I started reading the Fairy Tail manga and each time I think about Prince, I can't help but imagine him as a exceed that's stuck in a human like form because of some transformation magic or curse lol

Final Fantasy VIII: Tempus Veneficarum [7/10 Slots]

Ashton took a few deep breaths as felt a brief sense of security from the impending doom of being a Sandworm's lunch, before her teal colored eyes flicked to the others to make sure everyone else made it out alright. Mostly everyone seemed alright, one of the girls used a float spell to help make the trolly of prisoners float. Brainstorming of a plan was discussed before a final consensus was formed, and the dirty blonde nodded softly in understanding, shifting the man she was carrying a bit before following the rest towards the vehicles. Watching the man, named Xerox she believed, build a metal bridge to the vehicles in a attempt to help deter the sandworms from gobbling them up.

Duncan threw some rocks before sprinting, while two others threw grenades occasionally while they ran. The worms seemed to by it as they scrambled in different directions. When finally getting to the vehicles, the tall woman panted a bit, taking deep breaths to get her bearings before looking to the others. The woman who seemed in charge of the prisoners requested assistance and the tall sniper went over, setting the unconscious man she carried carefully and secured him within a vehicle. Ashton then went to the woman with the rope and reached out and grabbed it as well. Assisting in pulling it toward the vehicle, and pulling it down to help secure the prisoners within the vehicle. So they could all get out of there as fast as possible.

Karn let out a long gasp as the choker was reattached to him and he coughed and hacked. Taking desperate intake of oxygen before his breathing finally returned to normal. Like he had just been shoved out from a air tight enclosed space and to open fresh air. Hand gripping tightly onto Sasha's hand as regained some strength. His body was weak, but he managed to sit up and rub his throat. Emerald eyes shaking a bit, full of confusion but calming down from utter panic.

"W-What happened?" The feminine boy murmured before blinking as he brushed his fingers against the dull lacrima. It was dull and lost a lot of its magical glow. "Eddie? Eddie are you alright?" he called, trying to get some sort of answer out of his Edolas counterpart. He didn't receive a answer, so he tried to sense her within him. Karn could sense a dull part, it was quiet, but she was there. It was lucky he was totally out of energy and she had a strong willpower. Otherwise he might of accidently devoured her soul.

His emerald eyes snapped toward Prince then, and immediately the young man.... boy... girlish boy... emerald eyes started to well up in tears before outright bawling. "Bwaaaaaaaaah! Claaaaaire!!! Edddddiieee I'm sowwwy! BWhaa WAaaaaa!" Karn sobbed, he tried to make a outright sprint, but his body was like jelly and he just ended up falling flat on his face and just sobbing there like a child.

Prince was too weak to move, so he just gave a purr as he was picked up. Like a lazy cat wanting to be carried. "Nyaaah.... nice to be carried by a big strong... gkk.... handsome man~" he murmured with a weak cheerful smile before his ears lowered as he felt just the worst. "Nyyyoooooooo.... healing magic....." he whispered a response to Trinity's demands to allow healing magic.

The feline's ears perked a bit as he heard Karn and he just waved weakly in response. "It's okay lovely.... This is my third time.... totally worth it to get a bear hug by a cutie...." he said good heartedly to cheer up his childhood friend up a bit.

Acheon - Mausu || Crocus || Game Stadium Stands

Acheon continued to basically ignore the spirit uncaringly. Glancing a bit as he watched Mausu climb over the railing and step up beside him. The feline boy shifting lightly as Acheon's golden eyes bore down on the ten year old. Giving a slight disappointed sigh, the adult twirled the pipe in his fingers. "You're too soft Mausu. You won't get your sister with a attitude like that. That lacrima, after all, could possibly bring anyone back." he mused.

Ears lowering ever so slightly in response, the boy shifted and stared at the ground. "...Sorry...." he murmured.

The black haired man gave a slight hum before his golden eyes examined the boy, kneeling to run the pipe around the boy's stomach. "Well.. you ate a bit of the magic. So perhaps with enough study, you can copy it. Besides.... someone like a Edolan will eventually come with us. Outsiders stick with outsiders. And Wizards don't accept anyone else but themselves. Can you control him?" he mused and asked, watching the boy slightly nod, clutching the instrument in his hands tightly.

"Good." Acheon said before glancing at the spirit and waved. "It's been fun. Do accept my apologies for hurting your Guild's pet. Didn't mean to bother him specifically. Most don't bring their pet along for such events. Especially one considered dangerous to wizards." he mused before taking out a lacrima and smashing to the ground, the two of them disappearing in a flash.

They all just seem to leave it there.

@Silver Fox I think Mausu's statement will make for interesting character development for Ariel. She knows that others in the guild have killed and might get her thinking about what she may be capable of given the wrong personality.

Literally none of my (morally good) characters are in any shape to help anybody xD

One has two giant Sabertooth sized puncture holes, entire back scraped and his head quite banged up.

The other used the entirety of his energy to the point of self harm.

And the third one is literally in a little ball xD

Now that the possible threat is gone, everyone else will probably help out.

Mausu's eyes narrowed, pupils slitting like a cats, ears swiveling back and tail lashing side to side as he was threatened. The child was obviously terrified, but he didn't heed their demands. "Y-You don't have room to talk... Your using another's soul to keep your friend alive. And you wizards Guilds seem to always murder, yet when someone else does it you don't hesitate to throw that word... You never hesitate to use someone else for your gain. I bet you killed someone. A mother. A father. A sibling. You wizards even have a slave and try to be high and mighty about it? Well... I'm just following your example." he managed his out, baring his teeth to show the lacrima, the fangs crunching against it threatenly as if to just smash it to bits.

The magical glow was quickly fading the longer the boy had it. But he glanced down to the gasping older blonde and seemed to be thinking. Watching as Karn practically choked, clawing at the ground. Mausu's ears swiveled as his fangs pressed against the lacrima tightly before he spat it out to Sasha's face.

"But. He does need to be alive to be of use later. I'll come back for him, some other time." he muttered. Pulling out his instrument and started playing it again, but in a different tune.

Suddenly, the earth started to rumble and shake before the ground began crumbling. Spikes of earth shot up and surrounded the child before sinking back into the ground and disappearing.

Prince groaned, a bit disoriented, ears slightly lifting as he heard Trinity ask a question. "Basically... A dog whistle.... Makes animals or beasts like me or Karn go crazy with too much exposure. The sound really hurts." he answered softly before glancing to Jarvis and slowly nodded.

"Yeah... I don't think my guts will fall out at least." he murmured, he tried moving again but to no avail.
