of the same name, it’s flames burn so strongly that they cannot be extinguished by water, and also act as a catalyst for his fire magic, adding it’s inextinguishable quality to his magic, and increasing their power near tenfold.

Name: Reginwald Karlsz von Venedice II
Age: 66
Race: Arcanis/Earth Human
Nationality: German
Overview: Reginwald is an accomplished historian in both Arcanis and Earth, though with how much of Earth history has been uncovered, he focuses much of his efforts to Arcanis history, and by extension, magical research. He only happened upon magical research halfway through his career, which only began when his findings in Arcanis increasingly became connected to the secrets of magic. To him, discovering the secrets of magical history was just as important as the history itself, as it can answer a lot of questions puzzling historians today. His family line began in the 1800s when an Arcanis couple happened to tumble into Germany. It took years but eventually they gave up trying to get back, as ways back had not yet been established. Reginwald is the 5th generation from that family. His last name comes from an Arcanis noble house, to which in his twenties had reconnected.

Tier: Advanced

Combat Data: Often taking combat help he himself is not much of a fighter, in fact his main form of fighting is using summons and familiars anyway, which he already uses to help him organize his office. He is all you would expect from a summoner and scribe. Meticulously planned and written rituals prepared and studied, various summons to make up for their shortcomings, and on hand many ways to sacrifice for, or catalyze a summon. His strongest art is to burn a book, which can summon a historical figure as historically accurate as the book portrays them. As such, a book of facts may be better for him to study the figures and events quickly, but for combat he carries a few fantasy novels, where these figures possess profound power. Though his ranking as a mage is fairly low compared to other professors, his summons and rituals can make him a formidable opponent should he be prepared or have materials on hand.

Ramyu Tal'saif

Feline Beastman of Gran Harenae

Overview

Ramyu is the youngest known practitioner of the Mountain Breaker style-- at the age of just five she began training under the supervision of an adoptive father to be put to work in the gladiator arenas. It was a rigorous process that left little time for development of any other skills, or friendships. After ten years of harsh training she was let into the ring and started out as a trend, before becoming an absolute phenomenon. 2 years going strong was enough for her existence to reach the ears of academy heads, and her prowess was recognized. As such, they sent out a missive letting her know that she was free to apply, travel expenses payed. The letter reached her before her adoptive father, and bringing it up caused the both of them to get into a harsh fight. Against his wishes she left anyways, seeking to finally make her own choices in life, and stop playing for the crowd. She is a relatively recent addition to the school, and her only friend as of now is Edward Lachance. He was the first person to ever give her a gift that she genuinely wanted, without any expectation of recompense or to push her training further: a strawberry parfait. 

Combat Data - Skilled (C)

Despite being a 17 year old girl, and a feline beastman, Ramyu is incredibly strong. She uses the Mountain Breaker style, dual-wielding two massive great swords in a showy, flippant style that is equal parts acrobatic, dangerous and hard to approach. Spins and leaps, even while wielding her massive weapons, are her forte. She deals harsh damage and is able to keep multiple melee fighters at bay, but any other form of combat is hard to combat.
