Current Man, I can't wait to roleplay as Teak Root Furniture. Sounds wild.

As Eddie Izzard once said, "Americans say 'Urbs' English people say 'Herbs', because there's a f*cking 'H' in it"

Gotta love people who comment on your RP just to leave a snarky comment about it. GG, good to see you're using your time well.

Nothing like putting a load of effort and time into a game background when people are interested after the int check, for everything to go completely dead when you post the OOC with all the info.

Lengthy OOC finally up for my mecha-based game, now to collapse and try and sleep before I go on Holiday

Bio

I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly.
I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists.
I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom.
I have a lot of fandoms, but I don't really like fandom RP's - or at least, the ones that come up. I often find them a bit lacking in ideas, or too far away from what actually makes the thing I'm a fan of enjoyable.

I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating.

I'm 42 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time.
I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones. I dig giant robots, and I love military aircraft. I'm also a very dedicated and proud Brony and furry.

Have been away visiting my folks, so not in a position to post - going back home today, so I'll get a post up later today
No problem, I've been away visiting family myself.
Yeah, it's entirely possible that our characters may well have heard of one another by reputation or have met in various ways, such as exchange programs or having flown alongside one another on joint ops, or some other way. Just check with the player so that it makes sense from both sides if you want them to have met
Excellent, well in that case, I'll be more than glad to have you with us.
Definitely still happening, and could certainly use more players and participants.
As far as post size goes, and level of detail, at least a paragraph with some level of descriptive detail and insight would be appreciated, and some effort at a good level of spelling/grammar. Not to mention keeping it consistent with what's actually happening in the RP...
As long as it's not shitposting speed-posting one-liners with not detail at all, or just random stuff that doesn't seem to have any connection to anything else or any logic to it, then I'm sure it'll be fine. And actually writing in prose-style rather than the:
*waves hello*
Hello
Style of writing.
Jesha listened attentively as the mission was explained. It was straightforward, as far as objectives went; practical and understandable in its' goals: kick the doors down, take the stuff. And the added bonus of flipping off the Empire by doing it, too.
At the mention of commandoes, she gave a slow nod and her ears flicked in thought. When the time for questions came, the Shistavanen raised a hand.
"Sir, regarding the commandoes; am I to transport them into action aboard the U-Wing?"
It seemed like the logical option to her, but she wasn't certain - hence the question of course. If it wasn't the case, then she'd presume her craft would be used in another fashion. While it was armed, it wasn't strictly a fighter. Whatever the case, she'd throw herself into the action with all she could.
Excellent, well in that case, once Rapid's character is up and completed I'll get things rolling
If there's three of us - including me - that have characters and are still interested, that's enough to keep it going, even if it is slowly rather than fast. I was just concerned that as no-one had posted anything anything at all following up from earlier posts that there was a lack of interest even from anyone who had already posted anything.
Silver chugged back and forth in the sea, as Cat leant back, supporting herself with her arms behind her, and stretching out her legs. She toed the sand with the tips of her cloven hooves, wiggling them and smiling at the sensation as she listened to Max.
She gave a slow nod in agreement with the lion's observation.
"Aye, I thought-" she cut off as a spasm of coughing caught her mid-sentence and her voice turned more raspy. She held it for a moment before trying again, grimacing briefly as she touched her throat where the shemagh-style scarf covered it, keeping it on even with her BDU shirt removed.
"I thought I was done for myself." she said with a thoughtful air. "But no, glad tae be still here and bein' a big hoofin' nusiance to all of ye wherever I can," she grinned sidelong at the lion and chuckled softly at the thought. "My brother came to visit me when I was in the hospital recovering, and the cheeky bastard said the only reason he reckoned I didna die is because I'm too bloody stubborn to go. Or like you said," she said with another lopsided smile across her broad, squarish muzzle. "I'm sick of seein' the other wankers gettin' it wrong all the time and need ta shown 'em all how it's done proper like".
She tilted her head back and looked up at the sky again; her long red hair, pulled back in her characteristic braid swayed a little in the breeze. The grey uniform T-shirt clung to her far-more-than-ample curves, emphasising how big she was in all dimensions; the cow wasn't thin, nor petite, but her carefree and confident demeanour matched up well with how well the bovine wore her weight - and size.
She looked back to Max after a moment, looking down as she curled one of her thick, powerful arms and gave a small smile. "I'm near back to fightin' fit," she commented. "Before too long, I'll be back on the front line wi' the rest of you, and then I'll really get tae showin' yeh how it's done all right".
She looked back out to the water and her long ears flicked in amusement, piercings gleaming in the sunshine. "Look at the boss go," she said with a smirk. "D'you think he got an outboard motor fitted when they put that arm on?"
No further action on this after five days? Guess it might be time to put this one on the back burner, if there's no active interest.
Silver padded out onto the sand, wiggling his booted paws in the soft white sand and drawing lines in it. He shaded his eye with one hand, grinning as Max came back up the beach. "Can't say I blame ya," he said with a chuckle as he looked back down at the leonine pilot.
He looked toward the water and sighed with a shrug. "Ah, th' hell with it". He unbuttoned his BDU shirt and shrugged it off, before untying and tugging off his boots, pulling his T-shirt off over his head and awkwardly kicking out of his BDU pants, before sprinting down the beach and diving into the water in his boxer shorts, plunging head-and-shoulders beneath the water and swimming out with powerful strokes.
From the beach, Cat laughed at the display, shaking her head as she watched the older fox throw himself into the water. For her part, the big cow toed the sand with the tip of her cloven hoof, dragging a little trench through it, before taking off her own BDU shirt and tying it around her waist, stretching out in the sun with a pleasant sigh, before sitting down on the sand to watch as Silver swam to and fro.
