In Depth Appearance:
"I'm like a tiny firecracker I suppose, bright orange hair, tiny height. That, by no means, should make me your shoulder rest, why do people do that?"

Elizabeth's younger age in comparison to many of her friends is very obvious in regards to her height. Standing at a measly 5'0 with little hope in growing another inch let alone to average height makes her the perfect arm rest for most, much to the teen's annoyance. She possesses quite a slim build. Elizabeth's hair is, naturally, a dull blonde/brown colour, however, she keeps on top of dying it and favours a bold orange as her hair colour. Her hair reaches just below her shoulders in a choppy, layered fashion and is dead straight, Courtney doesn't have much interest in trying to curl it. Her rounded almond-shaped eyes are a deep hazel though, under different lighting, can seem lighter or, sometimes almost brown. Her skin is naturally quite light and sports very few freckles. Her lips are, too, quite pale in colour, occasionally try to use a deeper colour lipstick but just can't be bother half the time.

"I prefer to feel comfortable than look pleasing, not that I don't like dresses. I wear a bit of make-up when I can be bothered but I could never get really into it like a lot of girls do,"

Despite a basic layer of natural make-up Lizzy isn't a huge wearer of it, she can't even be bothered to wear it every few days. She does, however, have some nicer stuff she uses for very special and rare occasions. As far as her style goes Lizzy dresses more for comfort than style and often opts for a loose shirt and a pair of jeans or shorts, however, she isn't afraid to wear a dress on occasions. Her pair of black converse boots are her favoured item in her wardrobe.

Sixteen and the voice of reason and peacekeeper among most of her friends despite being the youngest. Elizabeth is wise beyond her years and very mature and level-headed. She is often offering advice to her friends in need. She's a very kind and sweet young girl but she's not afraid to raise her voice if she doesn't agree with something. She's often asking if her friends if they are in need of anything and is always willing to drop everything to rush to a friend's side. She's a shoulder to cry on and is happy to sit and listen as someone throws all their worries and problems on her to be returned with loving words or advice. Seemingly fun-loving and good-natured Lizzy isn't particularly shy or timid, however, she's not a fan of being under the limelight and prefers to watch her loved ones shine and guide them from the sidelines. She deeply believes there's good in all people, almost to a fault, she'll be quick to point on her concerns and one's faults. She's very trusting which can leave her open for betrayal or to be used. She can come across quite clingy at times when she considers someone in need of love. Her mother-like ways can make her come across annoying at times, not that she means it. 

"What me? I'm fine thanks, you know I always am but that's enough about me, how are you?"

Underneath it all, however, Elizabeth's life is a messy. Her parents recently divorced and are constantly at each other's throats for custody over Elizabeth and her younger brother. She's watched her grades, once straight As fall to Bs and Cs. She has no idea what to do with her life, or even if she would have one waiting for her. One of the reasons she's always there for others, despite it being natural to her nature, is it's one of the few things that make her feel relevent in the world. She has no idea what to do and often feels worthless. She keeps this part of her life locked away from others, quite successfully, even from her closest friends leaving it to build up in her until she finally loses it in the privacy of her room or silently in the bathroom. The last thing she want is someone finding out. She doesn't want to "burden people with her crap" so she pastes on a smile and pretend everything's ok. She laughs, she jokes around and sometimes, occasional, she believes it though it's not long before she remembers the true wreck that's her life.

"If I had to live off 5 things I'd have a friend that I can cuddle, probably Ariel, she's practically my sister or my brother Josh, no, screw that, can my friends be one? Like all of them, just my best friends, Josh included? So my best friends including Josh, tea (lots of it), food- good food- a lot of that stuff too, my keyboard/synth thing and every decent song on the planet!"

Biography:
"I mean I was an accident but I'm trying to be a good one,"

Elizabeth was born into this world an accident. Hannah, her mother, was only approaching her 16th year when she fell pregnant with the son of James, her then boyfriend, now ex-husband. Hannah's parents were extremely disappointed with their daughter and at the beginning of her pregnancy they couldn't so much as look at her without expressing shame. Luckily, they came through in the end. Being heavily against abortion they left Hannah with no choice but to continue the pregnancy and put the child up for adoption, which was their plan throughout the whole pregnancy. It was at 3am on a rainy April morning that Elizabeth graced the world with her presence 5 weeks early. For Hannah it was a long at painful birth but as much as her and James attempted to force the idea to stick in their minds neither could give up their tiny, very tiny for that matter, bundle of joy.

Under the watchful eyes of two sets of grandparents and her parents, who continued their studies, from quite a young age Elizabeth had no choice but to learn to adjust to different schedules and routines easily. She never posed to be a problem and would only throw the occasional temper tantrum when didn't get her way. It wasn't long, however, before she grew out of it. From a very young age she proved to be a sweet and loving little girl and never got over her love for hugs.

Elizabeth was 5, not far off 6, when her parents married. Even now she can recall the day to almost precise detail and claims it to be one of her fondest memories. It was only weeks after Hannah and James returned from their honeymoon they discovered Hannah was once again pregnant and on the September of that year she gave birth to a healthy young boy they called Joshua. From there was all happy families for quite a few years. Hannah and James were deep in love and loved their children even more. Elizabeth adored Josh and the pair got along really well. It all just worked, alas, that happiness was not made to last.

It was drunkenness that first led to Elizabeth's parents' fighting. She was 13 when it all started. There would be screaming, the slamming of doors, insults and breaking bottles, sometimes even yelps in pain. As the drunken pair fought into the night. Elizabeth would crawl into her brother's bed, hold him close, tell him everything was going to be okay (even though she didn't believe it herself) and would sing him to sleep. It was that first night Elizabeth vowed to never get drunk in fear of coming to the state of her parents. As time went on the couple no longer need the aid of alcohol to fuel their anger but the tiniest disagreements snowballed into huge fights. I wasn't until only months before the roadtrip that they finally divorced but now they continuously fight over custody of Lizzy and Josh and she hates it.

Secret:
She keeps silent about how broken she actually is and has done so successfully. On top of that she mentioned her parent's divorce as something that just happens and hasn't told anyone about the drinking and fighting.

* She has quite an amazing voice and uses it often yet doesn't think it to be too great
* A big trigger in Lizzy's feeling of worthlessness was one of the first nights her parents fought. Her parent both screeching at each other their wishes the 'accident' never happened. Of course, they meant it in regards to each other and not their only daughter but it's still a common force pushing Lizzy's mind to remind her she's nothing but a mistake, an accident.
