My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

My 1X1 Interest Check: SleepingSilence's Tavern (Want 1x1 RP's? Please come in.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Also, if I can seriously respond to something that isn't apart of my business, nor affects me in the slightest. As a GM, the whole point of an interest check/OOC is to make everything crystal clear. You can be elaborate and you can be simple. But you need to capture as many interested eyes as possible and get them to understand what will be occurring. Displaying any and all rules they must follow as coherently as possible.

If you're putting the OCC in code, making secrets...or directly/indirectly impeding the users ability to read it. All you're doing is stroking an ego and failing to understand what an OOC is suppose to be for...

You want to do weird experimental stuff? Like have people switch character sheets at random? Or maybe make your own fake language in a post that players need to decipher? You can, but you need to state it clearly and do it in the actual IC.
If I see a password or 'do x or y to join' I'm instantly noping out no matter how interested I am. I'm here to write, not jump through a GM's hoops, lol.

@catchamber You really want to debate free will with someone don't ya?
@Odin
Despite the fact that woman actually now have a higher percentage of them that play "games". How many world champion female gamers do you know?

That was sarcasm, I don't want to get in that discussion. Hence the crossing out, JUST IN CASE SOMEONE OUT THERE DOESN'T GET IT.

Hey, you can be sarcastic all you want. But I'm still waiting for you and the seven or so people actually taking/defending your previous statements seriously about judging -my- writing to admit, you don't actually care about quality and that nothing I said was ever worth getting a moderator to patronize me for it. :I

Not really, I kind of already went over that and the whole not caring thing...I've been aware of the irony all along. I'm just joining in the memes at this point.

xd this prank youtube video porves my point!

Just read that again. :I

You couldn't have watched in one minute and it also isn't a prank. It agrees with both of our statements that men and women shouldn't (and don't) get offended by complements, but the video is debunking the progressive cat-calling video that people took seriously.

@Odin
1. The sex toy industry has catered to woman for decades, and not a single (worthwhile) man has ever given two fricks. I don't think it's worth the doom and gloom that it was given. Let people do what they want in their own bedrooms.

2. Well the thing is, you're right. No one normal, gets offended by someone saying "good morning" on the street. But that's not the message being pushed by progressives. (Maybe it's just strange because in america we're considered "too friendly" to people outside the U.S but yes, we strike up conversation with strangers...that's what social interaction is. *this is a general statement*)

3. I wouldn't say making up lies about rape statistics is exactly progressing anything forward. In fact I'd say it's backtracking progress made by sex positive feminists. (I guess maybe that could refer to the rating of '0' part too?) Though still feels disconnected to the idea of society has progressed.

@World Traveler
I've never experienced it outside of this forum either. But that goes without saying at this point, this forum has shown me a lot of very strange things involved in roleplaying. You really should read the entire sheet/OC before applying. But I fully understand when some people have rules that outright contradict others or have terrible structuring. It can be more difficult than necessary to parse information.

But what kills me, is when GM's or people in charge don't follow their own rules or give random exceptions to some and not others making the rules meaningless. But I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, so I'll leave it brief.

@Raddum
Some people literally put stuff like that in hiders, maybe even a hider within a hider. I can't imagine them being surprised when over half the people that try to join completely miss it. But if you accept all those people anyway, a lot of good that clever thing did?
@Dynamo Frokane I mean there are some feminists that genuinely get upset over the idea of sex robots. Also, there is some truth in the idea of perfected male and females in anime or in art. A lot of art portrays women or men with flawless complexions and slim or muscle bound bodies. Have exaggerated features to appeal to certain fetishes or just certain things you'll likely only see in fantasy. And most portrayals in romance anime or even fiction are perfected idolized versions of woman and man respectively. It doesn't necessarily help in this age of, "complementing a girl could be sexual harassment" era either. And I'm sure the lie of every 4 of 3 woman getting raped (on purpose before you even ask) probably aren't giving them much confidence either. (also the '0' score doesn't show that there's many with the same mindset. So I think the coast is clear.)
So we're going full circle on the free will debate, I see.

I feel debating something this philosophical, won't do well with using meme's and without links/thoughtful consideration. So I'm basically pressing the "nope" button on this one. :D
Bastian closed his eyes and placed his paw against the door. He could feel the presence of magic coating the door, trapped for forced entry. Hearing sounds of footsteps on the other side, remaining still until the door swung open. A heavily bearded man wearing ragged clothes, soaked in blood carrying a large cleaver, arm raised over his head and preparing to attack. Bastian didn’t flinch, promptly grabbing the man’s wrist firmly and taking Elizabeth’s hand. The man hardly struggled, only dropping his arm to his side, once Bastian released his tight grip.

“I’m not here to kill you, but I’m not here for good news either.” Bastian said solemnly, revealing the small keepsake and dropping it in the man’s opened palm. Anguish immediately filled the man’s face when he recognized the initials, staring down at his palm.

“Is that why you smell of blood?” He asked. Bastian gave a brief nod in response. “You must be someone he trusted to know about me...so what did my blood brother promise you?”

“I don’t seek reimbursement. I need your brother’s wagon and steed. They killed your brother because he gave me information on who stole my children and he also protected me...I can’t let his information or his sacrifice be wasted.” Bastian explained over the thunder cracking in the distance. Drowned out by the man, hearing dozens of voices whispering over each other. The man eyes focused on Elizabeth.

Bastian remembered his friend’s warning about his blood brother, he explained both were soldiers in the same battalion and due to their similar age, being the youngest, they spent the most time together talking about their lives and connected through a dire time. Saving each other lives and experiencing the horrors of war, but the aftermath left him incredibly paranoid and greatly affecting his mental state. He isolated himself from others, becoming a butcher to reminisce in smell of the fallen. The beastkind used to be a traveling merchant, garnering as much wealth from his highly detailed wooden sculptures and sanctimonious charms, coming back to visit and give his brother money for alcohol, drugs and prostitutes, he remained a fractured soul that couldn’t ever life in normalcy.

Though he wasn’t certain, he had suspected that he has killed one of the prostitutes when they turned up missing. But he couldn’t bare sending his only good memories of the past to the gallows. The beastkind now always stayed in this wretched city, to keep an eye on the only other person he cared about as recompense for his careless actions. He swore that his brother was a gentle and kind man but warned that any woman that ventured near his brother, needed to be in a relationship already. His brother tended to leave them be, but any that crossed his path otherwise may be relentlessly pursued for love. He didn’t know what his brother was capable of when he became lustful, only ever being told that’s when the voices in his head get the loudest…

Bastian gritted his teeth, taking hold of Elizabeth’s hands. “I’m sorry, this is my young lover. She has been recently traveling with me. I don’t like leaving her alone, you know how dangerous this city can be at night.” Bastian said forcing a chuckle and a casual tone though it was almost embarrassing to watch him trying to lie. The man blinked and looked at Bastian, wiping some dried blood off his cheek.

“Are you sure about that?” The man questioned seeming doubtful. Bastian placed his soaked paw on her shoulder and moved her closer to him, feeling her wet skin. Despite both of them being drenched in rain, Bastian still emanated warmth like being beside a fireplace.

“Please, she’s getting drenched out here and I don’t have time to spare. I promise to get revenge for your brother but I need his wagon and steed to do it.” Bastian stated firmly trying to shift control of the conversation.

“If she’s cold, she can come inside my slaughter house. Fire’s always on, long as you don’t mind the smell…” The man replied biting his lower lip. “She doesn’t strike me as someone who's attracted to beastkind. I want to see you two kiss...”

Bastian expression didn’t hide his frustration, glancing at Elizabeth to see how she was handling the situation.
