Name: Nikkolaira “Nikki” Wyatt
Age: 22
Appearance: Nikki’s an active young woman that’s always on the go, and her figure reflects that. She’s quite shapely, and prefers to wear flattering clothes, generally showing as much tanned skin as she can get away with. She loves black clothing, and it’s always something that lets her move freely and won’t get in the way when she’s up to her usual activities. She generally wears a pair of woven bracelets with amber and green stones, and shoes are usually a pair of solid-soled sandals with straps so she doesn’t lose them. Her blonde hair she keeps trimmed at her jawline, and her light brown eyes are lively. She has a wide grin, and some form of a smile is her standard expression.

Personality: She’s a nice person, if perhaps overly exuberant, though her tendency to tease and play pranks can certainly seem mean. But she wouldn’t wish ill on anyone, and is more or less harmless, so long as her life isn’t threatened. Nikki’s approach to life is one of humor and gleeful optimism, diving headlong into every opportunity that comes her way. When she decides to do something, she commits herself fully and holds nothing back. Life is something to be enjoyed, and she plans to do that to the utmost. Unfortunately, her thirst for excitement and frequent lack of foresight mean that she doesn’t necessarily think things through, and that can land her in sticky situations. At least she’s pretty creative when it comes to innovative solutions to problems, though not all of them would be wise to attempt. She actively courts disaster, be it trying crazy stunts or stealing a bun from a food stall for the thrill of getting chased. She revels in danger, carefully balancing on the line between wild and downright crazy. It’s a good thing she seems to have excellent luck. Telling her not to do something is one of the best ways to get her to try; if you don’t want her to eavesdrop, you’re better off discussing something boring for a bit instead of lowering your voice.

Weapon: Nikki is fairly good with knives, and usually carries a couple on her. Her favorites is a small but sharp karambit of superb craftsmanship.
Other: She’s quick and agile, with an ability to keep her feet under her even in difficult situations that would put many cats to shame. She’s also an excellent climber and very flexible. She is the daughter of a merchant, and so has a good eye for quality items. She turned to stealing mostly for the thrill, and ran away from home in her teen years when she was told she wouldn’t get to inherit her father’s business.

Paige Samira

Name: Paige Samira (originally Emily Dilysse)
Age: 17
Appearance: She’d tell you her hair is the color and texture of straw, but it’s really more of a wheat-blonde. It’s just to her shoulders, though she always has it pinned up and back, often with some sort of simple hairsticks. She has khaki green eyes and a snub, upturned nose. She prefers nice dresses, but since leaving home with Miry and the others she usually settles for very simple skirts and frocks, or just loose trousers to go with her plain tunics. She’s only 5’3”, though she frequently jokes that she’s at least taller than Miry.

Personality: To those she doesn’t know well, Emily comes across as quiet, withdrawn and a bit awkward. To her friends, she’s a sweetie with a generous heart. She’s very critical of herself, including about her looks, and often gets flustered or upset when she makes mistakes. She has trouble seeing her good traits, nor is it easy for her to accept a compliment. She tends to be optimistic, though she doesn’t smile nearly as much, even among friends, since the death of her mother. She can be a bit of a mother hen, fussing over things more than might be necessary. Threaten someone she cares about, particularly Miry, and the shy mouse will turn into a fierce mama bear, defending that person with force if necessary. Otherwise she hates fighting -- and stealing, for that matter.

Weapon: Emily was in training to be a Queensguard, so she’s pretty good with a few different weapons. Her preference is for polearms and staves, but she has reasonable skill with knives, and she knows the basics of swords. Her other favored weapons are a bit less standard. The bladed fan is a favorite, and long needles or very thin knives make excellent hair accessories.
Other: Her father was a stablehand, and the girl learned to ride young. As a result, she’s very comfortable around horses and can handle them well.
She has been good friends with Miry for years, and worked as her maid. Her mother was one of the princess’s maids as well, and the girls first met when they were children. Mother and child both helped the disowned princess make it to freedom, but Emily’s mother was injured in the escape, and died not long after.
She has feelings for Winter, but hasn’t said anything to him about it, nor to anyone else.

