As someone who once unironically used grey-on-black text .... don't. Its impossible to read on OLED screens, which include most modern phones.

@YungTweak That's perfectly understandable. Provided we have the space, I will always welcome you and your character back no questions asked since you're pre-approved, should you find the time to do so.

@MegaOscarPwn I actually think I have to say no on Ragnar in this current draft. There's two big reasons for that. One is that I read the sheet and I'm concerned he has no good progression arc. Unlike most of the sheets so far, Ragnar's arc isn't obvious. I don't see a path through which he grows as a character, which makes him rather flat against the rest of the cast. You don't need to tell me what it is, but that's something that I'm concerned about and I need to know you've thought through that before I approve anything.
The second is that I'm not convinced the gimmick of being a half-breed is really utilized properly. I'm only going to approve one of those characters and any prospective half-breed will be held to a higher standard than I would other CSs (for that reason). I feel like you've made some efforts for him to shrug off the constant barrage of scorn and make some interaction with society at large possible with "Body Reading". I think those mitigating factors really negate the power of the half-breed role as a plot device (which I think is the best way to think about it: a plot device rather than an attribute).
If you were just going for a really jacked guy with a tragic backstory (cliche admittedly, but they're a dime a dozen here so its sort of a prerequisite) then I don't think you need to use the half-breed plot device for that. I would accept that as a pureblood human (maybe a half-northman for extra stockiness) without any of the resignations I currently have.
Also please pay attention to which tab you're posting in. We don't need miscellaneous chatter in the characters tab. Thanks.

And everyone, Jeezus slow down! There is one of me and about ten of you and I'm only human. I have gotten virtually nothing else done today with the marathon of questions and CSs coming in that I was expecting to be dealing with over the course of days in an int check thread, not hours on Day Zero. (You guys are awesome)

@BurningCold I'm gonna say yes on being able to sense when someone else is a chosen. As for a more direct communication, I really can't say because there's a related plot device I don't want to spoil.

Orcs are considered subhuman, and while a half-breed will lack any of the notable deficiencies of full-blood orcs, they still inherit all of the stigma. The character would be taking flak from absolutely everyone, probably including the party. Its not a role to take on lightly. I think there is a place for someone prepared to play that role but not everyone has the patience and the tolerance to endure particularly harsh in-character bigotry.

Let's go with "as far away from Artuur Vahkran and his paranoia as humanly possible" or, about the other side of Avalon from the Imperium. The free cities are kinda in the middleish, with the Imperium to the east, Baldurheim past that, and the Forests of Wrelm wrapping around the south and southwest of the free cities. I can't draw maps to save my life so I didn't.

@Drunken Conquistador Yes, that is the initial premise. I needed a metaphorical flagpole around which to rally the party and the sight of the Legion's greatest rampage seemed fitting.
@dragonmancer I read through yours a day ago actually and never got to write this. I think that ability is on the strong side (admittedly a lot of people are leaning towards the weaker side to start) but you put some early limitations on it and definitely some creativity into designing it so I give you my endorsement as well. Now that an OOC is up, I can actually do formal approve/reject. APPROVED. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Alistar preys on his shame and his rage to guide him down the path of darkness.

Just to have it on record, I cannot officially have a 15 year old seductress running around. So says various laws I have no control over. Disclaimer out of the way .... well I got nothing more to say other than WOW. That is absolutely amazing. I wish I had read that sooner!
@Scrub Mage I'm having a hard time really grasping this because its such an oddball. I want to see the oddball work, but I'm struggling to see this interacting well with the rest of the party and with the story arcs I've lined up so far. My understanding so far leads me to believe those interactions will end up unnecessarily convoluted. I don't want to shut down a concept as a whole, but I don't think I can approve that concept unfortunately.
@Whoami Well the stealth option the party was going to be given early on for dealing with Dawnguard and the Imperium is out the window! Keeping it brief, absolutely awesome. I see the potential for her abilities to be upscaled quite significantly as the story progresses and that's always a welcome addition. APPROVED. A Nexus shard ... that's gonna shine like a lighthouse to Ustizor the Ancient. Getting anywhere near Dawnguard with that in your back pocket is pretty much off the table.
