My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Sounds like something I'd would've enjoyed back when I listened to the radio. I guess South Africa got it instead. But it has a solid melody.

@AcetheKidd Pretty sure your the last one that needs to post. ;3
"My work consists of long hours of traveling and endurance and since you're accompanying me, you'll need to keep your strength up. I need you to be fully efficient and you look like you haven't eaten for at least a day..." Bastian said.

"Such a softie." The vendor muttered while going back to sitting down beside the chest. Bastian overheard, but ignored his comment. Leading Elizabeth away to an active vendor full of mercenaries, selling various cooked meat on a bone, skewers, other natural produce. The prices weren't cheap but it was far from extravagant. An older gentleman, with a long pointed chin with a stretched and slender body, perpetually hunched over serving each customer quickly with impatient hand gestures, never even looking anyone in the eye.

"What would you like to eat? Choose something you can carry." The vendor approached leering at Elizabeth.

@Gelatinous Cube He does such a good job connecting his albums with musical reprises and lyrical call backs. They've basically become one my favorite bands...I cannot wait for the new EP. <.< Thank You Scientist is an enjoyable one too.

Here's a band that music nerds are suppose to enjoy. :P Very progressive and experimental rock. (Have a 30 minute song apparently...) May be giving their albums a listen in the near future, because it's pretty enjoyable. Despite most of this song not being in the same language.

A 4 minute version for the impatient
@Azure Flame Oh, I -was- right the first time. I -was- tired. Eh, both work. :P
My very quick ways to improve writing and using tools to help you realize your crutches as a writer and advice for roleplayers and GM's.

wordcounttools.com This is one of many sites that can help you do these things.

1. Spellcheck, before you post on the thread. It's simple, several browsers (and add on's.) straight up do the work for you and it shows the basic amount of respect that you're putting effort with those you're roleplaying with. Don't do a job, half-assed. Especially a hobby that's supposed to be based on passion and imagination.

2. Check for the words/phrases you're using. (or overusing) The more vocabulary you can use the better. Check with tools. For unique word percentage and it can give you an idea of grade level. (Though not perfectly, because fantasy words will skew it. More complexity doesn't automatically make writing good, though it doesn't really hurt if you know how.) Since roleplaying is an interactive medium between others, you have to make your writing actually interesting. Skip how detailed the bridge their crossing is, no one cares. Eliminate words that you don't need. Add real drama/turmoil. Do whatever to you can to not repeat yourself, quality over quantity is the most important.

3. If you cannot go with the flow when roleplaying, don't do it. GM's just let people have fun and don't add hundreds of unnecessary rules that just confuse most people and aren't followed anyway. You really don't need rule that says, don't god mod. This is obvious. If the rule can be described as "I'm the GM, I have final say." Then just post that. Players don't question or argue with the GM ad-nauseum. If you're the one stupid enough to try to god mod, prepare to be punished for it.

4. If you're going to drop something or go somewhere for a long time, post why and if/when your coming back. There is no excuse. We all live in the real world, everyone values not having their time wasted. It's common courtesy.

5. Have fun, be active and take constructive criticism in your writing. You can only improve when someone tells you about flaws you didn't know you had.

@mdk@The Harbinger of Ferocity I swear I have no idea how you two deal with this stuff...

You thought that Poohead was left wing.

My man...something about the things you say. Just draws me in...

Literally 97% of scientists in the field confirm that climate change is real and caused by humans. I don't know how anyone who is sane can deny it.

Feminism just means equal rights for everyone! (paraphrased because cant be bothered)

Pray tell, what person on the right has these opinions? These aren't centrist, they're complete delusions that aren't even worth talking about, yet hear I am. :I

Two quick debunks. While I'm here.

1. Egalitarianism is word for a reason...

2. Aside from the fact that “consensus” is not how science is settled — there was at one point consensus that the earth was flat — the “97 percent” figure came from a small study in 2009 that asked only two questions of a group of scientists, only a handful of whom even responded. Of those, only a small percentage were actually climate scientists.

In the end, the 97 percent figure came from around 70 climate scientists agreeing that the earth had warmed marginally over the past two centuries and that human activity may have played a role in that warming. That’s it. So stop goddamn using it already!

I'll admit I deleted plenty of deserved sarcasm and rudeness. *to various individuals* Your welcome.
Bastian lead Elizabeth to the same beastfolk vendor, having just served several customers that were in the process of leaving. The vendor gave him an odd glare to the both of them, when Bastian came up to him.

"I want work and half my payment in advance. I'll have it done before closing." Bastian stated. The beastfolk vendor sighed, rubbing his mane with his sharp claws.

"You don't listen to a word I say do you? I suppose there's no use arguing with you." The beastfolk vendor half-muttered, going toward his chest, sifting through his pockets to find a key and unlocking it quickly. Bastian simply watches him silently, putting coins into a bag and taking out a scroll, putting both on the table in front of Bastian. Bastian took the scroll, using a claw to open and read it.

"I'm giving you twenty percent. Have a problem, go elsewhere. If you haven't scared them off already." The beastfolk chided shifting his eyes to Elizabeth, slyly smiling. "You didn't pick one with a lot of meat on their bones. Hardly enough for a meal." Bastian gave the beastfolk a glare, before the vendor snickered.

"I don't find that funny and I will not let you scare her." Bastian carried the scroll and small bag of coins in the opposite paw, he faced her. "I'm not going to hurt to you. Let's get you something to eat." Bastian said giving her a slight smile.
