Aurolian Republic

United Republic of the Aurolian Stars

Brief Description:
The Aurolian Republic, once a defensive pact between A loose collection of then defenseless imperial colonies, is now among the Great Powers in the Galaxy, seeing itself as a beacon of true progress in a post-fall Galaxy.

Government:
A Federal Republic, the Aurolian Government is split between Three Branches, the Executive Branch, that being the Office of the Chancellor who is both the Head of the Senate and the Commander-in-Chief of the Republic Armed Forces. One of the many tasks of a Chancellor consists of the creation of Laws, the signing of articles of diplomatic importance such as treaties, to appoint judges for the Interstellar Court and so on and so forth.

The Legislative Branch, that of which being the Senate. The Senate's main tasks consist of the passing of laws brought forward by the Chancellor, passing or vetoing Legislation, and are to give consent to enact a Declaration of War, and finally there is the Interstellar Court, who are responsible for the enforcement of the Laws created by the Chancellor and passed then enacted by the Senate.

Star Systems within the Republic are partially autonomous entities who are responsible for both maintaining worlds and installations within their boundaries, and are to maintain its own defense, with their local System Defense Force to act as its shield.

SDF Militia

The System Defense Forces are responsible for both the defense and policing of the Republic's territories and holdings. Each Star System within Aurolian Space possess an SDF, each are tasked with defending and keeping the civilian population under control from threats both internal and external. Whilst they're less heavily armed and equipped then their Army and Marine counterparts, the men and women of the various SDF are more then capable to respond to any incident and threat with vigilance and are not a force to be taken very lightly.

Introduced several decades ago to replace the then aged Tricera Tank. The Ursa proved to be the much needed improvement the ground required, although much slower then compared to its Astranan counterparts, the Ursa has a thicker armor to compensate and can withstand more punishment in combat. The Ursa is outfitted with state-of-the-art weaponry, aiding in its and the crews long longevity.

Armadillo-series Modular Armored Vehicles

The Heart and soul of the Republic Army's armored divisions, the Armadillo is a well-armored modular vehicles designed to serve almost any role that the ground forces require of it. From troop and logistic transports, to light tanks, anti-air and artillery. The Armadillo's introduction into the ground forces had quickly phased out a great number of existing vehicles that had similar roles.

Culture within the Aurolian Republic is rather complicated, and differs greatly from planet to planet, each containing a unique culture and society born from it's people and surroundings. However, the Worlds of the Republic share quite a few common values, one of individualism, self-determination and liberty for the various peoples of different creeds and species. Such Human ideals had slowly, but surely spread to the non-human citizens of the Republic, both local and migrant alike, and many had grown to adopt such ideals as their own.

The Republic Military is held to a high standard and respect, seen as the ever watchful defenders of a mighty, yet fragile State against both enemies far and near, within and without, that seek its total submission and destruction.

Freedom of Religion in the Republic is also seen as a sacred right, and just as diverse, both brands of Kineticism and various Alien Religions intermingling, although friction among them is quite common.

These mechs are ancient warmachines passed down scion to scion of a given House. Also to note, these mechs are gene-locked to that House.

So, kinda like Battletech Mechs in a way.
