My Very Brief Bio

Male, 31 years old. (So I'm practically dead, as we speak.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

My 1X1 Interest Check: SleepingSilence's Tavern (Want 1x1 RP's? Please come in.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

@Ellri Not for nothing, but when not one character sheet has been considered finished/approved in 20 plus days, that doesn't tend to lead to an active RP. (Most RP's here die if it takes everyone more than a week to say/post anything.)

The fact there's at least five players on 'staff' should be obviously benefiting something, in some way. But since helping it be a speedy process or engaging with other roleplayers doesn't seem to be the point. It just burdens the RP if any of five decide to leave or are wholly absent. (Assuming they're even needed.) And I suppose the project hasn't even been finished yet, since its still undergoing recent OOC/CS updates. (Though if something isn't considered active yet, it probably shouldn't have been posted...)

But putting all that aside for a moment. I based the position at the bottom for post frequency and number. It's one RP. For something that's been on the top of the page for so long, and still doesn't have many users that have made any character sheets intended for an unlimited number to participate in. (And by all accounts hasn't even launched yet according to you...)

So if such updates are coming in the near future, yes, my proposal remains the same for the same reasons. But I wish you the best of luck.

I suppose if I must give my two cents when it comes to prioritizing sections. If any reorganization is going to be done, it should be this way and this is why...

1. News/Introductions/Problems&Questions > Only makes sense to still have these on top, because it would theoretically encourage members to know anything important going on about the forum itself. People would instantly know where problems are, and be more inclined to notice if new threads about problems show up. (Similarly beneficial to introductions.)

2. Roleplaying > We all come to roleplay. It's the most active and relevant thing. This should on the top next. (And it should be in order of popularity and actual use. *Observed by post numbers and frequency.*)
  • Free
  • Casual
  • Advanced
  • 1x1
  • Nation
  • Arena
  • Tabletop
  • Persistent World (This has proven to not be interesting to most roleplayers on site, it has no activity. It should not be in its own section, on the top above roleplaying. Nor at the top of the roleplaying section for that matter.)

3. *Every other add-on involved with roleplaying.* (The order is based of usage, but is more arbitrary as any order will do.)
  • Roleplaying Discussion
  • Character Sheets
  • Contests
  • Gallery
  • Article&Guides

4. Miscellaneous (Has little/nothing to do with roleplaying.)
  • Off-Topic Discussion (Makes both categories start off with discussion threads. Encourages dialogue.)
  • Spam (Maybe changed to Forum Games & Spam. For accuracy's sake.)
  • Testing (Hardly used and is better off at the bottom.)

Ravi

Ravi assessed the unfolding situation, laying low and still as tension tingled from tongue to tail. “Okay, only one's coming. And it's getting closer. What should I do? What should I say? If we can get that bird off our backs and flee, that would be the least risky to our team's safety...I think...”

While primarily focusing on the skies at the edge of the entrance, he was still listening to his surroundings. Everyone else seemed prepared for the initial fight, but the rest remained ambiguous between what each member considered moral and safe. Realizing that Celina had charged in to save the other pokemon. It was alive, but helpless by itself. Should they willfully let it perish? Would that be something he could stomach? Speaking up in calculated tone to clarify that this needed to be a unified decision. “When it nears the ground, I should be fast enough to attack first. I’ll wrap around its body and make it unable to escape. Then you all can follow up with attacks wherever its exposed. But we need to unanimously decide if we’re going to try to help defeat the other hostiles. It will be our best chance if we swarm them now. But if even one of us stays behind, we’ll all be in grave danger.”

It was a definite risk either way and he didn’t possess the coldness, nor courage to sway his members one way or another. Believing whatever choice they made would be correct and executed by Ravi without hesitation.
Well crossed fingers that dice rolls and statistics won't play a part in this. Since we aren't aware how acutely aware they are of their surroundings yet. All of them could have been solely focused on attacking that one bird. So if the sing does fail, maybe that also spares them from noticing another target to rush. Since Sing ‎is normally a 50/50 ordeal (55% in games to be specific) and if it is distributed individually, means some may fall asleep and others might immediately now know something is up and start trying to locate and frenzy attack the source. (Though they're huddled up together so maybe 'luck' could consider that as a group...)

I'd say it was a good action in IC. As it makes sense for a moral character to try to stop another innocent being from getting hurt. But in OC, it feels like a Leeroy Jenkins moment where a character aggro's an aggressive party of monsters when the rest of the party isn't prepared for it. :P