Bits

Name: Samantha Quinn, but those in the camp have taken to calling her “Two-Bits” or mostly just “Bits”, since she’s not told anyone her name.
Age: 7
Appearance: Bits is a slight child, though she’s no longer dangerously thin, as she was when she arrived. She still has little extra fat, and looks more spindly than anything else. She has long dark brown hair that is usually a bit messy. It covers a portion of her face, and she uses it as a shield between herself and others. Her eyes are a deep blue and often shadowed. She has a sharp chin, and pronounced cheekbones. Her clothing is a bit ragged, with the skirt obviously cut from something longer so she won’t trip on it, fraying at the bottom and gathered in tight at the waist with a bit of rope. Her shirts are a bit big too, bunching up at the shoulders in particular. She has a jacket as well, and when she wears it the folds turn her into more of a puffy blob than a person, with the hem falling halfway down her thigh.

Personality: The girl is painfully shy, and has yet to say anything to anyone. She avoids eye contact and doesn’t want to stay around other people for any length of time. She’s very skittish, frightening easily and frequently spooked into running off. She seems afraid of weapons. She’s uneasy around swords and bows in particular, and it’s even odds she’ll flee if she so much as sees one. She was first spotted skulking around the edge of camp a year and a half ago, and it took a good deal of coaxing before she’d come anywhere near other people. Even now, it’s not entirely clear where she sleeps. She doesn’t stay in any of the known tents, nor at Tomcat’s place.

Weapon: none. She has a small knife, but it’s strictly a tool.
Other:She can’t stand the sight of blood, turning faintly green at the sight. She’s also very good at hiding, and at wiggling into small places.
She tends to avoid others, but she's friends with a very few people in the camp. Delshad is one, and oddly enough Prince is another.

Delshad

Name: Delshad
Age: 39

Appearance: Delshad is a large man, tall and broad and well-fed, though a few years in the camp have turned a large portion of his pudge into muscle. He has dark skin and darker hair, usually done in a bunch of tiny braids. He keeps himself clean-shaven, and his face is creased by deep laugh lines and crow's feet. There’s a couple wrinkles in his brow as well, but these are not nearly so pronounced. The man usually has on a cook’s apron, and he keeps his sleeves rolled up if they fall past his elbows. It is not unusual for there to be smudges of flour on his person.

Personality: A good-natured man, Delshad is quick with a smile or a kind word. He loves cooking and it is his life’s mission to make sure the inhabitants of Crescent Dagger Camp always have the best food he can possibly make with the supplies he has. He is highly attuned to what goes on in his “kitchen”, and while he can no longer press various treats upon all visitors he tries to at least have a few spare ones for those who are especially young, especially needy, or both. In his opinion, food is the cure to a lot of problems. If someone has a cold, then it’s chicken broth. A sore throat is soothed by one sort of tea, and the nightmares of children by another. A bad day can be improved by a pastry or sweetmeat, along with a listening ear. He gives advice freely, to the best of his ability, and he exudes contentment with his place in the world and a sense of general well-being.

Weapon: None, but he’s strong that his bare fists can do a good amount of damage.

Other:
Wasting food is a /huge/ no. Don’t let him catch you trying to sneak your vegetables into the compost. Firstly, there’s likely someone that will eat it if you won’t, and secondly you need to eat them to stay healthy. A number of the camp’s younglings have learned this the hard way, given extra kitchen duty after getting caught trying to dispose of unsavory menu items. Now it’s more a matter of finding someone willing to “steal” something they don’t like off their plate, though that too is frowned upon. Nikki has also been taught a lesson she won’t soon forget, after wrecking a large portion of a meal by switching the salt and the sugar.

Taking food without asking is also a no, and all but impossible if he’s present. However if you actually ask he is far more willing, and reasonable requests are usually met. Even if he can’t accommodate someone, Delshad usually finds something to send them off with, even if it’s a mere nibble.

He is a brilliant cook, and can make a good meal from just about anything. He is likewise able to stretch supplies farther than one would expect. These two abilities have lead to more than a few whispers that he uses some sort of magic in his cooking. He doesn’t -- it’s all skill -- but that doesn’t make it any less impressive.

Delshad was the head cook for a wealthy merchant with refined tastes. He’d worked hard for his position after he finished his training as a chef, and prided himself on his skill and creativity in the kitchen. He earned a bit of local fame for it, but when someone out to hurt his employer engineered things so Delshad would take the fall, he found himself with no job and a destroyed reputation. He misses the fine, varied, and readily available ingredients that he used to have to work with, but there’s a different sort of accomplishment in meeting the challenges presented by his new position. He was bitter about it for a while, but there’s no sense in crying over spilt milk and Delshad has come to love the thieves of Crescent Dagger, and looks after them every bit as well as he looked over his old household.
