Current The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation.

They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@Dulcet It's more like I throw anything that might be vaguely interesting in his direction hoping some will stick because we never end up in the same rps. =P And man, he wrote this thing and I read it and *shudders* so creepy. /Good/, but creepy. It'll be fun, if it works. ...And probably infuriate Alys, but oh well. I'll either figure out how to have her not go BSOD or just watch from an authorial distance. <3
@FallenTrinity She'd admire his efficiency, and if it's clear he works with a level head, that as well. He embodies a number of her values. So there's respect, some admiration. She'd see him as a worthwhile ally or a dangerous foe, though obviously he is neither at the moment. But she does think ahead.
@FallenTrinity If he's a renown general, it would be clear who he works for. And so much for not bunching up. =P Spring and Summer have had few people from the beginning. Though Spring is currently...indisposed? *laughs*

Anyhow, if he's Fall then he has never encountered Sini in battle save perhaps as a reluctant ally. An official attack by Fall on Spring or vice versa would have started a war, and it would have gone until Falk or Nyx was dead, I imagine. ...I suppose he might have done a false-flag raid or something? But if Sini recognized him there would be serious trouble, so it's best that she didn't.

However, he is welcome to have heard of her, and she has certainly heard of him. ^.^
@FallenTrinity As far as I know, Spring has not been involved in any major wars outside of unapproved raids and unaligned fey or outside threats, not since Sini started serving as a guard and then a knight. I can't even begin to speculate until I know who he's fighting for, however. It sounds like Winter?
@LadyRunic Hmm, potentially. Seems a bit OOC for Duska, given her care in avoiding other children, but perhaps. I'll certainly consider it. Thanks!
@LadyRunic He lets them try, and doesn't call them back, and then punishes them if they don't...what?

Sini would have faced issues as a younger fey, and she didn't. For that matter, Duska wouldn't have /had/ a halfbreed child, if it was such an issue. *frowns thoughtfully* I mean, I guess it's not really important? But it's gonna bother me unless I can come up with justification. So why would Duska have a child that would be at a disadvantage...?
@LadyRunic I really can't play a character that doesn't fit the setting. =/ If there was no way for Sini to gain recognition, I've no idea what to do. Same if halfbreeds are looked down on -- and I thought bedding people from other courts wasn't that uncommon, either. @.@

Right, my definition of freely (and possibly the legal one) is /without/ duress. You mean the person makes the decision, though they may be forcibly persuaded, or do it to avoid serious consequences. Got it. Though if /most/ won't, I do wonder how Falk managed to get an entire court to willingly give him theirs. Probably took some doing. *amused* Anyhow, if Falk has their names, they /can't/ leave -- he'd just have ordered them not to. Not sure why he things a winter fey was from fall, but whatever. That's his problem, and the kid's dead now.

I know what indentured servants are. It was more the way you phrased things that threw me. I wasn't sure what was going on. I'm still chafing at the idea of being restricted in where you live and unable to switch, at least for the common fey, since you sorta automatically belong to the court you're born in, but eh. Either I'll sort that out myself or I won't.

@BlackPanther There've been conflicts between Summer and Winter since that falling out, at the very least. I thoguht there was peace recently, but before that it was mostly fighting, if not an all-out war (or several). Really, I was more looking for ones Sini might have helped with. ^.^;
Oh! I am feeling better, and intend to get Raia together over the weekend, or at least make serious headway. ^.^
@Leotamer OH dear!
@FallenTrinity If you go winter, there might be some fun conflict with Arys's newly freed knight. That could be fun~ Though hm, Sorin would predate Dagon...eh, but I think he also predates her being queen? Not one hundred percent sure how that was sorted out in the end.

With Sorin as old as he is, I am a little surprised that Dagon outranked him, but then, I suppose Dagon had loyalty to no one but Arys. That would do it.
